"Me, playing? Heck yeah! I love Quidditch. The reason I did bad in my Fifth Year was because it was Seeker and I had a lot of injuries and all. And watching the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs practice last year was fun watching. But this year, I'm ready to be serious," he said. He forgot to mention that he got kicked off the team as well in his fifth year. He didn't feel like saying that. Then another fimiliar voice was heard by Tristan.
"Anna!" he said in excitement. "Where were you on the Hogwarts Express?" he asked. That was the reason why he left Drew and them to go find Anna, but was unsuccessful.

She entered the Great Hall and then a wave of nostalgia so great washed over her that she had to stop in her tracks a moment. Several people passing by looked at her wondering if she was alright, she paid them no heed at least not then. Wave after wave of memory played itself in her mind the first time she had ever set foot in there, the first time she heard the sorting hat, the day she was sorted into Ravneclaw. Then all her years of sitting in the Great Hall with friends more like family. It just hit her that it was soon going to come to an end. This was her very last year. Someone bumped into her making her come out of her reverie. Shaking her head her blond curls flying around her face clearing her mind.
She felt no shame but she did feel the strong urge to make it to her table. Walking toward it she found a seat near the end not too close to anyone, since lately she hadn't been the friendliest of sorts. Maybe someone would have a kind word for her she did find someone to talk to on the train ride over.

The slim girl walked into the Grand Hall with a wistful look in her eyes. Had she now been 5'7'', someone might have mistaken her for a firstie. In fact, Layla had spent the last part of the train ride and the entirety of the carriage ride to the castle like this. She had missed the last two rides, and she knew this would be her last. She was trying to take everything for the last time. She smirked when she saw the magic that brought the ceiling to life. It was something she was sure every student would remember.
Afraid she'd knock into someone, she looked ahead instead of up and made her way to the Ravenclaw table, happy to see it was there where she had left it. Finding it mostly bare, she walked up to a blonde that seemed to be sitting alone. Finding that there was nothing to lose, she approached her Housemate and sat across from here. "Hi," she greeted her with a small smile. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Taking a glance, Layla saw Tianne at the front end and waved at her from her seat. She hadn't seen the girl since they met in Diagon Alley.

Angel looked up quickly at the sound of a voice. She smiled when she recognized Layla thought they had never really spoken to one another. As she asked if it was OK to sit there Angel nodded her head yes vigorously. "Oh yes please do" she said maybe in a bit more excited way than necessary. "So how are you doing? How was your summer?" she asked.

Ryan was so glad to be back at Hogwarts. Spending time with Robbie, well, it had just been horrible. The boy's brother was forever making fun of him, pushing him around and well, annoying him. Usually, Ryan would either tolerate it, or fight back, but lately, he just wasn't in the mood for doing so. Maybe it was his maturity kicking in, maybe it was the fact that Robbie always seemed to do it at night, when all Ryan was focused on was going to sleep. Ryan had spent a lot of his holidays at Seth's house with Tianne and Matty, but he still spent he majority at home.
As the boy entered the hall, grinning at the sight of all the decorations, he was surprised to see that he wasn't actually late. Almost every other year, the exception being his first year, him and Seth had run off to do something, and he hadn't yet attended a sorting feat on time. But this year, Ryan wandered in, taking his seat on the gryffindor table, and glancing around to see who he knew so far. He noticed Tianne, up the front of the table, and Matty, also at Ryan's table, but away from the boy. He sat by himself, as he really wanted to think. How awkward had that train trip been?

Ah ha, so it appeared Matty was the Hufflepuff captain this year Anna thought as she peered down and saw her own black and gold badge. Competition looked like it was going to be tough this year but there was rarely a year when it wasn't. "Thanks, and congradulations to yourself as well! I can't wait to get back onto the field but I guess the two of us have to go through tryouts first." she smiled.
Then turning over to Tristan she answered, "And of course I was on the Hogwarts Express! How do you think I got here with everyone else. Course I didn't see you there." Anna said crossing her arms in a pretend frown. The girl was obviously teasing him.

Maddy grinned as she walked into the hall. She had the same expression on her face as many of the other students, relief, as there was nothing too different, happiness, as she was back home, and awe, as year after year, the hall always seemed to create new ways to impress the students. She had somehow lost Jethro on her way into the hall, but she was sure that the boy would turn up some-how, even if she had to personally search for him. They weren't allowed to sit together, but it was still pretty cool to walk in with friends, so she didn't have to be alone forever.
Maddy looked around the hall, before spotting Matty Wentworth over with a boy and a girl that Maddy didn't know. She knew that she wanted to sit with the older girl, and she knew that this was going to be one of the only chances Maddy had to familiarize herself with the other students. She was only a second year, but Maddy was quite out-going, and she had quite a good confidence level. "Matty." She said, tugging on the older girl's arms. She smiled shyly at the other two, muttering a small and quiet "Hello." She wasn't usually nervous like this, but the badges on each of their chests made Maddy seemed somehow inferior.

Layla smiled at Angelique. It was odd how people just picked up where they had left off. She had never really spoken to her before, even though they were in the same year, but they were able to settle in quite nicely regardless of Layla being away for two years. She supposed it was because she had not been the only student to have been removed from Hogwarts... and something told her that she wouldn't be the last.
"It was good. I spent most of it in Diagon Alley just hanging out." By 'hanging out' she meant 'reading' and 'nerding' and a bit of 'worrying. It had been two months since she left her house without a word, and she still hadn't owled them. "How was yours?"

