Vanessa barely had time to get in front of the hoops before the Gryffindor chaser came hurtling at her. Luckily, Mike blocked the shot and set the Quaffle off in the other direction. "Good job, Mike!" she yelled. Where the heck did that come from? During the last game, she had been yelling at Mike and even called him a jerk, but now she was praising him. Weird...
The next second, Nessa saw a flash of red and yellow together. She watched from afar as the same Gryffindor chaser rammed right into Mike again. "What was that?!" she yelled, knowing that it was just part of the game, but she wasn't too fond of the idea of having her teammates knocked around like that. The next hit however was definitely Mike's fault. But he looked hurt and that wasn't good. "TIME OUT!" she yelled. Nessa wanted to fly over to see if he was OK, but she couldn't abandon her post. C'mon, blow the whistle! she pleaded.

She still clung tightly to the red ball in her arm, but she couldn't help but look back as the sound of a collision and Mike's plea for a timeout jostled her attention. Startled by a passing bludger and yanking her broom to the right, Abby yelped as the quaffle dropped from her arms and below her, picking up speed as it neared the ground.
Hopefully Matty and/or Mike were close enough where they could quickly make up for the second year's mistake and grab the quaffle before the Lions did. She, meanwhile, straightened her broom and made her best effort at a dive towards the plummeting ball. Her face looked strained and slightly embarrassed, but determination was evident as well.

Krissy had seen the collision but aited to hear what Mike said. Yup, by the sounds of it, he was hrut. "YO! RYDER!" She bellowed accross the field at the ref. "We need a timeout!" Wether he would hear her or not she didn't know. It was this momentary lack in concentration that let the bludger get past her to shoot at Abi. "Dammit" Krissy muttered under her breath as Abi dropped the quaffle because of the bludger. "Mike are you okay?" She called out to Mike. She stayed over the chaser's providing protection. No more bludgers would get past her until they got a time out. Not with an injured player.

Jynx seeing the two bludgers collide went after the one that Krissy had not gone after. Getting to before one of the Gryffindors did he drew his bat back and hit it in the direction of a red robe. He didn't see who it had gone after since his attention had fallen elsewhere. Jynx had glimpsed Krissy yelling over to the ref about something and was not paying attention to where the bludger had gone. Flying over to where Krissy was covering the chasers he yelled as loud as he could, "Hey, Ryder. Time out" He was a bit closer to the man and thought that he had to have heard him. Flying close to the chaser he was there to back Krissy up until they were able to get the time out and see how badly injured Mike really was. He didn't think that the keeper was in any danger of the bludgers since you couldn't hit one at the keeper unless the quaffle was in scoring postion and at the moment the quaffle was at the other end of the field.

Everything around her she had been wathcing out of the corner of her eye, and luckley Matty had kept her vision on the quaffle in Abgails hands. Then hearing her yelp, and drop the quaffle, she swooped under her and grabbed it. Just in the nick of time she thought. But upon hearing both Krissy, Jynx and Mike call timeout, she woundered whether she should keep playing untill thw whistle was sounded. Biting her lip she slowed down a bit not knowing what to do. Then looking to Krissy she said "Time out it is" and stopped her broom.
After all their team did call timeout, and the ref was supposed to stop the game.

Mike just sat there on his broom, all of a sudden a stray bludger came hurtling towards him, he attempted to turn so that it would miss him but unfortunatley for him it barreled into his dislocated shoulder.
He let out a howl of pain as the pain from the injury added to the bludger hitting it coursed through his body.

"Oh forget the damn posts!" Vanessa yelled, to no one in particular. Abandoning her post, and not really caring about it, Vanessa shot over to where Mike was. Coming up beside him, and pulled her broom up to stop. "Mike! Mike, are you OK?" she asked him, putting her hand on his back. One look at his shoulder and Nessa knew that couldn't be right. Should it be...attatched?

