Anna was a little worried at this point. It almost had to be starting time and yet two really important players on the team were still missing. "I hope they show up soon or at least one of them." she thought. They could alway put Benita in, but the fact that she was broom sick didn't help to much. "She must be really brave to want to fly for the team, even if she gets broomsick. She is a true Gryffindor." Then just standing there silently, she hope that the others would show up.

Dan smiled, feeling a little relieved as he saw Keagan walk into the Locker room. And after her a few more people came in. Soon they might have the whole team. " Who's missing? " Dan asked aloud. He wasn't too sure at that point who was missing from the group, but he didn't want to overlook something. He stood up only to lean against a wall nearby.

Beni saw that she may have had to fullfill her promise. Feeling the slight tinges of a headache come on, she was going to have to get the gear on. Looking from player to player, she got to the locker of brooms and took one out.
Sighing, she put up a smile. "Tell me if I need to be ready, mate. If I don't ralph because I'll be too woozy, it'll be because I've got my knickers in a twist." She was a people person, that was true, but she was had an acute stage fright.

Roxy listened closely to her captains speesh and followed her lead out onto the field into the pouring rain. She flew up behind the others being in the air high above the ground was wonderful. She was ready for this game. She shouted through the rain. "I'll help tha chasers as much as I can! I'm ready ta kick some lion butt!" she was ready for this game and also very eager.

The rain was getting steadily worse and Drew pulled the brim of hisw baseball cap down over his eyes before flipping the hood of his sweatshirt up over it. The game was taking forever to start and he was wondering if he should have stayed in the common room and watched from the window with his binoculars.

(I give myself permission to god-mod a bit to get this moving along)
Ryder blasted his whistle loudly, calling both teams to the center of the pitch. Once he was sure they were all there, he gave his usual speech about playing fair and having a good time. When that was done, he blew his whistle once more and released the balls.

Anna jumped off the ground and flew straight up into the air. With her beater's bat in her hand, she flew around close to her teammates. She had only been up in the air for a few seconds, but she was already soaked to the bone. Now keeping a close eye on the bludgers and the Hufflepuff team. "Ok," she thought, "You've played in these kind of conditions before. We can do this. We are going to kick Hufflepuff's butt!"

Carina's 4"7 frame walked out to the stands, perhaps a bit too house enthoustistic. For she had worn all red muggle clothing, red ribbons held her pigtails up appreciatively. She even had one of those red lady-bug umbrella's used to protect her from the unfortunate weather. She had a smile across her features, making two deep dimples appear in both cheeks. She sat down in the crowd, and screamed out through cupped hands, much louder then one would expect an eleven year old to do, "WHOOT! GO GRYFFINDOR!" She continued smiling, and hoped for the game to start.

Mike saw the Snitch for a while before it shot off, a smirk forming on his face, he flew straight towards the Gryffindor Chaser's hoping to distract them from the quaffle so Abi or Dias could take control of it, they did need to score, but it all depended on him, catching the Snitch.

Out of the corner of her eye, Anna saw a Hufflepuff dive straight for one of the Gryffindor chasers. Figuring she had a clear shot at this guy, she saw a bludger come toward her. She gave it a hard whack and it shot off directly for him.

(We were told to write Abi in because she could only be on on friday)
Roxy was at the goals awaiting the ball. She was ready to stop anything that came her way. Her eyes were fixed on the Gryffindor chasers but couldn't help but giggle slightly as Mike zoomed straight for them. She watched Abi zoom towards the Gryffindor chasers using all her might to take the Quaffle from them.

When the whistle was blown Krissy charged straight for one of the bludgers, having hit it at the other Gryffindor beater who then sent it towards Mike. She knew she had said she wouldn't protect him but right now, he needed protecting. She flew her broom straight to where he was. Putting herself right between him and the bludger and as it came flying at her swung her bat with all her might sending the bludger flying off in a different direction.
She looked around, spying the other bludger and went flying off after it. She was playing as two beaters today and for that she was working really hard.

"Game time..." He muttered as the teams were called forth on the pitch. The expected boring speech given, and now put aside, he kicked off and without even an order flew toward the Lion's hoops. He wasn't one for pep speeches, nor much of anything else, he already had planned to play his best, but the rain would surely be a hindering factor.
'Least he didn't wear glasses. and so, there he sat, following the quaffle to his best visual ability (which would be hard to read if it ever got to the other end of the pitch).
"Le's go already, this game should be a sure win." He muttered again, to himself as far as he knew. He wanted out of the weather lest he spend the next match in the Wing.

Feeling a little beaten and blown around in the wind and rain, Dan tried to pace himself for the game as he remained a bit close to the Chasers, keeping an eye on the whole team though. When he saw a bludger speeding toward Mike's direction he nodded to Anna. Then he got into position just in case any of the chasers were going to be hit.

((From Roxy's post I'm guessing that Gryff has the quaffle....))
"Okay, it's game time. We're ready for this and we've practiced for this. Beni I need you to go in as my seeker babe. Take it slow this has less flying than a chaser, just don't get sick until after you've got that snitch in your hand. I know that you can do this. Chasers, remember our strategies and tricks. We've gone over most of them and I want all of you to try and shoot so that I don't feel like a ball hog and come off bad. I want you to get a feel for it and focuse straight for the center let the ball do the rest. Since Cameron isn't here I'd like to present our alternate for her today, Miss Marian Rodgers.
"Beaters stay on us chasers. Make sure you are watching us constantly since we need the most protection most of the time. Though when ever you can take a glance at the seekers too, don't let Hufflepuff distract you, they try to do that a lot. Keeper, you keep your eye on that ball. Make sure that you have that ball in your site at all times. Please try and stay focused and not get distracted cause that is what allows balls to go through those hoops. Block them as best you can. You guys can do it, I know we can win this. Don't even think about the rain, just stay in the game. Play hard, try your best, but most importantly have fun..." Brittany went through the usual captain pre-game speech just before the whistle was blown for the game.
Stretching as she walked out on to the pitch, she carried her broom in one. Trying to shake off her first game jitters, she shook her hands and breathed slowly. Walking over to the ref she knew that she needed to inform him of her new line-up. "Sir, we have some adjustments that I need to tell you about before the game gets underway. Our new alternate, Marian Rodgers, will be playing chaser today and our other alternate, Beni Hendrix, will be playing seeker."
With that she strattled her broom and pushed off as the ball's were released. Snatching the quaffle and completely avoiding the tussle that Mike had tried to cause they were off. Wizzing down the field like their brooms had caught fire, they did a few simple tosses back and forth. Though this was only some warm-ups for the hard stuff. Suddenly, Brittany slid her broom to a stop and took a dive downwards. Aligned under Keagan, she pulled the top of her broom upwards and flew right in front of the girl. Though before she was out of reach, she had made a quick toss to Keagan and made an upside down circle to end up behind the other two Gryffindor chasers.
