It was late, Arianna knew, but she couldn't go back to Ravenclaw. Not with Drew gone. She couldn't face the rest of her house and all their questions. They'd know she knew, at least, why the boy had been down in the greenhouses. They would know she was down there during the fire. They'd want to know everything. Arianna just couldn't do it.
And so she was relieved when she had come across Juni as she made her way up to the RoR after what was possibly the beginning of a series of questions from the professors, where she intended on staying the night. Arianna was content to have the cat to hold, but she needed something more and sent the cat off with a message to the only person she could think of, hoping he could . Juni was smart enough to figure a way to get the message where it was to go, even if he had to fight Midnight to sneak into Hufflepuff.
As she waited, Arianna paced outside the room, still smelling of smoke, her face covered with soot and tears. She hoped Kian could make it. It was alot to ask to sneak out during a lockdown, Arianna wouldn't hold it against him if he couldn't come. She'd said so in her letter, but would be very grateful if he did come.

He'd spent most of the day trying to keep the younger students calm while at the same time being worried himself. His clothes were in dischevel matching his hair messy hair. Kian had been a little surprised to find Juni in the common room at first he'd figured he'd come to find Midnight, which was quickly proven wrong. Just a glance at Midnight told him he hadn't since he stood there looking grumpy, tail twitching.
"Juni what are you doing in here?" he asked the cat before picking him up and moving over to one of the windows. "Hmm... what's this," Kian asked realizing that Juni had a note. After a quick read through of her note he decided without a second thought he'd find a way to sneak out and meet her. Weighting his odds of being able to get out he concluded me might just be able to.
Most of the students had drifted up to their dorms seeking comfort in the familiar and in their friends. Many of the older students tried their best to keep order in the House like he had been. With Juni still in his arms with a quick look around when the few people in the common room where distracted he made his stealthy escape into the halls.
He doubted anyone would miss him or notice his abscence with the current uproar of fear and anxiety. As quckly as he could he made his way to the Room of Requirements. Kian couldn't help but smile with relieve as his eyes landed on Arianna. Without much thought he pulled her to him and hugged her, "I was worried. Are you okay?" Kian asked pulling back slightly to look down at her, scanning her as he did for bruises or cuts.

Arianna would have liked to have told him she was fine. Really, she was for the most part. There were no physical scars upon her body, but she was certainly distressed and couldn't stop herself from crying as soon as Kian's arms enveloped her. It took her several attempts to say anything and when she did, Arianna's voice broke.
"Drew's....gone," she cried, pressing her wet and dirty face against the boy's chest. "He went down to the greenhouses earlier and...they can't find him. I shouldn't have let him go."

Kian's heart sank at her words that filled in all the empty spaces in what he'd guessed and heard. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, a student had disappeared. Giving her one last tight squeeze he said coaxingly, "You couldn't have know. It's not your fault." Arianna couldn't blame herself for what had happened to Drew.
Resting the palms of his hands on either side of her head he lifted it slowly so that she'd meet his eyes, "It's not your fault," as he spoke with his thumbs he wiped away the tears that streamed down her face. "They'll find him. I saw the fire. The mark. But... but i didn't know there was more."

Arianna sniffled as she looked up at the boy. She lifted her hands up, needing something to grasp, and let them lay upon his arms, right below his elbows. She could feel Juni rubbing against her ankles, also wanting to comfort her but letting Kian do what he could to help the girl.
"They think someone took him," she muttered, blinking back more tears. "I can't get a hold of him with my pendant....He won't answers. I don't...I don't know if that means he's hurt or...or tied up, or..."
Arianna couldn't bring herself to say the word. She couldn't bear to think about it, and yet it had been one of her initial thoughts. Of course, if the boy was dead, why would they drag his body off? She had to believe he was safe somewhere...for now.
"I can't go back to Ravenclaw," she continued, sniffling again. "I know they'll all be worried, but..I don't want to see their faces when they find out. I don't want to be the one to tell them."

"Don't think that. Just don't, okay," Kian replied since he now reallized what was truly bothering Arianna more than anything, that Drew might just be dead. "We can't think that. There has to be a reason they took him. They wouldn't just... just do that," he said trying to comfort her. He'd been curious by what she'd meant by he wasn't answering her through her pendant but thought better of asking, all things considered this wasn't the time or place for that. What mattered more in that moment was what could possibly have happened to Drew and Arianna's own state at the moment.
"Allright, then you don't have to," Kian said meeting her eyes. She didn't have to be somewhere that would cause her more suffering, since she was allready traumatized as it was she didn't need that added stress. "You don't have to be the one to tell them someone else will. And i wont leave you," he said looking into her eyes.

