Carter did as the professor said about sitting on the desk. He sat tenderly on the desk blinking sleep from his eyes. When professor Kiryakov said her bit and tossed Custard, Carter caught him one handed. "Well, uhh, I'm Carter Bristow, second year, Ravenclaw." Carter cast around his his head for any bit of information he knew about astronomy, and at the moment only one came to mind.
"Saturn has seven rings," and with that said he tossed the puffskein to someone else. He was slowly waking up, but only slowly. He thought it was the new sitting position.

Though it seemed she wasn't there at all, Harmony had made it into the classroom before the teacher had charmed the door shut. However, at this time of night- morning rather, she wasn't up to her usual socializing self, and had stayed perfectly silent. This was not about to last long though, as Professor Kiryakov began the lesson, and the young girl jumped onto her desk, waiting for her turn. What she hadn't expected though, was for the puffskein to be tossed towards her so soon.
Reaching up, and gently catching the creature with both hands, Harmony paused before answering. "Harmony Evans, second year, Gryffindor." She paused again, straining her mind to think. "Neptune is sometimes the farthest planet from the sun in our solar system." She gently threw the puffskein back into the air for someone else to catch. It really was far too late for a class...

Niyah held out her hands and caught the puffskein after sitting down on her desk. "Niyah Patricks is my name, first year, Hufflepuff and proud of it!" She paused a moment as a looked of contemplation crossed her face. Then her face lit up with energy as she thought of something.
"Venus and Mercury are the only two planets in this solar system to have no moons orbiting them." A look of satisfaction came over her face, as she tossed the cute little puffskein into the air and to the next person.

Mark nearly dropped the poor Custard to the floor when Miss. Patricks threw the puffskein to him. He had never played catch before, and this was proving it. Holding upon the puffskein for dear life (nearly suffocating the poor creature) he chirped, "Mark D'Angelo. First year, Hufflepuff. Erm...." Mark tried to recall something from the book that he was currently reading. "Comets are dark, solid bodies a few kilometers across that orbit the Sun in abnormal paths." He said promptely before not throwing the puffskein, but taking a pleasant note and passing it to the person next to him.

Theodora took the thing hesitantly, still finishing mouthing what everyone was saying. "I'm Theodora Jenkins," she said quietly. "Second year Gyffindor. Umm . . ." She bit her lip. She didn't know much about space, but Aaron must have taught her something. "Mars is just a bunch of gases. I think." She wasn't to sure about her answer, but she threw the thing and then she pulled out her hand sanatizer and quickly got rid of any germs from the animal.

Koren fumbled with the puffskein for a little while, before getting a good grip on it. Ahhhhhh! It's so cute! I wonder if daddy will buy me one..... "My name is Koren Hurst, and I'm a first year, and I belong to Slytherin. I happen to know that Mars has seasons like Earth, because it's on a tilt like Earth is." All the while Koren was petting the cute little puffskein with her finger. When she was done she tossed the puffskein to the person across from her. I'm definantly going to have daddy get me one of those .
She clasped her her hands together between her knees, and waited for the next person the go. She just hoped she could remember all their names when this was over.

Taryn couldn't help but give a successful grin when she snatched the Puffskein cleanly out of the air with quite a bit of skill. She was quite sure that she had been more coordinated than some of the other students, which was something of a surprise. "Taryn Brantley, first-year Ravenclaw," she responded, but not entirely sure of a fact to give. A lot of the good ones had been taken already.
"I know that the names of the planets are the names for the Roman gods and goddesses, not the Greek ones," she added with another triumphant smile. With that, she gave the very adorable Custard an underhanded toss towards another person.

Samuel didn't rather like Astronomy, or what they were doing. But, good thing was that they weren't doing Astronomy. Actually, they were throwing a puffskein around to tell each others name. As he saw that one by one the puffskein was going around, and people were saying their names and a fact, so he thought of one.
He had one, and then Taryn got it, then threw it to him and he caught it, "Erm, Samuel Howard, Ravenclaw, First Year," he said to them and then got his idea, "Haleys Comet comes every 70-75 years," he said and threw the puffskein to the next person. He was wondering if it was 72, but then just got back to the game.

So many names to remember... Well, she could do it. It might take more than this first lesson to learn them all, but if the other professors could do it, then so could she. She smiled at many of the facts, which were not only accurate, but quite advanced. They ranged from actual Astronomy to facts focused more on mythology, but they were all fairly correct. Except for that bit about Mars. And from a second year, too!
Custard was coming in her direction, so Elisaveta reached out and caught him, giving the Puffskein a small amount of time to rest. "Many of Jupiter's moons are named after his mistresses," she volunteered, stroking Custard's head. "It's fine to catch it twice, if he comes your way." With that, she tossed the puffksein back towards the students.

Custard came whizzing not entirely in her way, but Carina stepped in front of the person next to her (who quite conviently already called his name) to catch the cute little thing. Smirking down at the creature she chirped, "My name's Carina Maylock...Don't wear it out. Gryffindor, 1st Year... and erm..." Carina sucked royaly in Astronomy, so she stated to obvious, "Well... I suppose astronomy takes place in the sky....Specifically the night..." Slightly embarassed, she gave final pat to Custard as a send off and passed him across the room impishly.

"Thank you, Miss Maylock," Elisaveta said with a grin as she caught the Puffskein, quite effectively controlling the chuckle that had been building up inside of her. She certainly had a ways to go with some of the first years, but they all had to start somewhere. At least many of the second-years seemed to know what they were doing, and none of the students had been so afraid that they hadn't spoken up. No one had killed the poor Puffskein, either, which was what her largest fear had been with Custard.
Elisaveta glanced at the clock, then again to ensure that she had read the time correctly. It was a few minutes before the end of class, but they had all been so cooperative that it was a shame to not let them out a little bit early. "Well, thank you all so much. Class dismissed."
