He closed his eyes just for a moment as he enjoyed the warm tickle of her breath in his ear, her soft kiss on his cheek. They were going to focus on strengthening their friendship. He knew that hadn't changed, agreed that it was important, and figured it was something he could definitely work with.
Didn't mean he wasn't going to fantisize a little though...
He nodded again, this time with an embarassed upturn of his mouth. "I think I'm kind of hungry now," he told her. All that emotion was draining.

With her own smile, soft and careful, she finally lifted her gaze to match his. Another start, hopefully a better one that they'd just had. It wouldn't be good if they didn't get moving on something, get past a start before having more troubles. No, working on their friendship was important, and having a start was extremely important.
"All right," she told him, crawling onto his blanket and making sure her shoes didn't touch. Reaching across on all fours, Felicity pulled the basket closer to where they were before grabbing her plate and pulling it close. The food was still sitting on it, and she doubted it wouldn't taste good. Besides, Drew had said something about roasted apples, the Gryffindor could look forward to that if what she threw together wasn't any good.

It was nice having her sitting so close to him and he pretended not to watch her as she reached to grab the basket. When she settled herself again, he grabbed his own plate and considered at the lonely sandwich that sat on top of it, with only a few celery sticks to keep it company. It still looked delicious, but he was pretty sure she had packed more.
"So... what else is in that basket of yours again?" he asked, trying to peek, but not sure if he was allowed to dig around and check for himself.

Picking up a celery stick from her plate, she snapped a piece off before popping it into her mouth, liking the sharp sound it made. Chewing faster in order not to talk with her mouth full, as she didn't care to do that, she had to take a minute before answering Drew, with a smile and doing her best not to choke at the same time.
"Potatoes, milk and cookies," she answered. A little shabby, but at least filling enough and since Drew had the apples, they could eat those too, if they wanted to. "And I've got stuff for the potatoes," she told him. "Ummm..." digging through the basket, she produced two little containers, one of butter and the other of sour cream. Pushing the basket toward him, she didn't mind if he dug through. After all, it was his dinner in there as well, and it wasn't as if she'd ever stopped him from going through it before.

"Yeah?" Drew perked up at the mention of potatoes with toppings. He wasn't about to bypass the cookies either. And while milk wasn't ususally his drink of choice, he thought he could really go for a glass after the day they had just gone through. Besides, his mom kept telling him he still needed to drink the stuff.
"Do we have cups?" he asked, pulling a potato out of the basket and placing it on his plate before deciding to grab a cookie while he was there. He also answered his own cup question and raised it up triumphantly.

Milk was one of Felicity's favourite beverages, and she thought it went well with what was created for their dinner. Actually, she thought milk went well with most things. "Yes," she answered when he started digging through her basket. A small smile and a giggle was her applause to his silliness of pulling out a cup the way he did. Silly, like normal.
While he was busy, she again spread out on all fours and grabbed the cup she'd pulled out for herself, and handed it over to him to fill. Her sandwich and celery was enough at the moment for her, and with an apple later, she'd be set for the night. Probably she'd take a potato in a bit, but for the moment, she was fine.

He loved hearing her giggle and it made him break into a wide smile. He knew that this was who they really were, not those people who had been so frustrated and angry earlier. He knew that there were still things that needed to be worked through, but he still didn't understand why they couldn't work through it together. He was still convinced that most of the fighting they had all been doing over the past month and a half was Deva related, and any sort of break up felt like letting the Deva win. No matter. He was going to work it out her way.
He took her cup without question, filled it before his own, and passed it back to her before serving himself and placing the cup by his plate. It was the sandwich he was most interested in at the moment and he bit into it hungrilly, thinking that it was exactly what he needed to have at that moment. There was still a lot on his mind and he chewed thoughtfully, doubting that this was the best time to bring any of his questions up.
