It was the winter holidays and Ty had decided that he would stay at the school for the duration of it. His twin sister was planning on staying at her school, because of some special event that they were holding, and his parents were planning on going on a vacation to a secluded island. None of which interested him in the least. He couldn't see why you would want to spend Christmas on a island, without any snow, in the heat and his sister not going only meant that if he had decided to go with his parents for the holidays that he would have no one to entertain him so he decided to remain at Hogwarts.
Walking out into the courtyard dressed in denim jeans, a slate grey long-sleeved shirt, covered by a snow coat, and a pair of tennis shoes, he made his way out into the middle of it before pulling a pair of waterproof gloves out of his pocket and putting them on. He loved the snow and in his opinion there was nothing better to take your mind off of something then a good old fashion snowball fight, but since he didn't have anyone to have one with he contented himself with throwing them at any target in sight. Hitting trees, benches, windows and anything else that was in his throwing range.

Chase, bundled up in all her Winter wear, had decided to take a stroll through the courtyard. Like Ty, she too was quite fond of snow- oocasionally it would snow at home but not much. She remembered the times that it did- she and her parents would always make snowmen together and have snowball fights. Chase, unable to use magic at home, was terrible at snowball fights but she still tried to win- that Gryffindor spirit coming out.
Her striped, red and gold Gryffie scarf wrapped around her neck, red gloves, her black winter coat and her red hat were all on. She smiled to herself, enjoying the nice air- it was always fresher during the Winter. As she walked past a bench, a snowball flew towards her, hitting her square in the face. Chase froze, shocked. She brushed the snow off of her face and glanced around, her eyes setting on Ty.
Chase fused and ran behind a tree, bending down for snow. She shaped it into a ball and frowned. It was really big... was she going to be able to throw it? Whatever- she would try anyway. The snowball was just a little smaller than a volleyball xD. She poked her head out from behind the tree, aimed at her target, and chucked the snow as hard as she could- sorta heavy.

Ty laughed as his snowball collided with its target. It was always twice as fun to throw snowballs at moving targets then it was to just aim at a stationary one. So when the opportunity arose he just couldn’t help but take advantage of it. Seeing the young Chase flea behind a tree he bent down and picked up another handful of snow. Just as he went to rise he was covered in a blizzard of snow. It seemed that Chase’s rather large snowball had fallen short of its target, but did damage all the same. Wiping the over spray of snow out of his eyes he got to his feet laughing slightly. “Good one Chase,” he said smiling and walking a little sideways in hopes of getting a better aim at the Gryffindor girl.

Chase scoffed and picked up another handfull of snow, " You hit me when I wasn't ready, last time! ... and I haven't forgotten what had happened at the Quidditch game- not yet!" she called- still upset that he hadn't handed her the quaffle when she so nicely had asked for it. Chase rolled the snow in her hands but the beautiful snow ball shattered in mid air, when she attempted to throw it.
Dang... Well, she was a witch- wasn't she? So in that case, she would have to think of a way to make a snow ball the size of a couch and charge it at Ty... or would that hurt him?... Nah.

"We're on different teams Chase. You really can't expect me to just hand it off to you without a fight." Ty said still laughing slightly as he bent down and picked up another handful of snow.
Packing the snow into a tight ball he chucked it in the Gryffindor's direction. Only this time instead of hitting her it hit the tree with a slight thunk. Swearing loudly he picked up some more snow and packed it into an even bigger ball and threw it in her direction.

Chase was mumbling to herself, planning devious ways to throw a snowball at Ty, until a huge mound of snow, that felt as hard as a rock, came charging into her mouth. She was hardly ready for that and fell over, the snowball having so much impact. Her teeth felt as if they were about to fall out and her eyes blinded by the stinging cold snow. She screamed after the falling into the inches of white fluff. Chase tried to get up, but she couldn't! It wasn't as if she had broken anything- it was because the snow was too thick for her to stand.

Ty's aim was true that time as he watched the snowball collide with his target. "You alright," he called over to Chase as she lie there in the snow. He wondered why she wasn't getting back up on her feet and seeking revenge. Walking a little closer to where she was stuck in the snow he could see her trying to stand, but it seemed that the snow was just to much for her. "Looks like your in quite the predicament there," he said a smile forming over his face as he walked over to the girl.

