After a long line of first years, Maddy stumbled in, thinking about her home. About what she had left behind. Her friends, her family. Maddy tried hard not to think about it but couldn't help it. She was also worried about SAlly and Benji, where had they been on the train? Maddy smiled, knowing they'd be alright.
Maddy had reluctantly changed into her robes on the train, so she was already dressed. Maddy had lost sight of Jethro and Summer, who she was sitting with on the train and felt sort of lonely by herself. But she couldn't be alone forever could she?

Running up the grounds of Hogwarts, Jethro's brown hair fell into his eyes, as he stumbled and took a further few leaps. He was exited, his heart was pumping, and the boy was dancing in the rain piratically. His blue eyes darted here to there looking for a glimpse of Summer, but none met his gaze. Dressed in his black robes, Jet grinned and span before running up the the castle doors. He panted as he slowed down and reached the Oak doors.
Stepping into the castle, dripping with rain, Jet spotted Maddy. A grin flared on his young face yet again, as he nodded to the Lady who looked in charge, and strolled over to behind her. "Evening..." he said in a hyper-active-but-controlled-voice. The boy moved smoothing in front of the girl, his eyes dancing with joy. This was his new home, new friends, new family, new house. Everything was new, but one old thing that would never leave his heart was the memories he had for his friends.
The sliver bracelet was clamped shining on his wrist, sparkling with the drops of rain. Walking over to a wall and gesturing for Maddy to follow, his eyes took one last glance out the door into the murky whether for Summer.

Benji walked in at the back of the line. As he was tired and running very, very late, he had no time to find Maddy, even though she made him promise to sit with him. He expected her to be worrying about her family. He had gotten dressed on the train because thats what the big kid told him to do. Benji had slept for a long time on the train. He was by himself in the compartment and wished for friends, but as he gets train sick and was still very shy around the older kids, He couldn't get up and look for her.
As he was walking, he saw all the first years, none of which he had met. He sort of felt like the underdog, in a way. Everyone seemed to be smiling but Benji was just scared. But then, he saw a girl walking by herself. It was Maddy! He ran up to her, (bumping into a few people on the way) and went and said hello and kissed her on the cheek. Hopefully she remembered him.

Maddy had a look of boredness on her face. Where were her friends? She pulled her long, blonde hair up into a ponytail and finished it by tying a big black ribbon around the ponytail. Maddy squeezed the water out of the bottom of her robes and cleaned the dirt off her shoes with a small cloth she had pulled from her pocket. Maddy hoped she looked good in front of Everyone else. 'Oh well.' Maddy thought. 'I better start socialising.' Just as she thought that a boy jumped in front of her, greeted her and kissed her on the cheek. It took Maddy a little while to realise who had done this. It was Benji. The girl's blue eyes looked at him with shock, before she pulled back away form the boy's face.

Sneaking around and hiding was pretty much Milo's specialty. He'd made it the entire train ride here without actually talking to anyone. He was always shy like this at first, but when he got to know people he would get better. After the downpour that had followed them across the lake, Milo stepped out of the boat, totally drenched and quite unhappy about it. He trudged up with the last of the new first years to the castle, his shoes making squelching noises with each step.
Once inside the castle, Milo was immediately warmer. He saw that two of his soon-to-be classmates where already getting in trouble by a woman who he guessed was either the Headmistress or the Deputy. Either way, he knew he'd be seeing her a lot in the years to come. Without saying a word, Milo looked around at the other students already there and then stood off to the side, his eyes glanced down so he wouldn't be forced to talk to anyone. This was going to be a long feast.

Jethro's eyes landed on the one and only, Benji. He hadn't actually seen the boy, had he maybe Jethro would have had a different attempt to Maddy. A kiss on the cheek was as far as he need to see to know something more than friendship was going on. Jet clumsily stepped back into the wall behind him, and knocked his head, letting a soft "Ah," escape out of his mouth. A moment later, the pain and shock was gone. He didn't have anything against Benji or Maddy, it was just sort of weird seeing his mates like this, well, finding out like that anyways.
A flicker fell through his heart however as the word 'Summer' came from Maddy's mouth. "Hey Benji, we missed seeing you on the train?" he commented smoothly, thinking about what Maddy had said. A frown crept a small inch into his cheerful smile. "Er, no she's not. I lost her when we got to the boats, missing her already..." he said, fading the last three words drastically. Spotting a boy that had just come in, alone and looking sort of shy, Jethro's smiled warmed up again.
"Hey guys, I'm just gonna head over here for a minute," he said , waving them good-bye and heading over to the boy who had just come in. "Hi, I'm Jet, nice to meet you." Jethro said, extended his slightly wet hand to the boy. It never was great being the new kid.

Milo nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a voice talking to him. He looked up to see a boy standing in front of him with his hand stretched out, waiting to greet him. A smile spread across Milo's face and he shook the boy's hand. "Milo," the young boy replied, "Nice to meet you too. Any idea when they'll let us in?" Milo just wanted to get the sorting and the feast over with so he could get to a bed. He was dead tired and just wanted to sleep.