Arianna knew he was right. Why would they expect her to give the answers, anyway? Raynor would let the Ravenclaws know about Drew. She would also let them know that Arianna was okay. And Allegra would know Ari had run off to another friend for comfort. She'd understand. Arianna was sure of it.
"Thank you," Arianna moved forward and wrapped her arms around Kian, more grateful than ever for his presence. "Thank you for coming and...and risking getting in trouble. You didn't have to...Thank you."

As she wrapped her arms around him he echoed the same giving her at least some form of comfort. He wasn't sure how he could help her, he couldn't change the past but he would do all he could for her. "Your welcome," Kian replied, holding her close. "It was nothing. And i've got nothing to loose so don't worry about it. I would have done it again without a second thought."
"I'll stay with you through the night but we just have to find somewhere to hide so we don't get caught," he said scanning his surroundings before realizing they were at the Room of Requirements, that'd be perfect. "We can stay here," Kian said with a soft smile looking down at her.

"You don't have to," Arianna murmured, though she was thankful for the offer. "I was planning on staying here anyway. I'm sure Juni and I will be fine. I just...I just needed someone to talk to."
She could feel tears welling up in her eyes again. Though she and Drew did have quite a few problems in their relationship with each other, and hadn't really spent much time hanging out all year, she still cared and desperately hoped he would be safe. Where ever he was.

Kian shook his head at her reply. He didn't care what Arianna told him he wasn't about to leave her when it was quite apparant to him that she needed someone, and she'd sought him out so he wasn't about to leave her. Kian cared about her so no matter what she could possibly say he wasn't leaving.
Taking her by the shoulders his hold gentle he made her look up at him, "I'm not leaving you. I'm sure you two will be just fine without me. But no arguing okay," he said looking her in the eyes. "And just so you know i can be quite stubborn about things when i want to be," he added with a soft smile so she'd know he wanted to stay with he because he cared for her.

Arianna sniffed, a slight smile crossing her face. She hadn't really thought he'd listen to her, and was glad he didn't. But she also knew it was better to give him the option than to tell him to stay with her. Besides, she'd rather it be his choice to stay.
"No arguing," she agreed quietly. She lifted her hand to wipe at her tears and sniffed again. It was about this time that she realized how dirty she was.
"I should probably take a bath or something," Arianna commented as she bent over and picked Juni up off the floor again. "I think I should be able to do that in here." she gestured to the RoR, "It gives you everything else you might need."

He smiled as she agreed not to argue about it. In the moment that she bent down to pick Juni up he suddenly felt uncertain about his actions up until now. He'd told her he'd let her figure things out and he wasn't sure if he'd done well by hugging her, touching her, and having them that close. Arianna's next words did suddenly bring him back to the present, "Umm... i know it turns into whatever you want it to be. But how exactly..." he decided to word it a differerent way.
"What i mean is i can wait out here until your done," Kian wasn't about to up and just not say anything. He figured she'd probably be more comfortable that way and in all honestly he wasn't sure what she'd want the ROR to turn into so he asked.
A sudden realization dawned on him, "Would it be okay if Juni did me a little favor? I'm sure Krissy will cover for me and i think someone should know where i'm at in case someone asks."

Kian had brought up a good point. Arianna remembered the room making small changing rooms when she'd been invited to the fifth year's annual party (she'd ended up hiding in one fore a while), so it might create bathroom on the side. Arianna thought it would do so, but thought it might be better if Kian did stay outside until she was done. It wasn't because she didn't feel comfortable with him, but because it seemed more proper.
"I'll just hop in and take a quick bath, I won't be too long. I promise," she replies with a smile, wishing she could kiss him. It was a little cute to see him look a bit flustered. Arianna resisted, though and kissed Juni instead.
"Oh, yeah, you can borrow him," Arianna answered at once, handing the cat over. She had no problem letting Kian borrow the cat. He did need to let someone know where he was at and Krissy was certainly good at keeping secrets. Arianna didn't think Juni would have a problem with it, either. After all, the cat really seemed to like Kian.

"Okay. And don't worry about it take as long as you want," Kian replied with a smile as she told him she'd be going to take her bath now. "And when you get out i'll still be right here waiting for you," he added his smile still in place as he looked at her. While she took her bath he could always get that note done for Ari and keep a watch out for anyone that may wander onto the seventh floor.
"Thanks. I'll take good care of him," he said as Arianna handed him over to him. He scratched him once behind the ears once he was in his arms.

Arianna smiled. Kian's words actually reminded her of a song. Silly really, but it was just one of those things that suddenly popped into your mind.
"I'm sure you will," she agreed to the boy's last words and gave the cat one last pat and telling him to be good, though she doubted Juni would need the warning.
Turning, Arianna disappeared through the door, singing under her breath, " Wherever you go, whatever you do, I will be right here waiting for you...." She didn't even mind if it got stuck in her head tonight.
