No New Posts The Great Lake

Located on the south end of Hogwarts School is a large ominous body of water between the castle itself and Hogsmeade Station. Full of mysterious and dangerous things all it's own, it's unknown depths are home to everything from Grindylows to Merpeople. Students can usually be found mingling on it's shore skipping stones, kicking their feet in the water, or watching the Giant Squid.

No New Posts Herbology Classroom

The thick, pungent smell of soil and grass is trademarked to the Herbology classroom found among the greenhouses on the east side of the school, shadowed by the Forbidden Forest in the distance. Here one can expect to meet any number of plants their professor has in store for them.

No New Posts The Greenhouses

Divided between four greenhouses are the mysterious and magical plants of Hogwarts. Frequented by Herbology students, one quickly learns to distinguish between the four. The most dangerous of plants are housed in Greenhouse Four, the most meek in Greenhouse One. Choose wisely if you wish to travel there alone.

No New Posts Groundskeeper's Hut

Around the hut dedicated to the Care of Magical Creatures Department, there lies a modest yet versatile shack, containing the residency of the groundskeeper. The groundskeeper's Hut has plenty of things, from old student files, to planting supplies, to practice qudditch instruments. Although the office was once considered a battered plaything for the mischievous students, a little sweep and swipe here makes it quite welcoming, for its resident usually awaits knocks on the door.

No New Posts The Quidditch Pitch

The roar of students mingling with the buzz of zooming brooms and the fast murmur of a game commentary can be heard from anywhere on the grounds once Quidditch season starts at Hogwarts. Located northwest of the castle, this is always a place of observation. Whether a game is in session, a house team practicing, or upper classmen taking to brooms for their own enjoyment, there is always something to see.

No New Posts Care of the Magical Creatures Classroom

Right on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Hargrid's hut still stands. But it no longer carries any evidence that the good-natured half-giant used to live there. The inside was turned into a classroom, filled with professor and student desks alike. The pumpkin patch, however, remains and the fenced area out back is often used when the professor is presenting a new magical creature to the class.

No New Posts The Forbidden Forest

Enveloping the entire east end of the Hogwarts Grounds is the Forbidden Forest, often referred to as the Dark Forest, and rightfully so. It is off limits to students of any age or rank and rightfully so. Full of dangerous beasts and the unknown and mysterious, it is not a place the soft of heart would wish to go. Be warned of it's dangers and especially what will happen if you are caught within it.

Board Description
Hogwarts Grounds
Hogwarts residents are not just secluded to the stiff halls and passages of the castle and it is often encouraged for them to travel abroad to prevent cabin fever. There are many exciting places to go and things to see on the school grounds, you just have to find them. But heed well, some places are off limits for a reason. Just because they are there doesn't mean they are safe.