"Calister!" she had a horrible feeling that he was just going to abandon her in the snow to freeze to her doom. " You better help me up." Chase wasn't in the position to be so demanding as she was. This wasn't a very nice way to ask for a favor, now was it? Although would Ty be so cold hearted as to leave her in the teeth shattering weather?
She shivered, pathetically in the snow, staring up at him.

“I better huh?” Ty said still standing there looking over her with a mild expression. Contemplating his choices at the moment. Leave her there stranded in the snow for who knows how long until someone else stubble upon her, the Slytherin thing to do, or help her up and hope that she doesn’t pull him down while she’s at it. “Lets see,” he said still just toying with her “what to do what to do.” After a couple of seconds pause as though he was thinking his choices through he continued with an evil grin turning away from her heading up toward the castle’s front doors, “I’m sure someone will stumble upon you sooner or later." He really intended on helping her up in the end but wanted to see her squirm for a bit before he did so for now he decided to act like he was just going to leave her there to freeze.

Chase was going to bite his head off and eat it when she got out of this mess. Just then, she remembered that she was a witch and could do magic. She hardly knew of any charms that would help her out of this mess but she knew of some that would pay that Calister back for abandoning her- that good for nothing Snake. Chase fumbled for her wand and felt something hard and long in her pocket... too bad, it was an old peice of beef jerky she had taken from the kitchens a month ago. After a few more moments of searching, she finally came upon her wand.
Chase wouldn't know if she would hit him, but she thought of one of the only hexes she actually knew how to perform. " Locomotor Mortis"

Continuing to walk the other way away from Chase, Ty heard her call out the hex for the leg locker curse. Cursing loudly he tried to get out of the way groping for his wand in his robes inside pocket, but to late he dodged right when he should have dodged left and was sent tumbling into the snow in front of him. Snow went spraying everwhere as Ty was engulfed in it. Luckly for him she had just gone and locked his legs together. This meant he could still get to his wand and pay the little lion back. Digging himself out of the snow he got hold of his wand and yelled "Petrificus Totalus" firing the spell in her direction.

Chase was trapped in the snow so obviously she couldn't jump around and dodge hexes. The spell hit its target almost too perfectly but it didn't make too much of a difference- she was still trapped and unable to get up. Chase growled to herself, deciding that it was stupid to hex the snake in this position.
Now what?

Ty saw that his hex had been on target. At least now the Gryffindor couldn't hex him again while he tried to remember the counter curse to the leg locker. He knew that he had read it somewhere and was pretty much up on all of the really popular counter curses, but for some reason this one he couldn't remember at the moment. It seem that when you need something the most that is when it fails you, which looked like what was going to happen here.
Propping himself into a sitting position the counter curse finally dawned on him. After mumbleing it and pointing quickly to his legs he was freed from the hex. Thank god he thought to himself wondering what would have happened if he hadn't been able to remember it. He probably would have been forced to bunny hop up to the castle to find someone that would help and if he had had to do that then he would have had to admit to hexing a first year, though it was in self defense. He didn't think that this excuse would really fly though.

Chase cursed at Ty in her head, planning on all the bad things she would do to him after she got out of this state. She hadn't really meant to hold a grudge on him because of the Quidditch thing or the snowball thing but this was way out of line. He was like- totally be mean!
She made a note to herself to learn the Densaugeo hex.
For now, she had to worry on how to get out of this mess... would someone find her? Gosh, this was NOT good...
She made a mental note to herself to learn the Furnunculus hex also.

Getting up out of the snow Ty brushed himself off and turned around in Chase's direction. Trudging through the snow he made his way over to her, a predominate smile on his face. "Hexing peoples not very nice you know. Look where its gotten you." he said with a hint of laughter in his voice. "I thought Gryffindor's were suppose to be better then that. I guess that just goes to show that everyone has an evil side to them." Ty said needling her. He was really torn between leaving her there or helping her out. Only this time it wasn't because of his need to be nice. It was to save his own butt. Help her up, but take her wand first, or leave her there and let her rat him out when someone finds her. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