Angel was surprised by that bit of bravado usually she would have just said hello back and left it at that but something prompted her to make small talk. The two weren't truly close Angel had no idea the last time they spoke if ever but then it could be because Layla had been gone from what she could remember for a while. She couldn't help but wonder what had happened but had enough respect not to. As she listened to how Layla spent her summer Angel couldn't help but smile, at least one of them did something fun, she pretty much stayed home as her parents tried to school her on what her next step should be. "Lucky you, I was pretty much getting lectured day in and day out my parents are on this real kick about me figuring out what I want to do after school is over. I mean I know I should be thinking about it but sheesh they ruined my summer you know" she said ending with a laugh. "Man can you believe this is our last year here?"

A wonderful feeling swept over Karina as she stepped out of the horseless carriage and walked toward the stone steps which lead into the entrance hall. She was excited to be back and the unchanging scene before her was a welcoming one indeed. Hogwarts was considered her home away from home, even more so right now since the girl had barely been inside her own house all summer. Mr. and Mrs. Morandi had insisted on traveling to France during the entire vacation to visit friends and family. It was nice to see her cousins but the friends part not so much, they were more like bussiness people that only came to see her parents. That part of the visit was always borning but mum and dad always said that if she still wanted to go to school then Karina was just have to put up with it.
Passing through the great oak doors with new robes flowing behind, Kari entered the great hall realizing for the first time how hungry she was. Stupid, she had fallen asleep on the train and didn't wake up when the trolly came passing by. Now Kari was doomed to wait until the speeches were given and the new first years sorted. Since there was no helping it, she took a seat at the Gryffindor table and waited.

Another year. His last at Hogwarts. Drew really didn't want to dwell on it all that much, but couldn't help thinking of the first time he had walked through those grand oak doors.
He wasn't that squeeky voiced kid anymore, had grown over two feet, and now understood the importance of a daily shower. The train ride from London hadn't completely overtaken his latest one and a quick swipe of the roll-on and a small splash of aftershave had gotten rid of the last of the train stank. His slacks were pressed with a perfect crease down their front, his shirt crisply starched, and his tie done up close to his throat. On the front of his robes, offsetting the Ravenclaw patch only slightly, was the Head Boy badge he was pretending to have forgotten.
And on his arm... well that was the best. A freckle-faced Gryffindor held his hand and as they reached those great doors leading to the feast, Drew paused and looked down at her. "You ready for this?" he asked, knowing she had had some difficulty the previous year at the last feast. He didn't blame her. Regular meals were okay, but since the events of the previous January, it was kind of weird sitting through the big feasts.

Helping the first years from the train, making sure they made it to the guy who was calling for them, though she sincerely hoped he was supposed to be calling for them. She didn't recognize the man in the dark, though she had previously seen him during the orientation. With those few stored away safely with the man, Felicity kind of latched to Drew and rode in his carriage up to the school. The previous September, she'd ridden with Michael, but hardly saw him at all that year. It was sad, but she was glad to have Drew for the rest of the year. It was their last together at the school, unless by some freak accident, Drew failed out of the seventh year and was allowed to repeat.
Hand in his, Felicity walked with Drew up the few steps that led to the looming castle, in through the entrance doors, and up to those double oak doors that were still standing. Only the previous year she couldn't wait to be sorted, had run through those very doors and enveloped Corey in a hug, met Keagan, hugged Michael, and had gone running around the Great Hall in search of those she knew to tell them the news of becoming a Gryffindor. She'd even found Drew.
When Drew stopped moving, so did Felicity. It was natural, to just stop when he did. Glancing up at him, looking around her, she shook her head. How could she be ready? Prefect? Feast? What was Raynor doing to her this year? Why did she feel the need to torture her? At least with tea parties she got something to drink, and possibly to eat.
Taking a deep breath, she really didn't want to go in. What if, once more, those doors were busted down? What if this time there was no one to stop things from happening. She still wasn't entirely clear who stopped Shaw last time, but what if that person wasn't around this time?

A small head shake was all the answer he got and he wasn't very surprised by it. He gave her hand a small squeeze, wishing he could suggest they sat together, but their respective badges would prevent that. Any other day she could have joined the Ravenclaws or he the Lions.
Or was he mistaken? As prefect, she would obviously have to sit with her house, help greet the new students, keep the rowdy second years in line. But did he really have to sit with his table? He wasn't sure.
"You want me to sit with you?" he asked, figuring it was worth a shot. Even if it was just for a little bit, maybe it would help.

The corners of her lips lifted for the smallest moment when he squeezed her hand, but fell again right after. It wasn't really a required feast, but as Prefect it was one of her duties. And again, why did someone make her Prefect? Just to torture her more about things, forcing her to be in attendance at feasts, that was why she was made a Prefect.
But what Drew suggested next made the blonde raise a curious eyebrow at him.
"Can you do that?" It was, after all, the Sorting Feast, weren't students supposed to sit at their respective tables so they could greet and welcome the new students? She was pretty sure that was how it went, and being Head Boy, shouldn't he really be at his own table? Though, Felicity liked the idea of him sitting with her, she'd feel safer if he was there. Not that she didn't feel safe around her denmates, but they weren't Drew.

Drew shrugged. No, he wasn't sure he could, but that didn't mean he couldn't. After all, why would he have to sit with his house? Ravenclaw had its prefects and if his job as Head Boy was to help them out, why couldn't he help out the other houses out as well? Wouldn't that be part of being a Head Boy as well? Drew thought it would be.
"No one ever said I couldn't," he answered, giving her a crooked smile. And until someone did, he figured hecould sit where ever he wanted. "Even for a little bit, I think I could." Too bad their tables weren't next to each other. Then there'd be no problem because the could sit across the isle from each other at least.
