The wand maker smirked as he watched Alexander personalize his new hostler. With the way that he and his mother had talked earlier, Nick expected the student to be rather clumsy with magic, despite his earlier performance to prove that he could indeed do magic.
"Nice," Nick commented, softly, turning his head to see the silver initials.
When the teenager announced that the hostler he was holding was definitely the one he wanted, Nick slid the box out of the way, across the counter, and nearly missed knocking down the display of wand polishing kits. Smiling, he brightly said, "well alright then... very good."

"Indeed," Patricia said getting out her change purse filled with her money. As she searched through her coins, Alexander took no time in putting on the new holster and trying it out. The silver and black went great with his green robes, and as he thought about it he almost wished he was in Slytherin, just so he could fit the part in clothing. He smiled and looked back at Nick and stuck out his hand for the wand maker to shake it. "Thanks again for everything, sir. It was a pleasure meeting you."
Patricia hadn't even noticed really the magic or how flawless Alexander had carved the initials onto his new holster. Alexander had always been good at magic, performed by accident or otherwise. In school, was when he suffered and even though Patricia couldn't explain it, it was all up to Alexander. It was a mind over matter thing that only he could understand. And no matter how skilled he actually was at performing magic, his grades would never show it because he found it useless to him. That was for now, any ways.

Nick titled his head slightly and watched as Alexander tried out his new wand hostler. The student looked very natural; had Nick not just heard his story, he would have never believed that the teenager didn't want to live a Wizarding life. The wand maker still had issues wrapping his head around it... living in the Wizarding world was so much better than living in the Muggle world... right?
Then, the teenager stuck out his hand for Nick to shake. Smiling broadly, the wand maker took the hand in his own and shook it. "It was no problem helping you. It was nice to meet you, too."
Just as he finished his sentence, Alexander's mother handed him several coins which Nick identified as sickles. Looking down, he quickly counted them, before dropping them in the drawer where he kept his money. "Thank you," he said, softer than usual.
