"What was she like professor?" Lily asked. "I mean I've read books and all, but do you know anymore about her than I do? I'd love to learn about her. I'd love to learn anything about the history of Ravenclaw really. It's like a part of my blood now, that house is. It's like my home it is."

"I wouldn't know what she was like Miss Tasando, not personally, I only know what the books tell me. And if I read the books right, she was the founder with the most sense. The one who put most of the wards for the school up." Robert claimed with a small chuckle.
"Also the one who put Ol' Stone face there at your...our common room entrance." He added.

"But why'd she choose him for Ravenclaw?" Lily asked. "What's so special about him apart from the fact he could take your head off? I mean, sure he's slightly interesting, but not too much when you really think about it. He's just a grumpy old stone who should have been left immobile."

"I cannot say as I have yet to figure that out. I would have thought that Dumbledore would have replaced that man years ago." He paused, his own words another cruel and emotional low blow to him. Unintentional of course, but enough of one to have an effect.
"The most powerful wizard in Britain, killed by a traitor's wand..." He trailed off to regain control before it got too out of hand.

"I've heard about him," Lily said. "I wish I would have known him. He sounded like a great man. Where you around when he was alive? Could you tell him about me? I wish sometimes that he was here. He sounded like he would have been a wonderful headmaster. It's sad how he was killed."

The girl's voice just went on and on through his head, question and statement one after the other. Most true, but that didn't make the task of explaining any easier. After all, who could really explain Dumbledore?
Robert sighed and gave a nod. "Dumbledore was the Headmaster here for a good 75 years minimum, I don't right know how long he actually was Headmaster, but its rightfully assumed he had his ten-year. Knew how to take a good joke too, half the reason 6 of us Eagles weren't expelled was because of him, myself included, as well as another you know." Robert claimed with a small chuckle.
He didn't know what Tamis had told them of her past, if anything, and he refused to divulge what she had kept secret.

"Who?" Lily asked. "Who else here is an eagle that would even come close to being expelled? All the professors, they're all so calm and rational, they get us into trouble. Well not me, I haven't been into any trouble, it's the others who have. I've got a perfectly clean slate here, so far anyways."

"If you do not know, then I shan't divulge. You'll find out in time." Robert said before going back to the original topic of discussion.
"Still remember the time we used dungbombs on Filch's office...and every other office on the second and third floors, perfectly timed...perfectly executed, except the evidence was all over us. Dumbledore kept us in, no Hogsmeade visits for two months...but we could deal with that. We were Eagle's after all." Robert said with a chuckle.
"A clean slate you say, an excellent thing to have. Especially in your final year. Never really got the chance to get one of those, I was a goblin from the beginning. Dabbage, McCreary, myself, Aldridge, Yorklin, Ra-, we just never really bothered to keep a clean slate, neither, did the Weasley twins."

"It's not my final year though," Lily said. "And I want to make mischeif. And if you don't mind me saying sir, I mean no disrespect honestly, but dungbombs are so old. I mean, half the wizard-borns here probably worked with dungbombs when they were 5. That's the best you could come up with? Heck, I hope you never meet Drew and Hiro because you couldn't take them."

"Surely you must take into account the time in which we...'worked'. Dark times. we made what fun we could in the midst of chaos. Mostly just to keep the mood lightened, more for our own amusement, but it did help. Now, of that group I mentioned, Aldridge is dead, Yorklin, dead, Dabbage, missing, and McCreary's somewhere in Russia. There wasn't much left for me to return to, so, I came back to the place I used to know. If you can understand my logic." The man said continuing on about the room.

"Kind of," Lily said. "I mean I ran away once and I went back to Germany. It was where I knew even though I hated it there. I'd always come back here though. It's become my home. And I think it was and is and will continue to be the home for many. It's just great here and I wouldn't leave it unless I had to."

"Actually, thats a completely different scale. To leave and go home is far more common than to graduate and come back. I graduated Hogwarts in '92, studied abroad to avoid the war, came back and found shambles of my life intact, and decided I had to rebuild somewhere." He paused hoping the girl would understand but really doubted it possible.
"Hogwarts was the only place I had left that had a firm foundation, solid walls, and unintentional old friends." Robert finished, leaving assumptions open to question once more.

"Who were you friends with?" Lily asked. "And I know there's something about one of the professors you're not telling me and I intend to find out. I will you know. I wasn't put in Ravenclaw for no reason. So you may as well fess up lest I find out myself. I'm capable you know. I could put together a whole investigative team."

"So do so my friend, prove to me the Eagles wings still soar within these walls." Robert challanged, a small amile playing at the corners. He paused agin, this time at a hand made award, direct from the Weasley's themselves, all six names were mentioned, but it like the rest of the older certificates, had faded greatly.
Still, the fact that it was still here, and that Filch hadn't burned it, said something.

"You need proof of that?" Lily asked incredously. "Have you not heard of the things that the house has done? Why I believe this may be one of the first years that we haven't been under house arrest - well at least not yet we aren't. We have this long list of rules posted in the common room, all of which have been attempted."
