"Just when did the students become pawns..." Drew grumbled as he took his traditonal slump into his chair, still not liking the fact that Celina seemed to be thrust in the middle of all of this. She had already dealt... still was dealing... with a lot, and Drew just didn't feel right using her as "strategy". If their goal was to protect the students, why were they putting one of the ones in most danger right between the crosshairs?

The question hurt. But she refused to show just how hard of a blow it left. The one person that she hated the most right now, was herself. The Headmistress wanted nothing more but to shove her new position down the Ministry's throats, give it to someone else and do what she had found had always been her calling right along; teach. But life was not that simple. How did she respond to a question she did not know how to answer?
Despite how much she tried to retain it, how much she tried to reign in some of her own emotion on the issue, her face reflected some of the tired stress she had been feeling for months now.
"The day we all became pawns," she replied quietly. "The day that Robert Shaw went too far. I fear what I might have got us all into, Mr. Thornton. The moment I see actual harm heading Celina Jedynak's way, the man is gone." She fiddled with her fingers, as if not quite sure what to do with her hands just then. "I suppose I want to believe there is still good in the world where there looks to be nothing but darkness. We will see. I won't let the girl get hurt."
She felt like she had already said that one hundred times in this conversation and it still wasn't enough.
