"I'm sure a lot of people would look for you." Abigail refrained from mentioning any names just in case one of the people she mentioned proved to be a "hater" of Lilian. Instead, she closed her mouth. At this rate, if Lily kept talking, Abigail would be able to get the girl to spill her problems and hopefully offer a solution.

"They did last time," Lily said. "But this time I'll go where I can't be found. But they wouldn't come looking. They don't care anymore. And now I'm homeless again. Life sucks and well you just probably hate me now don't you? Everyone does."

Abigail shook her head. "I don't hate you, so everyone can't hate you." She glanced at the fifth year again before looking back at the looming castle. "If you hid somewhere in the castle I'm sure you wouldn't be found. At least I wouldn't be able to find you. This place is huge." She gazed at the towering bricks and the high towers. It was like a fortress.

"Oh hiding in the castle I would most definately be found," Lily said. "That's the worst place to hide. Someone always finds you. Now why haven't you gone yet? You should go before I hurt you or someone else. I don't want you to be a witness when I get sent away to Azkaban for a simple, little mistake."

Abigail supressed a laugh. "I'm not stalking you. I'm just headed in the same direction. I was thinking of either looking around the third floor or heading back to the common room. Maybe take a nap before dinner." She paused, thinking whether to ask where Lilian was going or not.
"Where are you going?" She figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Maybe it could, depending on Lilian's truth to her threats, but she could always hide somewhere in the castle.

"To the kitchens," Lily said. "To get some chocolate which will, I dunno, probably make things worse! I'll probably get a stomachache or have a allergic reaction to it for the first time in my life or something like that! Because everyone and everything hates me now."

"Mmm." Chocolate sounded good, actually. "I'll feel sorry for the person who's allergic to chocolate." They reached the bottom step leading to the doors and Abby slowly ascended to the castle entrance. "You don't...want any company, do you? Chocolate sounds really good right now." The first year looked over at Lily again as she placed her hand on the door handle.

"Well I'm not the one still hanging around me am I?" Lily said. "I suppose if you like to be in the company of the world's biggest screw up and the world's most hated and the world's stupidest and the world's most incredibly awful and horrible than I suppose you could stay."

"No, I don't like being in the presence of the world's biggest screw-up, that's why I'm hanging out around here." Lame, she knew. Pulling open the heavy door, Abby welcomed the warm draft coming from the Entrance Hall. She quickly hurried into the hall, holding the door open with her foot for Lily. "I've never been to the kitchens. Where are they?" So much for being a quiet girl; the Hufflepuff didn't realize how much she was talking. Probably more than she had in the past four years.

"In the dungeons," Lily snapped. "Don't you know anything? And if you don't like being in the presence of the world's biggest screw up than why are you still here? Haven't I made myself clear? Didn't you get the newsflash? I am the world's biggest screw up and you won't find another."

She shrugged. "I haven't watched the news since I got here, actually, so I dunno. Why are you the biggest screw-up anyway? I mean, you keep bragging about it, but you haven't said what you've done to earn the title." Abby walked beside Lilian through another door and down a small set of dimly-lit stairs. After mulitple right and left turns and doors, the Huffle stopped trying to pay attention to the route; it proved to be too difficult to keep track of. If she ever wanted food, she'd have to start stealing stuff from lunch and hide it in her trunk in the dorm.
Abigail loosened her scarf and cloak; it was chilly in the dungeons, however at least not as cold as outside. She turned her eyes back to the Ravenclaw with a questioning look.

"It's not a title I'm proud of!" Lily snapped back. "You're making it seem like a victory wreath! I've done the most stupid stuff in the world and yet I thought here was my fresh start but apparently I've screwed up every friendship I've ever had, which isn't many because before I was born I was screwed up!"

"What've you done that's so stupid?" She was very curious by now after all the ranting and yelling and snapping Lily had done. Her voice still remained quiet despite the Ravenclaw's sound levels; people who knew her knew Abby didn't talk loudly; she didn't yell, scream, or anything of the sort. Abigail followed Lilian to the right once more, her eyes finally adjusted to the dimness of the cave-like dungeons.

"Everything!" Lily said. "And mostly stuff I can't tell you! And won't tell you! And wouldn't tell you in a million years! Those things are me and they're private but I can tell you they're an awful big mess. An awful, awful, big mess!" She hmmph and her curls fell into her face. She blew on them making horse like noises.

Abby nodded, of course understanding the Raven's position. She allowed for a moment of silence to pass before saying anything else, her eyes moving along the cracks of the stone walls and floor. "Everybody makes mistakes," she murmured almost so that she couldn't hear it herself. A slight tinge of sadness tinted her voice, but nothing a person would notice. Looking straight ahead, the Hufflepuff noticed a random painting of a bowl of fruit. Random because every other painting had either a witch, wizard, or some magical creature in it. Following Lilian to the portrait, she quirked an eyebrow. "Why'd you stop?" Abigail looked up and down the hall they were in, ears picking up drifting voices from the silence that surrounded them.
She looked back at the portrait. A bowl with apples, pears, oranges, bananas, peaches, and grapes. What was the big deal about it?
