And yet he was ignored, not be the students, oh no he saw they looks they gave him. Varying degrees of brief nervousness and pure hatred. But the Porfessor, a one Trevor Stern if he recalled his dossiers right had completely ignored his presence as though he wasn't there. If he couldn't even notice people when they knocked at his doors it left him most curious as to how the man even knew if he had late students.
Thus Armando knocked again, a tad louder than before which was very difficult to accomplish seeing as he'd knocked fairly loud the first time. "Mr. Stern?" Armando questioned, regarding the man now with a raised eyebrow. If he didn't answer him this time he'd seen enough. Or, enough for a paragraph in a report. The positive was the students didn't seem to phased out by his presence. He'd seen worse in the halls.

Talia looked over at the man in the doorway, but decided to answer the question anyways... "Benjamin Franklin was noted for more than 3 things, his curiosity, writings, ingenuity and diversity of interests." Talia said, having just read it on the board, and had written it down in her notes. She smiled, and gave the guest at the door another quick glance and then returned her eyes to the Professor, wondering if she had gotten it right after all... she also felt someone else's eyes on her... that was promising.

He heard the second knock and he sighed then looked at the man in the doorway. "Yes?" he asked. But he then recongize him as he was one of the Ministry workers for Hogwarts. "Oh yes, come in," he said to the Ministry man. He smiled, he didn't really mind the Ministry examining Hogwarts. But he saw some of the students giving looks to the Ministry man.
He then turned back to the class. "Why yes, that's correct, Miss Saphire. 10 points to Hufflepuff," he said. Now to begin the third plan of the curriculum. "Okay, we'll begin of his early life. If you have questions at the end of this part of the lecture, please do so," he stated. He was going to show them something special probably at the end of the class, but that depends on how they act.
"Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a tallow-maker. His father, Josiah Franklin, was a tallow chandler, a maker of candles and soap, whose second wife, Abiah Folger, was Benjamin's mother. Josiah's marriages produced 17 children; Benjamin was the fifteenth child and youngest son. He attended Boston Latin School but did not graduate. ," he said in a clear voice.
"Josiah wanted Ben to attend school with the clergy, but only had enough money to send him to school for two years. Ben didn't graduate but continued his education through voracious reading. His schooling ended when he was ten; he then worked for his father for a time and at 12 he became an apprentice to his brother James, a printer," he told them.
"Now is there any questions?" he asked the class.

"Quite." Armando muttered to himself. He wondered what the man would have said if he hadn't bore the Ministry seal on his robes, 'come right in your no threat!'. Psh, the man was clearly a rather pathetic excuse for a Professor and Armando actually found himself knowing he had given Professor Binns more respect than he would ever give this man in a learning enviornment.
After listening to the man lecture for what seemed more like a History class than a study of muggle 'artifacts and lifestyles' the man asked if there were any questions. And being Armando, he didn't bother to raise his hand.
"I have one, sir. What does talking about this man's school life and what he did or didn't do have to do with the study of electricity, which happens to be the main power source to almost all muggle items and artifacts?" Armando had figured out quite easily what the topic was by looking oonly briefly at the board. Both his OWL and NEWT scores for this course were Outstandings. It was the main reason he picked this class to sit in on. He knew the curriculum.
He also had a copy of the school roster, which made him wonder why he was fititng three largely filled years of students into one class instead of giving them each a separte and effeciently leveled curriculum.

He found this Benjamin Franklin dude quite suprising but hearing a long lecture of it seemed like something of history. But talking with Trevor Stern over the summer in a letter told Tristan they we're going to learn of his early life then practice some electricty. Upon hearing was their any questions, he heard a voice and turned around and saw the Ministry man asking a question.
Once he heard the question, Tristan glared at the Ministry dude. "Because that's what we do," he said to the him with a deep voice. Tristan didn't want to be rude or anything but everyone (atleast) got a head-start up last year of what would be up for this year and for the fact he was starting to dislike the Ministry now. During the summer, one of the Aurors told him he might be a good Auror, but not for long if this what the Ministry is like.

Talia smiled, glad she got it right. She wondered what was up with this person that was sitting in on the class. He was being very rude for no reason. She didn't want to just jump into the artifacts without knowing what they were all about first, and maybe knowing who invented them, and how they worked. She wrote down some of what the Professor said, and and decided he could handle the guest himself, but he had to agree with the older boy who spoke up.

