Lily wandered to the top of one of the towers and boredly tapped along the wall, thinking to herself. She was doing this for quite a long time until, she stopped and went back a few steps. She knocked on the wall. That was odd. She didn't think there was anything over there. "Hmm . . ." She wondered outloud, now tapping random bricks, as though they held the secret. She had been going around the room for a while, how come she hadn't noticed it until now? She was too wrapped up in her own thoughts.

Nic walked into the hallway and caught sight of Lily. He had purposelly not given her a time or place to meet him and was sorta avoiding her, but fate would not let him put her off anymore. Nic cleared his throat. "Ya wanna talk or shall we do this another time?"

Lily turned away from the wall to face Nic. She crossed her arms. "Now is fine," she said, a bit colder than she intended too. "Nic, this thing you and I. I don't think . . ." she faltered, unable to go on, not quite finding the courage for what she was about to do. She slipped her hand into her pocket, absentmindely pulling at a loose thread inside it.

Nic grew cold as he heard her tone. He walked up to her and stood no more than a few inches from her. "You don't think what? You went home and made up with daddy and you told him you're dating a *&*&^*& and he told you to dump him. Is that it? With your blue eyes and blond hair. I knew better." Nic spit out the words with as much disgust and contempt he could muster.

"I sure as heck didn't make up with my father." Lily narrowed her eyes as she said these words. "This was my decision and I went to Germany partly to think it over. I can't be with you Nic. Last time we were together you told me that I was incapable of love. Well people who are incapable of love don't have boyfriends now do they?"

Nic froze. He didn't hear the last of what she said. what he did hear over and over in his head was those 6 words. Nic stared at her and his mouth hung open slightly. Nic took in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"This is good-bye Nic," Lily said quietly. She hated the silence. "It's over and that's the end of the story. It was fun and you showed me some good times and I learned a lot from some mistakes I made with you. Good-bye Nic," she gathered up her bag and began to walk out of the room.

Nic grabbed her before she could go. He didn't want it to end. He loved being with her. He was stupid and he planned on telling her just that. "No Lily. Please. I was being a jerk. When you said no I should have listened. I'm sorry. Don't leave me. Come on." Nic crushed her to him and he held her tight not letting her go. He was hugging her and hoping she wouldn't walk out on him.

Lily fought his hug. "No Nic," Lily said. "Let me go. I've made up my mind and there's nothing you can do to change it. I'm not going to let myself cave into you when this is the third time I've attempted to break up with you. You may have stopped me the first two times, but not this time. This time, I'm sure. There is no going back."

Nic looked shocked. He dropped his hands, but didn't let Lily go around him. "What are you talking about three times? This is the first I ever heard about it." Nic shook his head. "Are you talking about the day in the park? I apologized for that. I'm sorry. Don't do this. Come on Lily girl, you know I'm good for you. I'm not like my fath...Treyvon. Please Lily. One last chance don't leave me. Please." Nic wanted to stop the sissy words out of his mouth, but he coudln't. They kept coming and coming, but he didn't care at this point. She was the only good thing for him and he couldn't let it go.

"I've given you your chances," Lily said. "I should have from the yule ball. Because of you, I had to break a promise and I don't like doing that. No, Nic, I stand firm in my ground when I say that you and me we're over. Over. I've given you your chance, Nic, and now I have to do what's best for me." She sneaked around him. She had to get out.

Nic stepped blocking her again. *Yes I know I'm god moding* "Wait what promise did I make you break? Darn it Lily talk to me. You said you wanted to talk not break up with me. And you're not breaking up with me. I'm breaking up with you! Yeah you get mad at me for something I'm sure I didn't do at the stupid ball. Then you leave me WITHOUT saying goodbye. And now you act like I'm some sort of monster. Well then fine. If you want to leave so bad get out!"

"I am trying to get out," Lily said, going around him once again. "But someone in this room, can't accept the fact that we are over. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about. The promise I broke was the one not to run away. And you went with Ari at the ball. Go find her to comfort you."

[Nicolae Torque]

Nic looked at Lily like she was retarded. "Woman what are you talking about? I went with you to the ball, not Ari." Nic paced, but stop in front of her again, so she wouldn't leave. "Fine so YOU run away and I get blamed. Do you ever own up to anything you do?"

"Yes," Lily said. "I owe up to being the most screwed up worst person in the world who breaks hearts and hurts people. And don't tell me you don't remember drooling all over Ari at the yule ball. Good-bye Nic, I no longer wish to speak to you. Now remove yourself before I have to pull out my wand." Her hand clenched it in her pocket. "And don't think I can't take you with my wand, because I can."
