Dorf looked back at the lake and breathed slowly. After a long quiet moment she looked back at Drew's wet face. She smiled and said, "that's alright, I shouldn't have taken it so personally. Childish, huh?" She took a step back and looked Drew up and down. "Your towel is just there," she said pointing to a blue towel which was not three feet away.

Drew nibbled on his lip, still worried she was mad at him. The towel would have been nice, but he was afraid she'd bold if he turned to get it. Besides, it was warm enough that he didn't really need it yet.
"I'm sorry," he said again, softer this time and making sure to catch her eyes. "I really didn't mean to upset you."

"Drew," she said meeting his eyes, "it really is fine. And if you don't stop appologizing soon I shall have to get mad at you!" She tried to keep a straight face but soo it melted away and a soft charming smile came in it's place. She realized now that she really had over reacted. "Are you just going to stand there dripping or are you going to swim again? You looked as though you enjoyed it. I certainly am not going to strip again, lost my nerve, but please don't stop on my account."

Drew shrugged back, having lost his enjoyment from the afternoon. "No, I'm good. I was starting to wrinkle anyway." He showed her his hands as if she needed proof. and shrugged again. He bit back another apology before reaching over and swiping up the towel she had summoned. "Thanks for getting me a towel," he said, offering her a small smile.

"It was my pleasure," Dorf said with a smile. "I got to use that spell, I've been dying to ever since I learned it! So I guess I need to thatnk you for giving me the chance." She smiled again. She found him very curious. She looked out over the lake again. It fascinated her. "Do you come here often?" she asked not looking at Drew, "to strip for any old girl you meet?"

Drew had been rubbing himself down with the towel, but paused when she asked that. "I'm still wearing my boxers..." he said. That one article of clothing made a big difference in his book. "But yeah. I come here a lot. I like the water. I grew up by the beach, so I miss it." He finished with a sheepish smile and another little shrug. Not too many people understood the power the ocean had over him.

As Drew answered Dorf continued to stare over the lake. "Same here," Dorf said dreamily. "When my uncle writes to me I come here and I read the letter and some how it brings me closer to him ... " for a moment she got lost in thought and memory " ... closer to home." She folded her arms and sighed. She looked over her shoulder at Drew. "And personally, I'm glad you kept them on!" She smile a devilish smile, paused, then turned her attention back to the carm cool waters of the lake.

Drew grinned back, but could feel his cheeks burn at the embarassment of going Full Monty. Nope, he was pretty sure those boxers would be staying put for a while.
"Where exactly are you from?" he asked, resuming his drying at a faster pace and hoping to steer the conversation away from his underwear.

"Outside Cork, origianally," Dorf said wistfully, "but then we move to somewhere between Ballyfeard and Minane Bridge but closer to the sea. Actually right next to the sea." She smiled, shook her head and looked down. "My word," she said to herself, "I can't even say where I live." She turned around with a confused look on her face. "But one thing I can tell you," she said with a smile, "I live in Ireland. How about you? Where do you stay?"

"Los Angeles. California. United States. You can see the ocean from my house and during the summer, my sister and I bike down," Drew answered, finally feeling like he was dry enough to pull on his pants. He rubbed the towel through his hair, but there was less urgency now that his shorts were on. One of these days he'd learn that darn drying spell.

"That's very far away," Dorf said. She saw Drew was drying his hair. She flet her own. It saw wet. She reached for her back. "Damb!" she said. Her whole back was wet. She hadn't realized it before. She quickly pulled off her hoody and looked at the damage. "Soaked!" she mumbled. She lay it on the floor next to her and stood up straight, chin high and eyes closed. She ran fingers through her long hair, soaking, she thought. She shook her hands in her hair to try get most of the moisture out and in the process got everything else wet as well. She lowered her chin and looked up at what she could see of the mop of damp hair on top of her hair. "Well at least it isn't dripping."

"It's just water. It'll dry quickly on a day like this," Drew answered as he slung the towel around his neck. He hoped they dried quickly. Otherwise, he was lible to get some teasing about the wet spot on his pants.
"You want my shirt until yours dries?" he asked, handing it over to her. No one would care if he went topless.

Dorf looked at Drew. She tilted her head and smiled her charming smile. She hesitantly took the shirt and said, "thanks." She pulled it over her head and lifted her hair out. It was baggy on her and it smelled like Drew but it was warmer then what she had on before. She looked at the tall boy again, smiled and repeated, "thanks."

"Sure," Drew answered back with a wider smile, thankful that she didn't seem to be angry at him anymore. He tugged on the ends of the towel that hung over his shoulders. "You can get it back to me when I return this, okay? Kind of like collateral."

Dorf smiled but did not look at the tall ravenclaw. Instead she looked across the lake, at the forest on it's borders. She nodded slightly in agreement and crossed her arms again. "If you want to you can call me Doxy," she said, still not looking at Drew. "I- I like it."
