"Reasonable," she replied with a sweet smile to Corey. Of course, there really wasn't much one could do in Daigon except shop. Or meet up with friends. Or, in Felicity's case, literally run into a person and find out their name and that they'd be likely to meet up again in the nearer future as they'd be going to the same school. The conversation had gone from where it had come to being rather routine.
"So, leading back," she smiled at both, "It seems I have a knack for meeting quidditch players. Are you guys any good at it?" Of course, presuming she was correct that they played for their Houses, they'd have to be good, right? Her light brown eyes showed the interest she felt for the sport she didn't really know.

Ah the age old question that Mike hated answering, when it came to Quidditch he didn't really like to talk himself up, not like a certain Slytherin pip-squeak. So this was an opportunity to take the high road and rather than comment on his own playing he would rather talk up Corey's skill on the pitch.
"Well, Corey here is an awesome player, got a good head for the game you know, leads by example"
He said with a grin on his face, his words were as he saw them the truth, he did think Corey was a great player and definitely had a good head for the game.

Watching Mike, watching anyone for that matter, pass over the chance to gloat about one's abilities is always an odd thing to watch, but he'd go along with it. "Oh come on Mike give yo'rself some credit. All I do is catch a bloody ball. I hardly even have to move. I'd be willing to bet three galleons that if it came down to it you're the better flier." Corey countered, grinning from ear to ear. Mike's compliment was a small ego boost, yes, but in reality, he played because he enjoyed it. He had no real plans of going Pro, in fact, he had no real plans at all. He needed to remedy that and very soon too.
"What about you Felicity, you like to play, or prefer to watch?" Corey questioned, not knowing which house she'd be in, it he'd rather know at least a bit about her skill level. Especially considering she had come into a quidditch shop. Not many did such for no reason.

A grin found its way over Felicity's lips as both boys decided to up the other on their skill over gloating about their own. It was interesting to see how certain people chose to react to questions about themselves; actually it told a lot about the person to the questioner. Not only did she conclude they must both be good players, as neither seemed to betray otherwise by facial expressions or with their eyes; but she concluded to that point they were both good characters. Of course, the question was returned, but she didn't have any experience with the sport.
"Actually," she smiled a bit awkwardly. "I've never played. Nor have I ever seen it played." Now it was time for the incredulous stares to start. If she'd had a choice, she would have played years ago; Felicity was fairly good with sports, but they'd all been sports played on the ground before. Time would tell if she was any good in the air.

"Well then perhaps Corey and myself could teach you when we get back to Hogwarts"
He said flashing a grin to Felicity and then to Corey, he really didn't know why he hadn't taken the time to get to know Corey in the past because he was a great bloke and if Mike ever had the chance to pick players whom he would want on his team he would definitely take Corey as his keeper.

People were so interested in making sure she knew the sport. She'd aleady had an offer before then to be taught by a younger Slytherin boy, but she didn't mind having extra help. Besides it would be fun, and she'd get to know everyone a bit better and she'd learn quidditch as well.
"As long as I get a first training in with another friend of mine first," she grinned. Although she hadn't given Corey time to reply, she hoped he'd help her learn too. Artemis had told her he played seeker, and she knew she didn't have the normal build for the position, but he'd also offered to teach her the other positions as well as possible. "But I'd be grateful," she ended with a mile-wide grin.

Mike smiled, but in the back of his head wondered to himself whom this friend of hers could of been, mostly females came to his mind and perhaps Drew. How wrong he was, but he wouldn't find out because did he really need to know.
No.
"That's cool, but trust me.....we won't expect too much from our first training session.....but then again you may suprise us"
He said with a playful wink

(Sorry guys.)
"Aye, I think that's arrangable, heck maybe even a non-compettition practice match Mike? Badgers and Lions on the pitch, no ref but keep it clean, y'think that's doable, it would take practice to a whole new level." The seventh year eplied, half thinking out loud. Everyone practiced on the pitch, using an end, or the entire thing, but practice was never the same unless you actually had something to challange you. Though, for some the challange laid in flying itself.
Quidditch, was interesting it was fun, and most importantly it was challanging and compettitive. Not to say he didn't do well in academics, or didn't try hard, oh now. It was just really hard to be academically compettitive when your only challange was yourself. One tended to get lazy that way.

"Well yeah, but I guess we would have to talk to both the captains about it, but hey i'm sure Krissy would be up for it and I sure am"
He said with a grin to both Corey and Felicity. This could turn out to be quite a good year for relations between the two houses, solidifying the already strong bonds between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor.

"Could be," Felicity happily replied to Michael's comment. It'd be grande if she was a natural at the sport, but she wanted to put the hard work and effort into it, mostly so she could say she worked to be good (if she ever turned out to be good), but also because it'd mean much more to the blond if she had to work at it. When Corey added that he'd be willing to help her out, she almost wanted to hug him. That guaranteed her three people, all from different Houses.
"What about others outside of the Houses?" Felicity interrupted quietly. It would have been even better if the idea was expanded to allow others to join in on the fun. Of course, she'd have been more than grateful to just see a match in play even if she didn't get the chance to participate, but what about everyone else? She was sure other teams and even just other students would want in.

Touche. Why not? There could be no sharing of tactics if they all pulled their own stunts. Though, this would be something to talk to all the quidditch captains about now, and personally Corey was looking for less red tape. But, it was...doable. "Aye, I suppose it's obtainable, a bit more red tape than I'd like but, I'll argue it best I can with the team captains...whoever they are." Corey's eyes shifted again, away from the duo and off among the shelves for a moment. No real purpose except for a brief change of scenery to remind him of where he actually was.
With roughly a month to go before term, he was most edgy to simply fast forward time and get it done, or at least get to the beginning of it. As incomprehndable as the thought might be--he actually missed lessons.

True, it would have caused more havoc by allowing all Houses a chance, but wasn't it better in the end? Less discriminatory, people wouldn't be able to walk around saying it was a chance to show friendship between certain people. Better to be prepared for the worse of things at the beginning than to have to deal with it all at the end.
"Would the captains really want to deny their players the chance to show off their skill? It would be weird if they did, don't you think?" Felicity believed it was doable, even if she didn't know barely anyone and if she didn't really know the castle. Of course, with all of the things floating around in the news that she'd been able to catch bits and pieces of there was the chance those in charge at Hogwarts wouldn't be quite so keen on the idea.

"I doubt the captians would object, I'm more worried about personal rivalries on the pitch...inter-house competition is one thing, it happens every season, but last year some of the games got...more than alittle heated." Corey replied with ahalf smile. It was one of those moments where yes, heated games changed the norm, but they usually resulted in negativity. Hence, a torn concious between whther they were good or bad.
"Hey...Mike, your brain still on or did you go mute in the past few minutes? Say something mate." Corey chided, giving the boy a brief glance.
(crappy post...Mike, get yourself back in here!)
