The front door to the old caretaker's hut was unlocked, but everything else in the Magizoology classroom was closed up tight, stuffy even with the slight spring chill in the air outside. No window was open, no cupboard ajar... and no professor was in sight. The charts that had been pinned to the wall and the message on the board were the only hints that a lesson was planned to take place in the room. The stillness in the small hut would possibly be maddening to the first student to arrive that afternoon.
On the chalkboard, in Professor Davenport's large and loopy writing, a simple request: Please keep the windows closed and shut the door tightly after you enter. Thank you.
Any student who could not comply would pay the price.

Henry walked across the grounds, the day was overcast, and the air had a pleasant chill upon it. As a cool breeze blew up behind him, he pulled his robes more tightly around himself, continuing down toward the wooden hut where their class was to take place. Magizoology was one of Henry's favorite classes, he was good with animals, but his had never, for one reason or other, had any pets. He walked up the three or so stairs outside the front door of the hut, and entered cautiously.
The moment he stepped inside, the sheer silence of the place accosted his senses even worse then a din would have done. The place had all the trappings of an area set for learning, but without the main ingredient, the Professor. Henry's eyes swept the blackboard in one, and he quickened his pace into the tiny place, shutting the door as securely as he could after entering. He looked around; The whole place was filled, as usual, with desks, and chairs, charts, and books; No evidence remained of the Half-Giant which Henry knew had once lived there. He took a seat at his favorite desk in the corner, and waited.

Drew sprinted across the grounds to the old caretaker's hut on the edge of the forest. He wsn't really in any sort of rush and he knew he was actually a bit early, but the day was just too nice not to run. His backpack secured over his shoulders, he swished through the tall grasses, his long legs pumping at top speed so the wind would hit his face.
As he reached the old hut, he slowed down and whooped loudly, noticing there was no one there yet. He collapsed on the steps and waited for the others, not even bothering to see if the door was unlocked. If the hut was closed up, it usually meant they were outside for the lesson.

Connor yawned slightly as he descended the stairs, knwoing that today's care of magical creatures lesson was sure to be a long one. He hadn't slept well the previous night as he had been hurrying to finish up an assignment that needed to be finished up for another class. He had finished the essay and turned it in alright, but now he was wishing that he would have slept more. He walked at a decent pace, careful not to trip over his feet or his robes as he moved along, trying to remember what todays lesson would be on...
It took a moment or so of trying to recall, but finally he did and remembered that today they would be taking a look at the snidget. As the Prefect neared the hut he tried to decide if they would be inside or outside for class and arrived at the conclusion of inside. If it would take place out doors then the snidgets were likely to escape, and Professor Davenport probably wouldn't be too fond of that idea.
He looked to the door of the hut, and instead saw Drew sitting on the steps. Connor didn't say anything as he passed the seventh year, only nodded in his general direction before quickly letting himself into the old hut to see Henry already seated and ready for class. He sat himself down at a desk somewhere in the front and sunk down into his chair slightly, not minding the wait. It would most certainly give him a chance to relax a bit before the lesson started.

Taking her time to get down to class, Felicity closed her eyes and took slow breaths, just taking the changes in. The year was getting closer to winding down, summer was looming just ahead, and it meant her time with Drew was more precious than anything else at this point. Unfortunately he had to study for exams so they couldn't just relax at any point in time at the drop of a hat and just do whatever. And though she didn't mind just sitting quietly with him while he studied, she also knew it didn't last very long on her part because she couldn't help staying quiet for long.
Opening her eyes Felicity spotted Connor entering the classroom, but Drew lounging outside on the steps and she picked up her pace so she could spend a few minutes with him before class. "Hi," she drawled out, nudging his foot with her own before dropping her bag and taking a seat at his feet. "So, why are you out here if Connor just went in?"
Tilting her head back so she could look at him, Felicity smiled wishing they didn't really have class right then. Even if it was one of her favourites.

Drew smirked at Connor as he passed, but said nothing. He had been tempted to shout out something slightly rude, but figured that wouldn't help matters any. The guy was a friend of Felicity's as well as Celina's so the Ravenclaw thought he should probably try not to to pummel the guy's face anymore.
His mood, while not necessarily bad at the arrival of Connor, still lightened considerably at the sight of the pretty blonde Gryffindor. As she ran up to him he danced in his seat, grinning as she sat down on the step below him.
"Waiting for you," he answered as he leaned over her and kissed her on the forehead. True, he had originally thought the class was outside, but once Connor had proven the door was open, Drew figured he'd rather wait for his girlfriend than sit in the classroom with the Slytherin.

"Shoot!" Sophia's bright red heels sunk into the muck and mud of the outdoors. It was true that there indeed was a dress code at Hogwarts, but she didn't see any problem with wearing exciting shoes. The red did bring out the other Gryffindor colors embedded in the uniform, and it looked nice. Accessorizing surely wasn't punishable...right?
The young girl groaned as she yanked her leg from the brownish goo. Her red heels were now caked with mud, speckled with the occasional grass blade. That wasn't going to stop her from getting to class, though. She persistently trudged on, her purse and books hanging loosely from her arms. She approached the little cabin, still huffing a bit. She didn't realize how horrible it would be to trek the grounds in heels. Mental note: never again. She thought miserably as she spotted Felicity and Drew. She smiled faintly before making her way up the stairs. She made sure to try and wipe the mess off of her shoes before entering.
Everything in the room was shut up, and the chalkboard advised her to close the door. She spotted Connor and decided to sit near him. She took a chair to the left of the Slytherin and put her things down noiselessly.
"Hey you." She nudged Connor in the arm. "Why so sleepy?"