Jethro's grin remained strong and hopeful, reassured by the boy's own smile. He tucked his hand back inside the pocket of his robes and dried off the excess rain on his hands. Rocking back and forth on his heals, the boy then remembered that Milo had asked him a question. "Hopefully soon, i can't wait to be sorted, but mostly to eat and be warm." Jet said in a light tone, taking a glance to the Lady standing near by. "So, how was your trip here?" Jethro asked, building on the conversation.

"Sort of lonely," Milo replied truthfully, but chuckled, "I had to sprint to the station and I nearly missed the train so I ended up sitting by myself. Wasn't really that bad." Milo shrugged slightly to show he didn't really care. He liked the time alone so he could think and try to prepare himself for this new term. The idea of going to Hogwarts had thrilled Milo all summer and he couldn't wait for it to start. But now that it was actually here, he was starting to have a fit.
Glancing around at everyone who seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves, Milo frowned slightly. "Am I the only one nervous or is everyone else just really good at hiding it?" Milo asked Jet with a chuckle.

"Ah, well at least you didn't miss the train, and got a compartment." Jethro said in a kind way. "Not that i did though, i probably would have died had i have missed that train," he said in the same cheery tone he had used moments before. Ever since he had woken up this morning, so many hours ago, Jethro had felt it. A sense of satisfaction that he was finally getting somewhere, and Summer had made things all that worth while.
Jet then caught the boy in front of him, glancing around at everyone else. Smirking and letting a snicker escape, Jethro simply sighed. "Don't worry mate, i feel like i could chuck right now, but things'll be fine." he said reassuring Milo that he wasn't the only one nervous. Indeed the youth himself was swimming with fear about loneness and such, but the excitement was also ringing within him because of the new adventures to come.

Summer had changed, like most of them, in the train. She tried to aviod it until the last second and Jet had to practicely force her to agree and put them on but she did. As reluctantly as Maddy did. However, she had lost her two friends after the train made the stop at this place. There was just an overwhelming crowd of people that it was easy for a young girl to get seprated.
She reached the Great Hall and just watched everybody interact with each other. Her she was in thi place. "Great" she said to herself, as she leaned her back on a near by wall. She rested her head back and closed her eyes to take in all that had happened that day. Of course she was happy, when she was with Jet, but now that they were seprated she had the time, again, to think and realize she had never wanted to come here in the first place.

Adrian walked with Braxton and Ryan for a way's but he soon moved away to get a better view of the castle. It was even more impressive the second time, with rain pattering against the stone and the darkened sky surrounding it. He heard a faint rumble of thunder in the distance.
The hem of his robes was soaked, as was his hat, but he didn't care. Adrian was a bit fond of rain, anyway. His hat was just making him wetter and it itched, so he swept it off, attempting to wring it out. He shuddered slightly as some water seeped from his hair down his neck. He imagined the students inside the Great Hall, warm and comfortable. He was starving, also. Wizarding candy was good, but it didn't fill you up.
As the group entered the Castle, he sighed with relief. He made his way through the throng and back to Braxton and Ryan. They were getting reprimanded by the Headmistress, although Adrian didn't know why. Getting in trouble before the Sorting Feast was a feat that not many had managed, in all likelyhood. He grinned, flashing white teeth.

Braxton went down just as he had managed to say hello to Claire. He, however, was still smiling as he looked back at Ryan after he had been unceremoniously shoved off. "Because," Braxton said through gritted teeth shooting a side glance over in the Deputy's direction. He had managed to hear her, but it was apparent that Ryan still hadn't seen her there and he hoped that his glance would be the only thing Ryan would need.
Hearing his name he looked over his shoulder to see Trixi standing there. "Hey Trixi" he said with a smile as he pushed himself up off the floor and back onto his feet. Then seeing Adrian had finally made it he gave him a small smile.

'Because' Ryan heard. Well that was telling. Okay so it wasn't really, but he did see him glance over in someone's direction. Turning his head in the direction that Brax had glanced he saw who Brax had been indicating. It had to be the only adult in the room right? Or was Brax just a bit paranoid? Why would she care if they were having a bit of fun. It wasn't like they were hurting anyone, well except himself and he was doing a good job of that. Deciding that he must have missed something he slowly picked himself off of the ground and looked up when Brax addressed someone else. "Oh, hey Trixi." Ryan said with a smile trying to convince himself that he hadn't bruised anything. Seeing that Adrian had also made his way over to him he smiled at him to and said hi.

Jeremy's mood was quickly changing from nervousness to despair. He was cold and wet and aside from a couple of faces, he knew absolutely nobody. Everyone else seemed to be getting along great as if they had known each other for ages. He was starting to think he should have put up a bigger fuss about coming, fed his mother's fears even more so she'd demand he stay home, when he was tackled into t very big and very wet bear hug.
"Hannah! Get off me!" he complained, pushing her away and scowling at her. BOY, was he happy to see her!
