Deaf produced his wand at the same time as Brenton did, of course Brenton's was probably the more visible choice because Deaf has slid his wand out of his sleeve and into his hand and the only movement to indicate that he had taken out his wand was as he spun it around so the handle faced out. His wand was only 10 1/4 inches but springy and swishy and with a phoenix wind feather core.
He cast an amused and wondering glance at his fellow first year and explained, “To repair it of course! She,” He waved towards Jax (yes, he speaks with his hands) “must have left hers somewhere or she doesn’t see that she, being an older year, is the obvious choice to fix it.”

"I didn't plan on being out of the Ravenclaw dorm for too long, I have to get ready for a da...er...I mean an appointment tonight," Jax said correcting herself from what she was about to say. Her own secret was starting to slip out with how comfortable she was becoming with the idea that Snake would be right beside her during the duration of it's outing...that didn't mean though, that she wanted the whole world to know. She looked directly at both of the boys and smiled brightly, her brilliant blue eyes sparkling.
"We need to fix this before any of the prof's come in and see what's happened...I'll get in trouble for sure," Jax said, knowing full well that the oldest always got in more trouble. Somehow, adults always seemed to think that the eldest should know better. What was that crap? She held out her hand not really caring what boy gave her their wand, she just needed to fix it. "That is unless one of you's want to do it?" Jax was not one to care who did a job, as long as it got done...though, she wasn't too sure she wanted the newest boy who entered to do it...especially since he didn't even know what she was getting at when asking for the wand to begin with.

"I'll try," Deaf offered and went over and held the handle into place with one hand and with a practiced flourish of his other he recited, "Reparo!" The handle reattached itself but the dent was still there. He frowned a bit and tried again, but the dent stayed. He hated being only a first year, but instead of brooding he shrugged and turned to Jax and offered his wand with a grin. "If you would be so kind..." Although Deaf hated to willingly give up his wand for fear of it being broken or stolen he trusted Jax simply because she was in his house and she didn’t seem like the type who would do damage to it just for fun.

Jax took the wand gently and breathed out a breath of anticipation. She was usually pretty good with her wand work so that wasn't what worried her, it was the fact that it wasn't her wand that made her worry. Jax had heard some pretty nasty horror stories of back firing wands because someone used a wand that wasn't their own, but Jax just hoped that that wouldn't be the case in this scenerio. Not to mention, all she needed to do was ruin someone else's wand when she could have just easily run up to the Ravenclaw house and gotten her own.
"Here goes nothing," she said mostly for herself. "Reparo!" she exlaimed as a burst of untamed energy released from the wand at an unnormal pace. It went so fast against the trophy that it fixed not only the dent but ever little scratch that the trophy it had seen. When the light from the spell had cleared the room, Jax sighed. All seemed to be in order as she checked over the trophy. "Well, looks like everything's alright..." Jax said, only looking at the trophy she was supposed to fix.

Deaf grinned and quickly walked up to her and snatched his wand back. He was very proud that his wand was so powerful and gave it a quick twirl before placing it back up his sleeve. A powerful wand for a powerful wizard,He thought and smiled inwardly. He too walked around the trophy to make sure that it was repaired, it looked repaired and polished. He glanced at Jax and said, impressed with her as well, “Good job, I see why they put you in our house.” He glanced over at his fellow first year but he was being quiet so he paid him no attention.

Well, of course to fix it. Like Brent didn't know that! Ha! He knew exactly why they needed a wand, well, he did after the one boy said something. He just... forgot. He wasn't good with spells anyway, at least not very good. At least he always managed to get it to work close to what it was supposed to be. But it thought it was strange the the girl/boy didn't have its wand on it. Even Brenton didn't walk around without his. It was just felt safer to have it. Besides, it was fun sometimes.
His big amber eyes grew to three times their normal size when the it said they could get in trouble. That wasn't good! He couldn't afford to get in trouble, if he got in trouble everything could all be in ruins! Nope, not a good thing. He was more than willing to offer his wand over to either one of them just so they didn't get in trouble.
Getting ready to hand the butt of the wand over to the boy/girl, the boy he could tell was a boy offered up to help. Brent watched while it all happened, it was actually a cool spell! That could come in handy, he'd have to learn that one. Especially if him, Hannah, and big-eared boy did that volcano he and big-ear boy were going to do.
Then when the boy/girl did a spell, that made Brent really excited. It was so powerful. The light was blinding. Whatever the person was, it was awesome with wands! Brent had heard that another wand didn't work too well for a wizard when it wasn't his, but that was so cool!
"Whoa" was all Brent said as he watched the two investigate the trophy. That was pretty cool. But only a moment later, his mouth hung open and not in a good way.
His eyes? Yea, they were about six times their normal size as his mouth hung far open, and his arm shakily lifted to point at the mess only a little far away from the trophy that was being fixed. It was CRACKED! Right down it, from top to bottom and looked like it was trying to fall apart as it leaned against the glass barely keeping it together from its own crack around on another side.

Deaf laughed, his wand was powerful indeed and the situation was sort of ironic. To fix one trophy and break another one so it was in worse state than the original. He walked over and ran his hand along one side of the crack. He looked over his shoulder and grinned, “Well, we could run.” He laughed and turned back to the trophy. He had made stranger things happen than a trophy repair itself and had done those without a wand or even knowledge he was a wizard. He ran his hand down the other side of the crack as he waited to see if the others would bolt.

"Run from what? Only people afraid of getting into trouble run..." Jax puffed up her chest as she stood where she had last been and rolled her eyes. "You guys aren't scared are you?" she teased and went to look more closely at the crack, or rather the two cracks. One in the trophy inside the glass case, and the other in the glass itself. Now how in bloody hell had Jax managed that one, she'd probably never know but she shook her head. "Darn...and to think, I knew what I was doing this time..." she said to herself trailing off.
The trophy was knocked, tilting against a side of the glass that wasn't cracked and Jax felt that that was probably the only reason why nothing had hit the floor yet and smashed into another million pieces. Maybe using someone else's wand wasn't such a smart idea. Jax sighed. "But the real question is now," she looked at her companions, "do we try to fix them, or do we just let it go?" Running wasn't what she wanted to do...but she didn't mind leaving the mess for someone else to clean up either.
