Tianne gave a light laugh at her mention of the teacher Atwood, not realising that she had used the language so stereotypically placed into being in the teenager vocabulary. She didn't usually use such cliched statements, but then again, she didn't usually have such depth in a conversation either. Tianne knew that she had to get back to her professor on the subject of an apprenticeship' she was pretty keen on the idea. Her parents approved, and she herself liked it. Even if she did it, she could still change her mind about her future profession anyways. Nodding, as the boy told her his own preference, Tianne agreed. She wasn't saying that he was her own, but Griffiths was one of her favorite all round professors.
Smiling, as thoughts about everything, including the Head Boy and Girl candidates, the Deva, Voldemort, and Professors, she really wasn't that comfortable. She couldn't relax, the thoughts were pounding into her head. Looking up when Connor asked her who her favourite professor was, Tianne tilted her head on the side, attempting to make room in her head for thinking. After pausing for what was only a second or so, Tianne knew her answer. It would seem slightly compliuacated, maybe, but Tianne knew what she was going to say. "It's going to sound like I'm hitting an unfair shot, but I kinda like Professor Kinsley. She'd the Head of House, I know, but she's cool. Other than that, I like our charms Professor, and well, Griffiths."
Pausing to hear the next question from the boy, Tianne smiled. "I think that's up to you to decide, if you think you haveto remember because of society, then its not worth it. If you want to remember it for your own personal sake, then you have to, but if you are being forced to, then you should try your hardest not to."

Connor took the few seconds of silence to think about all of their Professors in general, and how some would disappear for a small time and then come back. But there were others who hadn't come back at all, Professors that he had grown used to having around the school. He ran through a short list of Professors whose disappearance hadn't gone unnoticed by the Slytherin. There was Professor Morey Jules, whom Connor had never really encountered because he hadn't taken Divination, but he found the man quirky and interesting all the same. There was Atwood himself, who despite his ' interesting ' teaching methods, had always been a good professor to have around. And also Professor Fauna Hectis, formerly the Deputy Headmistress as well as the Herbology Professor. She was the grandmotherly type, and Connor had always liked the woman. " I wonder where all the Professors go when they leave.. " He perused aloud, turned his head to look back at Tianne.
Wherever they went, Connor was curious to know if they ever thought of Hogwarts and the students they had since left behind. He also wondered if they continued teaching, perhaps at some other location. Thoughts swarmed around the sixth year's mind, thoughts of loyalty and teachers, complications and simple things. He was glad when the girl started talking again, it gave his mind a second or two's worth rest. " I don't really know Kinsley that well. Professor Snow? I sort of don't like his teaching methods. " He shrugged, and, feeling like like he had somewhat put down her favorite professors, he nodded his head slightly as he went on. " But I do rather like Griffiths. When we still had Defense, Raynor was my favorite teacher. "
Connor stared hard at the ground for a few seconds, letting what she had said sink in. " I... am on brain overload right now. " He groaned slightly with a good natured laugh as he looked back up to meet the small Ravenclaw girl's gaze.

Even after she had replied to the boy, she kept thinking about his question. Who was her favourite professor? She wasn't exactly happy with her decision, as she hadn't had much social contact with anyone other than professor Griffiths, or Xander, as he liked to be called, and Professor Kinsley, as she liked to pop into the common every now and again. But Professor Snow was always nice to her, and for a girl that was easily intimidated, that was a big yes. She didn't know anyone else really, Tianne didn't really talk to anyone else.
"Oh, and I like Professor Tapia, the Potions Professor, she's always nice." Tianne said, basically saying it word for word what had popped into her mind. Tianne couldn't believe that she had forgotten her Potions professor, considering that was tied for her favorite subject. Smiling, as she remembered what the boy had said, contradicting the girl, she didn't really care. She wasn't too sure about her decisions either, and Connor at least made a good point. Tianne knew that the professor's she'd chosen couldn't be liked by everyone, but the ravenclaw couldn't help but feel validated when Connor agreed with her on their History of Magic teacher.
Tianne grinned, feeling that her comment on being forced to remember or forget made no sense. She wasn't quite sure if what she was saying had sunken in to both herself and the boy, but it was good enough. Her brain hadn't had to work like that when there was no classes in ages, and Tianne was glad that she had had that opportunity. Lightly chuckling when the boy announced his 'brain overload', Tianne folded her arms and sighed. "You got that right."

Professor Davenport, that was another Professor that Connor rather liked. He was currently enrolled in both of the woman’s classes, arithmancy as well as care of magical creatures. He thought over a few other professors that he enjoyed as well. While Connor didn’t take the woman’s class, he had taken to Professor van Aller, as she was his Head of House after all. He knew of some Slytherins who didn’t like the woman too much, but he had no issues with her and found her to be a rather suitable Head of House, regardless of what subject she happened to teach.
He nodded his head, agreeing with the fifth year that Professor Tapia was rather nice. “ Yeah, she is. It’s a good class, as well… I like Professors Davenport and van Aller. “ He mentioned of his earlier thoughts before asking, “ Are you in arithmancy? “ He wasn’t really sure, as he hadn’t ever talked to Tianne before now, let alone about what electives she chose to take. For all he knew, the girl hated working with numbers. It didn’t seem likely, because the girl appeared to be smart, but there were different variations of intelligent and Connor acknowledged that.
Connor shook his head, really feeling a ‘ brain overload. ‘ He grinned, though, clearly not upset about it. “ I don’t think I’ve had an in-depth conversation like that in quite some time… “ He admitted to her with a soft laugh. “ So I should probably thank you for it. “

Even though she may have seemed set on her decision on who her favorite professor was, Tianne was now confused. She really didn't think of her professors as her favorites, and she hadn't really thought into it at all. There were quite a few professors that Tianne liked, there was only a selected few that she found even slightly annoying. She didn't want to favor people, no matter who they were. Maybe she should just stick to the age old stereotype, and favor her head of house.
Nodding when Connor named the arithmancy and care of magical creatures professor and the professor that taught Muggle Studies, Tianne nodded again, knowing that they were both good teachers. When asked if she had studied arithmancy, Tianne shook her head dismissively, though she was happy to finally have a question that she could confidently answer. "I used to be, but my mother made me change mine to ancient runes. Her mothers career had something to do with that, or something. There was a reason, but I can't remember it. I was actually thinking of switching back." Tianne shrugged, knowing that she probably couldn't switch this close to her OWLs.
Laughing lightly as the boy 'thanked' her for the depth of the conversation, Tianne shook her head. "Ah, I think it should be me thanking you. I haven't really had a conversation in a while." Tianne laughed it off, knowing that it was partly her fault for that.