Evangeline was eyeing the man in the class room. Don't be rude, don't be rude. But she couldn't help butting in. Besides, the Gryffindor boy already had and he had been rather rude, so Eva promised herself to remain on a professional level.
"If you don't mind Professor," Eva started, looking at the other man. "We learn about the man - Benjamin Franklin's - life and schooling, sir, because it gives us reason to question what he did later in life. Perhaps something in the past of his personal life can lead us to believe what he was thinking. People want to know about a person from the inside and outside, especially famous people. They want to know what their intent was, what they were thinking. Learning about their history helps lead us on a path into their mind, their goals, and who they were. Investigation and knowing your subject of topic tells you what you want to know and may not want or need to know. Other is for pure interesting knowledge or fact pack rats." Evangeline answered the man's question in her own opinion. She had not one ounce of rudeness in her voice. In fact, she spoke in a rather respectful tone. The man was a Ministry worker, therefor, higher in authority.

He was quite impressed that Tristan and Evangeline stuck up for him. But he couldn't let his nonsense get more out of hand or the Ministry will get on this class. "That'll be enough, Tristan and Evangeline," he said to him sighing. He would thank them later but now was not the time. Since the Ministry worker wanted to them to do more than just learn the history.

He grinned and laughed when Eva was telling to the Ministry man. He hoped that actually drove the Ministry man off. He didn't care if he told the Minister of Magic of what happened in this class, he would of found it amusing. "Okay, go on professor," he said to him still laughing. He then put his hand covering his eyes. 5 seconds later he put it down still grinning.

Dean had been jotting a few names and notes down as he listened to Professor Stern. His eyes wandered to the man who spoke afterwards.
Dean looked crossly at the Ministry man, he still didn't even know why these.. idiots were there. Being new he hadn't heard, or even known about Professor Thorne's murder. He did however, smirk slightly as two other students stood up for their Professor. For some reason his thoughts went to Natalie. There was a whole room full of people, learning and taking the Muggle Studies course. He would have to tell her the next time he met up with her...

"Indeed..." It seemed his little ploy had worked rather nicely. The students seemed to feel the manw as competent, and backed themselves up with detail. It didn't surprise him much really, but it was enough for him to say the man could remain on staff in his report, for the students knew their teachers better than he could ever do so spare two of them.
"Please, continue Mr. Stern my apologies." Armando conceded politely, is eyes flicking to each of the students in turn, though lingering on the one Gryffindor boy who'd shot the rude remark at him. He had spunk, spunk that was liable to get him hurt if he wasn't careful with what he said. All Armando wanted to do was wait out this man's lesson so he could get on back to doing something he wanted to do.
Sleep.
However, his eyes hadn't remained on the boy long. Merely long enough to remember a face, and if he could get a name as well it would be most helpful. But that could come later, much later.

Nic just watched the class. He was quite terrified of the ministry worker and he knew being of the slytheirn house was not an asset. Instead he took notes and kept his head down hoping not to gain attention and to try to learn what little he needed to learn to pass the class. Though him being muggle born it wasn't too much.

((Sorry it took me so long to post. I didn't get my class list until yesterday))
Vanessa sat in the back of the room, writing down notes that were barely legible. She already knew all of this stuff, and she was nearly falling asleep. Her eyes kept glancing up at Dean, but she forced them back down and forced her ears to listen to what was being said.
Nessa leaned back and sighed. She was tired, and she didn't want to listen anymore. She put her head down on the desk and felt her eyes starting to close. She yawned and forced her eyes back open. "Kill me now," she muttered to herself, letting her eyes close again.

"It's okay," he said to the ministry man. "Anyways, you know much about that far. Today you'll learn of how to generate electricity," he said to them. He forgot to tell the certain students who had covered item on thier desk to take it off. But he did it with his wand and if the students was it was, it was a electricity generater. "Now I want you to learn this," he said clearly.
"You pick a partner. One of you pick up a light bulb. A light bulb is that little ball you see with wires in it. Benjamin didn't invent those, instead a man named Thomas Edison made the first. But anyways one of you pick up the light bulb. The other take the big two wires and connect it in the generator then try to put the wires attached to the light bulb," he said to them. He hoped this wasn't hard.
"Don't tape it or nothing to the light bulb. Just rub the wires agaisnt the light bulb. Then light should come on. It'll take a few trys because it's doesn't always work the first, second, and third time. I'll tell you what. First team that gets it first will recieve 5 points each to their houses. Now find a partner and get to it," he said to them. Of course if there wasn't enough people for a partner, maybe he could work with them.

Talia jumped a little as generators popped up in certain places, including her desk. She was wondering who'd she be partners with, and realized how much she wished Jack was in this class too... he was in every other one of her classes, too bad not this one aswell. She perked up at the mention of house points, but still didn't know who she'd work with, or who'd want to work with her. She held the "light bulb" and thought it very strange... She had yet to understand these things...
