Reina glanced at Shay and thought about what was taking her broom so long.
"Crap. I forgot I locked my broom in my closet. It's probably breaking out of it right now. Good thing I don't have a head of house, eh?"
Reina intentionally ignored Shay's comment. Reina and Shay were alright friends, but if she discovered how far down in the dark, the blackness, how much hate she held in her Shay would probably run off and ruin any chance of Reina doing what she had to do.

"Er... yeah," Shay nodded carefully. Something must have changed in Reina, she concluded. Because she wouldn't be so stiff as she was then.
Twirling the broom in one hand and combing through her hair with the other, she added, "It's a shame that head of house didn't last. But then again... who doesn't?"

Reina laughed as she saw a dark speck in the air zooming towards them.
"Yeah. Then again we are Slytherin and we can handle ourselves. We don't need no freaking Head of House. We got this."
Reina caught her broom and laughed.
"We can also turn this into a race. Loser does Winners homework."

Shay lifted her eyebrow in skepticism. She knew that if she would win, Reina would never do her homework. And if she did, Shay wouldn't quite want it. And being the pushover that she was, she would have to do it. "No bets. Just a clean race," Shay said as she mounted her broom and hovered patiently over Reina.

Reina gave a small laugh that was more sinister than nice. Reina looked at Shay and if she was paying attention would see so much pain, hurt, and alot of anger there.
"Yeah, okay. Well, let's go."
Reina jumped on her broom and hovered next to Shay. She magically whipped her hair into a bun.
"You call it," she yelled.

Shay brushed out hair from her eyes and nodded. In all honesty, she didn't feel like a race. But you can't have it all, can't you?
Arching her back for a little stretch, she recanted to lean foward and prepare. "On your marks... Get set..." Shay made a sideglance at Reina before saying, "GO!" She accelerated abruptly after the call.

Reina watched her speed off and laughed silenty to herself. She's pretty fast. Reina watched Shay go around a bend and dissappear. Reina shook her head and floated to the ground and turned back the way she had run to finish doing what she had started.
"You win," she said in a normal voice that Shay probably couldn't even hear.

As they came back to the point, Shay carried her look of puzzlement. "Wha-What? I barely even saw you on my tail," She wondered if she really did win the match, and just flatly accepted it. "I guess that means we need to work on your speed and turning. You're usually so good Reina. What happened?"

Reina looked shocked.
"What? Oh yeah. Yeah we probably need to."
Okay, so I'm not getting work done today. Maybe I can see how Shay feels...naw.
"I've been slacking off and you were so good I felt...bad."

Shay absolutely fell for it, "Aww.... Reina, there is no need to feel shame. We're just in training still, and you can trust me with helping you." She gave a little smile to try to cheer Reina up.

Reina lowered her head as though she really was embarassed.
"You'll truly help me Shay? Really?"
Reina rolled her eyes at the ground then as she was talking her voice cracked unintentionally making it authentic.
"I don't know ho- thank you."

"It's no problem, really," Shay said, a bit disturbed by Reina's reaction. But if she really needed the help, Shay wouldn't try to to back down on it already. Rising higher in the air, Shay motioned for the Slytherin to come up as well. "Let's do something basic. Just go through the clear pathway here, and go around that thick tree. Remember to break a little before the turn so you don't go all out and miss the U-turn."

Reina stared at Shay and blinked. For a full 5 mins she didn't say a word.
"Shay, that's like first year stuff. I'm a sixth year. I'M NOT THAT BAD! I'm not doing somting that would be for first years."
Reina crossed her arms and stuck up her chin a little.

Sure whines like one, Shay thought, but banished the thought. She was helping her, not insulting her. "Okay, then.... if this is first year stuff, then I'm pretty sure that you can master it very well." She didn't budge. All she wanted to see was her doing the drill.

Reina nodded her head.
"Yup I totally already mastered that."
Reina took a deep breath. Shay wasn't better than her and if she kept pushing Reina was going to have to do the best acting of her life. Pretending that she sucked, which should tip Shay off. Slytherin wouldn't have anyone less than sweet on a broom as a chaser. Also she would have to pretend to get better as Shay helped her along.
