{if you aren't allowing RP threads here, please lock with my apologies}
He hadn't had much of a chance to get on a broom obver the summer. There had been a little bit at Charlie's, but then at home, he had been more focused on driving. And then in Qui-lin, it had been carpets... too many carpets for his taste actually.
So he strolled out onto the pitch and took a deep breath, smelling the grass and the old wood of the stands. With a grin he mounted his broom and took off around the field.

Lily was an early riser occasionally. Alright, so that wasn't the most true statement. She had gotten up early today specifically to fly. Apparently she used to be on the quidditch team or something. Channel had told her she was so proud of a position called Chaser. That was one of the things she hadn't studied much though. So, she flew. Looking at the broom which belonged to her, though she didn't remember getting, she was inwardly terrified. How do you stay up in the air on just this little peice of wood?
She looked up and she noticed there was already someone there flying. That Vito/Drew kid. Wow, he was pretty good. Now, how exactly did she start? How did she get on this thing? It didn't even seem like it would fly.

Drew closed his eyes and grinned into the wind, knowing it was way too early to get stray bugs in your teeth. With a lazy barrel roll, he took the straight-away before banking into the turn around the backside of the golden hoops. His mind wandered to a trick his cousin had told him about... a game the team played after matches. He wasn't sure he was up for it yet. Maybe after a couple of laps.
He took the last straight away, going back towards his starting point, when he caught sight of Lily. Great. There went his perfect morning.

Lily breathed in and then she breathed out. Somehow she got it so the broom was between her legs. Now what did she do? This was kind of an awkward position. She closed her eyes and was just thinking about it for a moment when suddenly the broom took off from out underneath her. Holding on tight, she was taken on a bit of a wild ride. She was trying to control it, but it wasn't working too well as she didn't really know how. To stop herself, she actually grabbed onto one of the big golden rings. Then she couldn't let go, because of course, if she did, she would fall. Oh what a prediciment.

Drew rounded the final turn and saw Lily hanging precariously from the ring. "What game is she playing now?" Drew mumbled to himself as he started his second lap. His first thought was that hse knew the trick he had just been thinking about, but as he neared, one look at her face told him this was no game to her anymore. He pulled his broom up nearby and hovered alongside her. "What happened? Did you lose power?" he asked. Kind of an odd thing to happen, but not unheard of.

"Yeah or something like that," Lily mumbled. "I'm not even sure how to control this thing. All I know is I couldn't stop so I grabbed onto the ring to stop myself before I flew into the lake or something." That wouldn't have been good. How was she to get down from here anyways? Was she going to have to fly down or something? How could she have ever flown before. That seemed near impossible. What was she talking about? All of this was impossible, right? This whole memory loss magic thing was all a dream. In a few minutes she would wake up and be going to some muggle school in the outskirts of London with a loving happy family, instead of a half-brother and sister-in-law. Not that they weren't loving, but sometimes Lily needed a mom.

"Is it new?" Drew asked, gliding closer so he could get a better look. No, it was sthe same broom she had always used. "What did you do with it over the summer? Modify it or something?" Messing with the brooms could be kind of tricky if you didn't know what you were doing.

"I didn't do anything to it," Lily said. "I wouldn't have time to do anything to it. Besides, I couldn't fly it when Matt and Channel live in a muggle neighborhood. I've hardly touched it." Lily was getting ansty, not to mention she didn't like hanging up here feeling like she was going to fall. Personally she thought it was her. "I don't know how to fly it." She muttered. That was the real probelm. Not the broom but Lily.

"Baloney. It was fine before break," Drew told her, wondering what was with her lately. He pulled her onto his own broom and looked at hers with a practiced eye. It seemed fine, but then again sometimes charms and jinxes were hard to see. "Are you sure you didn't do anything to it?"

"I'm positive," Lily said. "Unless it happened like right after school last year. I doubt that though. I haven't touched it all summer; it's been locked in my trunk." Well her trunk wasn't locked most of the time, but it was in the same room as her and she locked it every night before she went to bed along with her schoolbooks and everything. And they were fine. Drew just didn't want to admit it, but she wasn't going to say anything to him.

Lainee was walking around the school and she was till a few yards away when she saw what could be two students just practicing or flying about, but since the ministry was so antsy and uptight she had to conclude it as suspicious behavior and watch them. Lainee stood out in the middle of the grounds watching them for anything, anything at all.

"Well someone must have messed with it," Drew told her even though he could see nothing wrong with it. He grumbled over it a while longer before deciding he was going to get nothing accomplished in the air. "Come on. Get on my broom. I can't do anything with it up here," he said, pulling her in front of him. {nice to see you Ms. Stone }

{smiles. same my child.}
Akina watched in the distance. She couldn't hear anything, but she could see. She wasn't quite sure what was going on. But as she watched, it looked like they were going to double up on a broom. Either they were boy/girlfriend or they were practicing. Maybe a get-away with one broom and two people. Akina decided to write this down.

((Lily has now been pulled onto Drew's broom twice lol))
Lily hopped onto his broom, thankful of giving her arms a break. "You think you can fix it?" Or fix me at least. She didn't voice this outloud because it seemed that Drew would never believe her. "So we're going down, to the ground?" She was a little hesitant about this. Flying, why couldn't see remember this? Oh, the same reason she couldn't remember anything else. "Do you want me to hold the broom or what?"

"Doesn't matter," Drew answered, wondering if she had never ridden tandem before. His arms were around her so even if she didn't hold on she wouldn't fall. "I'm controling it so you can just sit there if you want."
He gently lowered the broom to the ground and let her oof, too busy wondering about Lily's broom to notice the woman at the other end of the pitch.
