Jeremy gave her a nervous smile, wondering if she was going to make fun of him for knowing so much about Muggle things. That was the problem being half and half. The Muggle kids thought you were weird and the magical kids never thought you were good enough.
"Ever use a Portkey?" he asked trying to keep clear of Muggle things. "Those are a lot better than flooing. You can still get dizzy, but you don't end up as dirty."

Hannah shook her head, "I can't say I have ever used a portkey" Hannah told Jeremy truthfully, as far back as she could remember Hannah had only ever flooed everywhere. "I mean, the only places I have ever needed to go to was school and my Mom's place here in London and my Dad's place in Australia and they've both got access to the floo network" Hannah shrugged, smiling back at Jeremy, thinking he was okay for a boy.

"They're a lot better than flooing. You still get dizzy, but you don't get as dirty." Did he already say that? He thought he might have, but he wasn't sure what else to say on the subject. So he resorted to bragging. "My Uncle works with Magical transportation so we get one whenever we want." Of course, he knew that it was just a spell that even his mom knew, but he didn't feel the need to say that part.

"Really?, Wow, I'll have to come with you and try one some time" Hannah said, clearly impressed with Jeremy's contacts. "So what were you doing here in the first place?, besides sitting in the middle of the aisle" Hannah asked Jeremy, picking up her books and putting them in her lap.

"Being bored..." Jeremy answered with a shrug. "We were getting my books and things for school but then my mom started in on the baby books for my sister and dad got sidetracked in the quidditch section. I'm just waiting for them until I can go."

"So you decided to wait for them in the middle of the aisle?" Hannah replied back, giving Jeremy another smile, actually, Hannah thought that was a very good plan, at least people might take notice if someone was sitting in the middle of a aisle.

"It didn't seem busy much," Jeremy answered and of course, it hadn't been until she showed up and tripped over him. Truth was he was wondering how long it was before he was actually missed. What might really be interesting is to get lost and then see if his parents got worried. hmmm...

Hannah stood up, putting the two books under her arms as she did so, deciding it was time she ought to go and pay for her books. "Well, I'm just going to go and pay for these books now...you can come if you want" Hannah offered, flashing Jeremy a small smile. "We could go and get an ice cream or something, if your parents wouldn't mind you leaving them" Hannah added as an after thought, she had been in the stuffy old bookshop for awhile and a ice cream sounded good to her at the moment.

Jeremy blinked nervously when she smiled, not sure why he suddenly felt a little light headed. "Okay..." he agreed, getting up from the floor and dusting himself off. His parents wouldnt' mind if he didn't tell them, right?

"Great!" Hannah's smile brightening even more when Jeremy agreed to go and get an ice cream with her. "I'll just go and pay for these books and then we could go" Hannah said, walking over to the counter and handing the lady her books and money, the lady giving Hannah back her books in a bag.
"Are you ready to go?" Hannah asked, walking back over to Jeremy and giving him another smile, "You're parent's don't mind you leaving them?" Hannah inquired, she hoped his parent's didn't mind Jeremy leaving them, it would give her a chance to get to know him a bit better.
