It's amazing how, when your small, everything else seems so big. Or perhaps it was infact the enormous size of the castle that made Conner feel like he was really small as he looked up at the rugged stone walls as he walked up towards the castle.
The place looked magnificent and the carrages that drove them to the gate of the school, seemingly pulled by nothing seemed sureal. The whole of the scenery and the area around was wonderful. The mid-day winter sun had poked its head out from behind the clouds only slightly for today but still it shone through Conners dirty blonde hair which matched his twin sisters hair in which the only difference between the two's hair was the length.
His small hand was clenched around Corynn's, a feeling of apprehension swelling through him. They were here. It was about mid way through the winter holidays and Conner and Corynn walked up the steps and into the entrance hall together. They had decided to come to Hogwarts during the holidays to give themselves time to settle in and learn their way around the place. But Conner was still apprehensive.
As they stepped into the entrance hall, the largw oak doors closing behind them Conner turned to his twin sister a look of worry still on his face. "It's all very big isn' it?" He said, his voice quiet and yet his Irish accent could still be heard.

Corynn looked at her brother with a smile. She could see how scared he was, she was to, but she was going to be brave for him. Besides this was an adventure, and she was going to make the most out of it.
"Well, umm yes it is kinda big, but I guess that means we can have alot of fun getting lost together and well its going to be alot harder for you to find where I am hiding these days." Corynn said laughing at the idea of her twin brother finding were she is in this place. It was huge and the grounds seemed almost bigger then that.
Before coming here Corynn had decided to read any book she could get her hands on about Hogworts, but nothing would prepair you for seeing it the first time. She smiled again and squezzed her brothers hand remindiing him that she was right beside him and not about to leave him all alone any time soon.
Now all they needed to do was find some other people.

"Aye but ya know I could find you any day" Conner said, his confidence boosted slightly by his sisters talk of hide and go seek and her actions showing him that she was with him and wasn't leaving him no matter what. "I'm a good at findin' s you are at hindin' an' you know it" He said grinning to Corynn. The two of them used to always play hide and go seek back at their house. It was good fun, even if their house was kind of small. There were still a million spots for Corynn to hide so Conner could locate her.
Conner looked around the hallways. Their large trunks had been put outside the castle, they had been told to leave them there and that they would be taken to their rooms. But, where were their rooms? Him and Corynn had only found out about Hogwarts when they had recived their letters, but due to family problems and commitments had not been able to embark upon their journey to Hogwarts until now. But now they were here. They had read as much as they could, or well Corynn read as much as she could while Conner looked at pictures and got Corynn to tell him about it all. She tended to learn better than he.
"So.. uhh Corry?" He asked his sister in the nickname he had given her years ago. "Any idea as to where we are exactely meant to go?" They didn't know where to go, they needed someone to come and help them because they had no idea in the world where they were supposed to go.

It seemed that Hogwarts students had an uncanny ability to show up just where they were most needed; Keagan was no exception. Coming down the staircase that led, at the moment, from the third floor to the Entrance Hall, Keagan was covering the last handful of steps just as the twins entered through the great oak doors leading into Hogwarts castle. Unobservant as she was, however, Keag did not notice the pair until she was well into the Hall, and them quite far into the castle.
Glancing up from her feet, to which she had been looking and wondering why she insisted on wearing these old saddle shoes months past their expiration date, the sixth year finally noticed the adorable pair, obviously trying to find their way about. A kind grin spread across her features as she approached the two with a bounce in her step, though she approached slow enough not to bound upon them and scare the willies out of them.
"Hey, yous two. Are you lost?" she asked jollily while still several feet off.

Corynn watched the girl as she approached. She seemed nice enough, though older then them. Corynn swallowed back a slight fear to answer the girls question, unaware that she had tightened her grip on Conners hand.
"I think were very lost " Corynn said with a shy smile. She noticed that Conner had taken a back step behind her and was peeking out over her shoulder. She held back a giggle and turned back to the older girl "Ummm he is a little shy especially around new people. My name is Corynn and this is Conner" Corynn held out her hand trying to remember the manners her mum had always said were important when meeting new people. "Could you maybe help us please"

Keagan smiled as she bent down slightly to shake the young girl's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Corynn." Waving at the boy behind the girl, she added. "And you too, Conner." She stepped back a step, hoping not to make the pair, especially the shy-looking boy, too uncomfortable. "Well, I can certainly try. First things first; do you know what house you are each in?"

At the arrival of then older girl Conner did infact step behind his sister. He was alot less brave than her, least in these instances, she seemed to like to meet people more than he did. He would be happy if it was just her and him together forever. He had grown up with her afterall. The older girl didn't seem like she was going to attack or anything and Corynn seemed to respond kindly to her and so at her introduction of him he stepped slightly out from behind her, ready to hide again should he need to.
"We jus' came to this school" He said quietly to the older girl, his irish accent matching his sisters. They were from Irelamd after all and it was yet to be tainted from the many accents of students from Hogwarts. "We donno where to go" he looked at the older girl, wondering wether she was one of the mean Slytherin's his sister had read bout in one of her books. "We are Gryffindor's" he said to the girl quietly.

