Kellen was jazzed. He'd had a headache earlier in the day, one so bad he was almost afraid he wouldn't be able to play. But it had cleared up completely and he felt fine. He'd been preparing silently, mentally, for the game, not to mention stretching his muscles beyond just warming up. His shoulders had been stiff since that whole statue incident, and the last time he needed to pull a muscle or something was during a Quidditch match.
His bells jingled as he warmed up in the corner, still not speaking.

Devlin, being a new member, had pleanty of things to carry, personal equipment that he hadn't stored in a locker yet, posters of quidditch players and basically every thing else you'd find in a sports fan's locker...though now wasn't the time to set it all up. He wondered how the house would work together in, since he got there, their first organized house event. This would be the test, not only for his newly found gang but for him as well, respect came with victory and that was something he was willing to fight for especially if it got the girls to stop calling him Eflo.

A long, shrill whistle filled the stadium. Ryder's eyes fell on the doors of the locker rooms, waiting for the teams to appear. They had two minutes before the game started. Anyone not there would have to miss this game and hope for better luck next time. He wasn't going to shift games around anymore.

Hearing the whistle, Charlie began to roar at the team, if only to get them pumped up. "C'mon you guys! Up and at 'em, we've got a score to settle!" Charlie ended the last of her stretches and lead the pack of Slytherins to the pitch. She hoped to Merlin that the rest would show up.

When Mr Hailey sounded the whistle calling the teams out from their lockerrooms, Elliot moved to the edge of his seat. His Prefects, those dastardly demon-gets, had shangheid a team with zealous force of will and not a few outright slaps to the face. Diablo and Jones would have their team if they had to prop the corpses of their housemates up on brooms and perform a few locomotor charms.
He grinned outwardly at the very idea and knew it wasn't beyond the girls. Nevertheless, he hoped they made a successful showing. Barbaric, forceful leadership was leadership nonetheless.

Melody walked out onto the stands, and headed over into the Slytherin stands. True she was not a Slytherin, but they seemed to be emptier then the Ravenclaw stands, her own house. She sat away from the others in the stands, and her pale green eyes were fixated on the pitch. She wasn't one to enjoy these events, but she didn't want to be the only one in the school not to go to the name.
As the quidditch players walked on the field, she stared at them idly, as she wished one day to be seeker. She was of the perfect frame, small and light, and perfect eyes. Not to mention she would distract the other team with her natural beauty. She didn't believe she was beautiful, but truly she was. WIth long black hair, pale green eyes, and high-cheek bones, many turned her way.

"Alright guys show time!" Hiro said when the whistle reached his sensitive ears. Usually the captain would say something but he couldn't wait to get out there. Once in the air all the worries left so the sooner the better.

Drew took a quick lap around the stadium, blowing a raspberry at Charlie as he passed her, a symbol of the luck he wished her team. In reality, he knew the girl was a good player.
Shame she was on a crappy team.

Charlie reciprocated the gesture, showing the last bit of sportsmanship before the fangs could come out. Leading her team out to do a few laps to warm up, she pep-talked them the whole way.
"We've got as gooduva chance to get those quaffles and the snitch like those birdbrains. You fight your way to the balls, ya hear me? Watch for your wings (players on the sides), and don't worry about protection. Us beaters got your back. You feel unsafe? Holler. Ya hear me?!? Holler!"

Abigail, clad in her heavy black cloak and black and yellow scarf, climbed up into the near-empty Hufflepuff stands. She grabbed a seat near the back for the best view, her eagerness evident by her bright face. Her father a muggle and deceased mother her only connection to the wizarding world, Abby had seen few quidditch matches (and had never played in one). She was very interested in the magical sport and grinned at the tension in the stands. Blue banners and scarves covered an entire section; green and silver posters shimmered with glitter. Rubbing pink hands together, the first year allowed her eyes to scan the stands and finally the field. The teams were taking laps around the pitch.

"GO TEAM BLUE!" Allegra crowed, rallying the Ravenclaws as she flew around the pitch. She took her spot in the center and faced the Slytherins. She knew the Snakes had a plan and she just hoped she had prepared her team for whatever they might try to pull.

"Hope you're not rusty on the plays." Hiro called to Drew as he took his postion. Like many things He and Drew were often on the same wavelength so they had made their own set of plays to break up formations and the like. Hiro twirled his bat in one hand as the ends of his blindfold waved slightly in the passing air.

"Me? Rusty?" Drew answered back. With all of the practicing Allegra made them do, there wouldn't have been a chance. "Slytherin wishes..." He swung his bat to loosen up his arms a bit more as he waited for the balls to be released.

Lily took a warm up lap around the pitch, ready as ever to play. "Let's go Ravenclaw!" She yelled into the air. She was more than ready to kick some Slytherin butt. They deserved to have their butts kicked after the common room incident and maybe this time it would be Lily pushing Reina off her broom.

Kellen jumped up and down a few times to make sure he was ready before grabbing his broom and taking off around the pitch, finding his place by the goal hoops. He flew figure eights around them a few times, until he felt as confident as he ever had around them. This was going to be a good match.
