She was frustrated with him, there was nothing more to it. Her emotions were like a roller-coaster that day, and it bothered her. She was always in control, but today things were different. She paced along the strip of corridor and thought. We need a place suited for reading, with good lighting, a couch, chairs...comfortable chairs, and a bed. Why I am asking for the bed, I do not know, he is the one who wants it, but I'm asking for it. A reading room with good lighting, comfortable chairs, a couch, and a bed. She stopped after her third walk by the tapestry and faced a door. She looked over at Charon and waited for him to walk in. Charon walked in and saw the same room as before. Except this time, the lights worked. "All right! I think this is useable!" he said, as he turned to the door and waited for Rael to join him. "You want first pick on the reading spot, or do I get it?" he asked her. he knew exactly where he wanted to start. A nice, large, very comfortable looking couch, right against the middle of the back wall. Rael headed toward the biggest chair in the far right corner, without a word. She sunk into the chair, and pulled her legs up to curl into the chair. She looked to Charon. "Pick a place you would like to read at." She looked down to her book. She did not really want to read, but was going to anyway. She lifted the cover once more, and shifted slightly to be more comfortable with the propped book.

Charon took the couch he had been longing for and lay out on it. It really was comfortable, and with armrests he needed no pillows. Of course, he was a bit curious about Rael's book, but he was sure that if she found something interesting, she'd let him know. So he opened his book and started to read. It was quite fascinating, all this stuff about animagi.

The book she had chosen was a bit dry, but what history book didn't have it's dry spots? She read for awhile without stopping, but she eventually lifted her eyes from her book to glance at Charon. He was laying out on the couch, and seemed absorbed in his animagi book. At the moment she would rather have been reading the banshee book she had found, or one of the Herbology books she had found Charon looking through in the library.
She thought about saying something to him, but she was still slightly annoyed. After awhile longer, she thought about moving, but decided against it. She was comfortable, but the bed looked like a nice place to lie down and nap on. That's really what I need, she thought. Sleep, that's why I've been emotion frenzied all day. I woke up early, had a not so nice conversation, then classes.
As she continued to look at the bed, she changed her mind about not moving and stood. She quietly headed toward the bed and laid down. She curled up with the open book, and read a bit more.

Quet though Rael was, Charon still heard her get up and move. He looked up and saw that she had just switched over to reading on the bed, and went back to his book. It really was very interesting. Right now he was learning that some of the first animagi messed up just enough that they could never revert to their human form. And others were worse off. They managed to make themselves a mix of human and animal, and were thought to be demons for the rest of their days.

The turned pages did not bring any excitement in the book Rael looked through. She continued to read, constantly taking glances at the couch Charon laid on. She decided to stop reading for a bit and think. Her thoughts landed on classes, the book before her, the conversation she and Charon had had, and the letter her mother had sent to her.
The letter was the most interesting of the thoughts on her mind. The letter from her mother. When Rael recieved she was in shock her mother had taken the time to respond so quickly. She had thought it meant good news, she was wrong. Her mother went on to tell her how she was ruining her life. Rael was not ruining her own life, no. Rael was ruining her mother's life. The boy was not a pureblood, not even half-blood. He was muggle born. That bit annoyed Rael the most about her mother. Pureblood, half-blood, muggle born. What was really the difference? They all knew about wizarding world, didn't they?
While Rael was thinking through all of this, she slowly nodded off. Her left arm under her head, facing away from Charon. The book was still wide open, under her arm.

Charon glanced over at Rael after finishing the first chapter. He saw that she was fast asleep, so he got up silently and walked over to the bed. Very carefully, he pulled the book away from her, put a book mwark in it, and placed it on the floor. Then, being careful not to wake her, he tucked her in. He watched her sleep for a minute; she was so pretty when she was asleep. And when she was awake. And all the times inbetween. He quietly made his way back to his couch and resumed readin, checking on Rael every few pages.