He had to work to stifle his yawn as he looked around the room, propping his head up with his hand as he leaned against the table slightly. His eyelids slowly fell and Connor allowed himself to rest for a few seconds, drifting off slightly both into his thoughts and into sleep.
The Slytherin briefly recognized the sound of the door opening and closing and wondered who it was. After a second or two of thought he decided that he wasn't all that interested to know, so he kept his eyes closed and drifted off slightly once again. That was, until he felt someone nudge his arm, which in turn slipped off of the desk, causing his head to snap up slightly as he looked around, a little confused. The nudge had been a small one, but as he wasn't really prepared for it, it had felt a bit more forceful than it actually was.
" Haven't really slept that well lately. And you, why so cheery? " She hadn't exactly been cheery, but in his still slightly sleepy state he had assumed that cheeriness was the opposite of sleepiness. It was up in the air.

She wasn't prepared to see Connor's head roll off the desk and snap; he must've been extremely tired.
" Haven't really slept that well lately. And you, why so cheery? "
"I guess I'm always cheery and optimistic. Even though I basically just drowned in mud, I'm excited to see what a Snidget is. Actually, I'm more excited that I got here on time," she said reflectively. "I'm sorry that you're not getting enough sleep. At least we're almost done here and you can sleep soundly in your own bed soon," she said dreamily, thinking about her own comfy canopy bed in her room at home.
Home. In a couple of months, she'd be home. It was almost incomprehensible for her to think about leaving the castle, her friends...everything. She'd go home and see her family and her best friend Ava. It seemed unreal.

A huge grin slipped over her lips and she giggled up at Drew. He was so adorable at times it made her easily understand why she had heard so many things in the loos about him before. He was so sweet and cute and she was glad he loved her like she did him. Drew made some things extremely easy, and she absolutely loved him for being careful with her and going as slow as he did with her about things.
One of the girls in her house walked by and Felicity smiled tentatively at the girl, but she didn't know her very well, other than her name was...Sasha? Something like that. Letting her eyes glance over at Drew, she rose an eyebrow at him, wondering the real reason why he was outdoors and not inside.
"Should we go inside?" she asked. Though, she did rather like the outdoors weather, even if it was slightly chilly.

"We probably should," Drew answered, looking over his shoulder at the closed door and then to the wrist watch she had given him on his last birthday. Now the he knew the room was open, he wasn't sure if Davenport was inside or not and while he really didn't want to be late forclass, he knew the woman started almost exactly on the bell. "We still have a little time," he told her, thinking they might as well enjoy the spring day. Even if they misjudged the time and scrambled in as soon as the clock struck the hour, he was pretty sure they'd make it into their seats before Davenport counted them tardy.

When he gave her two different, contradictory answers, the blonde wrinkled her nose up at him and grabbed at his wrist gently so she could look at the time as well. They didn't have too long, but at least a little bit of time that they could manage to steal away from everyone else without too much of a problem.
Sinking back against him, the blonde linked her fingers with his and closed her eyes. She loved this class, though Davenport was a little odd sometimes. "Do you know what were studying today, love?" she mumbled quietly, waiting for him to tell her when it was time to go inside for class. "Something interesting I hope."
Though, Davenport was pretty good about making things interesting.

He loved it when she grabbed his wrist to check his watch and he loved it when she called him 'love' even if he knew she used that term on a number of people. She settled back into him and he wrapped his arms around her, finding it a perfect way to enjoy the spring day in the few moments they had before class.
"I didn't check," he answered her as he leaned his head on hers. "I'm assuming it's something smaller if we're inside. You're supposed to have the inside scoop on this class, so you should be telling me, aren't you?"

Delilah had woke up in the Common Room, a novel laying on the ground. She couldn't believe her luck, not even getting a good nights sleep before classes, and now she looked like a nut case. She was worried she had slept in, so she grabbed whatever books were close by, and walked hurriedly out of the under water common room. As she walked, her usually bouncy curls were just a mop of messy brown-ness. She didn't even want to look in a mirror right now... She was afraid of scaring herself.
At least she was looking forward to today's lesson. She adored this class, but she wouldn't let anyone ever know that. As she approached the hut in wrinkled robes, she tripped over her own two feet, sending her books scattering everywhere. Lovely... She thought to herself, scrambling to get them all back in her arms, seeing as she forgot her book bag. After collecting herself, she stood up once again, and walked up to the hut. She smiled at the students outside, probably only making her dillusional appearance worse, but she tried.
The small girl entered quietly, and shut the door behind her. She coughed quietly, hoping it wouldn't stay this quiet for long. She spotted both Connor and Sophia and grinned, forgetting about her appearance. She walked up to them and took the seat next to Sophia, so she was now in the middle of the two Slytherins. Delilah dropped her books next to her and looked at the two, "Hey strangers." She said. Poor Delilah... She really did look like she escaped from a nut house.

"Delilah? Is everything okay?"
Sophia was certain that it was her friend, but she wasn't sure what had happened to her. She looked completely...well...a mess. Her hair was disheveled and her robes were covered in wrinkles. She looked like perhaps she woke up later than expected or something. Maybe she was sick?? No, she looked completely healthy, and sort of happy. She tilted her head, trying to figure out what was going on with the snake, and then looked to Connor for an answer. They were both Slytherins...maybe it was one of those House things?