Tears streamed down the boy's face as Vanessa came up to him and put a supportive hand on his back. He shyed away slightly as he didn't want anyone to see him crying, but the pain was eccruciating and coursed through his whole body.
"Why did it happen to me Nessa......is it karma?"
He asked her in a soft voice, his body shaking

Nessa couldn't believe he was crying. She wasn't making fun of him or anything, in fact, she thought it was brave. "No," she answered firmly, "No, it's not that. It's our LACK OF BEATERS THAT DIDN'T GET THE BLUDGER AWAY!" She hollered it over her shoulder, hoping they would hear her. Where had the beaters been? That Bludger should have been stopped.
"OK, let's get you down," Nessa said softly, "C'mon, let's go." Vanessa held him upright and went towards the ground slowly, bringing him with her. As their feet touched the ground, Nes let her broom drop to the ground and she focused on helping Mike.

"Don't blame them...."
Mike said blinking away the tears from his eyes, he couldn't believe Nessa was helping him like this especially after what he had done to her in the last game....but he guessed that after the talk in the library that they had it had mended the break in their friendship.
"It was my fault....the bludger...well it could of happened to anyone right?"

"It wasn't anyone's fault," Vanessa said, in a rather hurried tone. Once on the ground, Nessa looked at Mike's shoulder. She could but it back in, but she doubted the Mike would let her. Not only that, but she'd probably get in trouble too. Looking it over again, she realized just how bad it was. The tears were still coming down, and Vanessa really wanted to help Mike. Why? She had no idea...
"Jesus, we need to get you to the Hospital Wing," Nessa announced. She touched his shoulder very, very lightly. He'd banged it up pretty good.

As Vanessa touched his shoulder, he winced rather dramatically....yes...it hurt that much that even the lightest touch sent a shockwave of pain through his whole body.
"Great....can't we just put it back in so I can keep playing?"
He asked her...and here came Mike's headstrong attitude once more....it only seemed to come out when he was playing Quidditch, in a way it was good but in this case it wasn't. He knew Krissy wouldn't let him back on even if they got it back in.

"Heh, ehhh....no," Nessa replied, "Not after just wincing like that when I barely touched you. I can put it back in, but I doubt you'd want me to." She couldn't even count the number of times she or her brother had dislocated their shoulder, and then just popped it back in themselves. With the year of Quidditch together, a popped shoulder was nothing new to either of them.
However, Nessa didn't know about Mike. She figured he could handle the few seconds of pain as the shoulder was being put back into place, but she didn't know if he'd allow her to be the one causing that pain. "I don't think you're gonna be playing anymore today," Nessa said quietly.

((The bludger was probably the one you launched at Keagan, who is right next to Mike, injured as well. I figured it would be assumed that if Keagan's momentum sent her flying several feet after impact, that Mike would, too. She did run into him, after all.
We should all wait for Ryder, anyway. Pretty much anything else is GMing.))
Keagan hung in the air after the collision, her left leg dangling uselessly off her broom; she had really banged up her thigh. Over the ruckus of the game, Keag could hear Dean's shouting and, recognizing the soccer lingo, she attempted a smile in his general direction, though he'd probably not catch it. Sighing, she dropped her broom to a lower altitude, staying astride still several feet above the ground but out of the firing path of anymore bludgers, such as the one that had hit Mike. She wished to avoid the ground and potential walking until she couldn't avoid it anymore.
The game had come to a standstill following the crash, unlike the Slytherin game last term. Keag grimaced at the memory, remembering how she had continued playing despite a similar situation. 'Twas tough stuff, this Quidditch thing.

Deryn was just flying around, trying to stay in the game and not just go on a rampage. She turned around just in time to see the collision between Keagan and that Hufflepuff chaser. While she was glad that he got hurt, it looked as if Keag was hurt too. "Keag!" Deryn yelled, zooming over to her teammate, "You OK?"
Whipping around, Deryn heard a crack and saw a Bludger bang right into the Huffle's shoulder. Deryn nearly laughed right out loud, but held it in as a common courtesy. Turning her attention back to Keagan, Deryn wondered when the time-out was going to be called. "Are you OK?" she asked again.