Not long after falling asleep, she came to. Rael wasn't really sure what she was doing in a bed in a room that was not hers, but all of it slowly came back to her. She began reorganizing her thoughts and remembered she was not the only one in the room when she had drifted off. Rael noticed her book was not under her, where she had left it, and was tad worried. What if a professor had found her there and was waiting for her to wake? She rolled over quickly to see if Charon was still there, but the covers caught her, and she fell out of the bed with a loud crash.

Charon hadn't been looking when Rael awoke but he looked up immediately when he heard her fall. He started to laugh, as it was a bit funny, but he also got up quickly adnd hurried over to her side. By the time he reached her he was done laughing.
"Are you ok?" he asked. He couldn't help but be reminded of a similar occasion on their first meeting. Only, that time, the positions had been reversed.

"Fine and dandy," she replied sweetly. She smiled up at him and laughed. She remembered the time he had fallen, she hadn't laughed then. Though, things had been different, he had hit his head and she was worried about him. When she had fallen, it wasn't bad.
"I told you earlier I didn't mind the floor," she added. She continued to smile, she was not hurt, just a bit surprised at the sudden fall.

Charon was relieved that Rael hadn't hurt herself. "I can see that," he said, smiling. "Though next time you might want to try exiting the bed feet first," he teased. He stood and held out a hand to help her up.
Looking around he said, "It's a good thing you didn't land on your book. That could have been painful." Spotting the item in question, he added, "But it looks like it was a close miss."

Rael listened to what Charon had to say before slipping her hand into his. "Ah, but feet first is so normal. Should I not dare to be different? And the book is not that close, it's good three inches away" She smiled as she pulled herself up from the floor. Fully standing, she was a bit closer to Charon than she had thought. She tried to take a step back, but the covers were wrapped a tad to tightly around her feet still. The consequence was her falling back toward the floor, hand still attached to Charon's.

Oh crap, Charon thought as he felt the tug on his hand. He could just let go and let Rael fall, but that wouldn't be very nice to her. Besides, he didn't have the time for that. He was already on his way down. He closed his eyes and hoped that he wouldn't hurt himself or Rael when he landed. He felt his body hit and instinctively said "Oof!"
It felt like he had landed on the floor, unless Real wa a lot flatter, smoother, and harder than he had thought she would be. He opened his eyes and saw that he was indeed on the floor. And he was lucky. Aside from minor bruises, he wasn't hurt at all.

Laughter escaped from her mouth, she couldn't help it. She hadn't meant to take Charon down with her, in fact as soon as she realized she was falling, she had expected him to let go of her hand. She didn't move, except to turn her head toward the boy next to her. When she could view his face, she allowed a playful, 'oops' smile to take over her lips.
"I'm sorry," she began, still laughing. "I shouldn't have tried to move away without removing the covers." She lightly bit her bottom lip, and hoped he wouldn't be mad at her. "Are you all right?"

Charon laughed with her. He couldn't deny it was rather funny. "I'm quite alright. Yourself?" he replied to Rael's query. He was glad that he hadn't landed on her. Although it likely would have been a softer landing than he had had, he was sure she wouldn't have enjoyed it much. For some odd reason people tend to dislike having another person fall on them.
Lying on the floor, looking at Rael sideways, he noticed that she looked very pretty biting her lip like that. Of course, he always thought that she looked pretty, so this thought wasn't anything odd to him.

"I'm fine," she said through a light giggle. Rael rolled over onto her stomach and propped herself up on her forearms. Her smiled widened as she looked back over to him. "I did tell you I like the floor, right?" she asked lightly. Charon was still laying where he had fallen, and she rather liked how closely he had fallen to her. Though, she was glad he hadn't landed on her.
The smile remained on her face, and she was glad it was there. Though the nap she had taken was rather short, she felt refreshed. Feeling refreshed was a good thing, because it meant her emotions would be back in control. She allowed her eyes to glide over his features, and smiled inwardly. Charon really was a handsome boy.
