After taking a quick look at the page, she began to play. 'LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL'... She was amazed at her own abilty to pick all of this up so quickly. 'LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL, LLR, RRL'...

Dezi's playing looked and sounded good, so Charon stopped watching and headed to the back of the room. As he had thought he'd seen, there were copies of Alfred's Drum Method back there among the other books. he picked up a copy and walked back to Dezi.
"All right. That's good. I want you to take this and work on as much as you can, from what I've taught you. I'll let you know when the next lesson will be," he said. He wandered over to the drum set and started jamming. He had nothing in mind when he started palying, and soon settled into basic beats.

Dezi stopped playing when he spoke and took the book when he gave it to her. After watching him for a few minutes, she asked him, "Are you, like, in a band or somthing?" She was curious because how else would he know all of this, and be able to teach it to her?

Charon kept going, it was a simple beat that he didn't need to concentrate on. He replied, "Nope. No band. Just self-taught, and practiced a lot." he switched it up and started a jazz beat. This was something he really liked doing, and he started playing a few fills as well. Why bother just keeping time when you're the only one laying?

Dezi watched him for a moment longer, then said, "Well, see yah. Dinner's probably almost over by now and I'm starving." She headed twards the door. She opened it, peaked out into the hall, then vanished from sight.

Charon kept playing for a few more minutes. It felt good to actually play a real drum set instead of having to make do on random stuff lying around. His urge to drum satisfied, he left the room and headed towards the great hall. With any luck, there'd be some food left.