"Well, then I most definitely can help you. I don't know if you've heard or read anything about prefects, but you are lucky enough to have found yourselves a Gryffindor one." Keagan had made a note of the accents the both of them had, and it only served the purpose of having her find them even more cute than just their appearances would allow.
"Did they already send your luggage up, then?" She asked, also noticing that they did not seem to have anything with them aside from each other.

The snow was slowly but surly melting on the Hogwarts grounds, never the less Matty was making the most of it. The day had been quite frosty, yet she managed to wear less then 5 layers of winter clothes. So as she approached the castle,, unzipping her snow jacket, she slowly opened to doors. The oak on the door frame was some what icier then usual, but that would all change in good time. However opening the door, she realized that Matty wasn't the only one in the Entrance Hallway. Smiling as she entered behind the two younger, and newer student, she was yet to know that they were twins.
Walking slowly not wanting to startle the boy behind his sister, she passed them looking to the older student and smiling. "Hi, everything alright?" she asked politely, not that anything would be wrong though? All the same you never knew the future.
(gah! You both posted?!)

"Aye, They told us they would take the luggage up, but then they kinda left us and were a lil confused. "
Corynn smiled at the knowleadge that this girl was a Prefect. "I tryed reading everything I could before coming here and I know all about Prefects."
Just then Corynn noticed the other girl walk right in. Conner seemed frightend for a seconed as the girl had appeared almost out of no were. This girl also seemed older but maybe slightly closer to there age. She smiled at her and gave a small wave, beofre turning back with a slightly starteled look to the Prefect. There seemed to be alot of people here and meny just came out of no were. Croynn inched slightly closer to Conner, she was loosing her nerve a little, she felt way out of place in this world she hardly new.

Conner had been starteled by the odler girl coming behind him and had returned to his spot behind his sister again, but once again moved out from behind slightly. Corynn had told him about prefects. That meant the big girl would be able to help them especially because she was in their house. It also meant she wouldn't let anything happen to them. He didn't have to be as scared anymore.
"Does that mean you can show us where were supposed to be going?" He asked the older gryffindor. She had been yet to introduce herself. "Were not really sure an' all" His voice was still small and quiet so it was lucky the entrance hall was pretty quiet.

"Yup, everything is just fine," Keagan answered the Hufflepuff from over the heads of the two young ones. "It seems we have a couple new students who aren't sure what to do with themselves. I'm sure you know the drill." She turned her attention back to the little Lions again with a smile. "Sure thing. We'll get you up to the common room right quick."
Keagan was mentally going over the checklist in her head; she was grateful that she had been the one to find the new Gryffs, as she would probably end up going over everything with them anyway, so why not get a headstart on the walk up to the House tower. Their luggage had already been hauled up to the Gryffindor common room, so the next thing on her agenda, it seemed, would be to escort them up to the tower, as well. The Prefect was sure they wouldn't mind a little tour along the way, as well.

Conner gave a weak smile to the older girl. she seemed nice enough and seemed keen to show them exactly where to go. "Aye I tink we got it" He said in response to her. It seemed she knew exactly where she needed to take them which was a good thing in Conners mind, He didn't really fancy being lost in a castle this big on his first day there. He wasn't sure if he would ever find his way out of the corridors if he got lost.
"Were first years..." He said to the older girl, he wasn't sure exactly what relevance this would hve but maybe it would get her to let him know how old she was. He was a bit too shy to really want to straight out ask her how old she was. anyway, his mother had always told him it was rude to ask women how old they were.

Corynn could tell her brother was a little less shy now and so she pulled him out to stand beside her ready for the walk that might take awhile in the huge castle. Whatever was about to happen she wonted Conner by her side ready to face whatever came there way thogther. Like all the other adventures they had shared in life. She was ready to have some fun.
"Right quick sounds good, I am kinda hungrey and Conner would have to be two by now. After the common room could you maybe show us were we would find food?" She asked this shyly afraid to sound to rude, but she didn really have a choice her tummy was starting to make a awefully loude noise. "Please" she added on the end with a little smile.

Because his sister pulled him out Conner stood beside his sister. He didn't mind it much. they were always together and had faced many a people, including a very angry grocer one day who wasn't very impressed about the fact they had knocked all his apples off the bench. "Aye I am a lil hungry" Conner agree'd with his sister. "An' it'd help ta know where we can get food from each day"
Conner didn't know wether they had to make their own meals or wether meals were cooked or what happened at this school. He did hope however that someone else cooked, him and his sister hadn't relly ever learnt to cook much more than toast. Which did mean they were likely to blow the whole school up if they were forced to cook whole meals on their own.
