A dreary day of boredom brought about the one thing that Guy despised most - writing letters. In the world of muggle technology the nineteen year old despised having to wait around for a letter to arrive, then take the time to write back. He preferred more technologically advanced ways of communication, but his mother insisted on snail mail as Guy called it. She said it made the letters more personal... Either way, though, he hated the chore. After spending an hour or two writing to various aunts and cousins in the States, he decided to write to someone a bit randomly... His big messy script filled the page quickly. He pushed the letter into an envelope and quickly sent it off with his owl, knowing he would change his mind if he thought about it any more. Tianne - So... hi. This is random. Errrr. Oh, this is Guy. Styles... just in case you didn't know. Anyway... I was just writing letters to people and I decided to write one to you, I hope that's alright. I was just thinking of how I graduated and all before we got to know each other that well. and uh, yeah... how are you? Still raising hell as a prefect? Gone for any polar bear swims lately? haha. anyways, yeah... hope you're well. Best - GuyStyles

Tianne didn't often receive mail. Not from her old friends, not from her family, she only received the quota one letter a week with her care package from home. Sometimes she got something special, but most of the time when she sent a letter, she never received a reply. It wasn't from dislike, it was just from the fact that everyone she wrote to had the unfortunate thing called a life. So when Tianne received a letter, she was quite surprised at both the sender and the message that was within the envelope. Guy. Wow, its been a long time, hasn't it? Of course i'd remember you! I had only known you for half a year or so before you left, i wish id started getting to know you earlier. Yeah, I've still got the badge, but things aren't as fun as they were when you were here. I would have gone polar swimming, but i've got no one to go with. Besides, it wouldn't be the same without you in your boxer shorts. Orange with snitches, eh? Thanks for the randomness! I hope to hear from you again soon? - Tianne

The reply came quickly much to Guy's surprise. He hadn't been expecting a response back at all, figuring that Tianne would be too busy with school and her friends and... maybe even a boyfriend, to sit down and write back to an old friend. It just so happened that the letter came to him while he was working at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. He quickly read the letter with a slight smile, then returned to work for the next couple of hours. --- Later that evening he sat down and wrote back... Oh Prefect of Ravenclaw, Yeah, I just wasn't sure. You've probably met so many other boys running around in their boxers, I didn't think you'd remember. haha. Here... I'm sending a gift of sorts with this letter, I hope it doesn't explode. You never struck me as a trouble maker, but it's never too late to start... Ha, orange with snitches that is correct. I'm pretty sure I still have those boxers somewhere... but I haven't been polar bear swimming much lately. Work has sort of taken over... plus I don't think any of my new ' mature ' friends would be willing to get all frozen and wet. Personally, it's the thrill of it. - Guy
He got a bigger envelope this time and folded the letter into it, then placed a small box filled with miniature fireworks from the shop he worked at. The fireworks were small sized, but the joke of them was what they lacked in size they made up for in volume. It would be a kick for whoever Tianne decided to shock, if she decided to.

In her whole life, Tianne wasn't sure if she had ever been so excited to get a reply from someone. She hated waiting for a letter to return, but, as she always told herself, this letter would be worth the wait. It may seem silly of the girl, but when she had first met Guy, she had the biggest crush on him. Yeah, he was a few years older than her, but a girl could dream, couldn't she? Tianne only wished that she had gotten to know him better; for some reason, she didn't get to learn much while they were polar swimming. Smiling as her mind rehashed all of her memories with the boy, she grinned as her owl flew in the window. Letter time! As she opened the envelope, she couldn't help but giggle at her 'gift'. Only Guy would have sent something like that. Immediately, her mind started exploring through her brain, trying to figure out who she would scare. There were a few that stood out in particular, but that would have to wait. She had a letter to write. Mr. Music Man Eh, boys these days. For some reason they've taken to wearing clothes. I really dont know where they got THAT idea from. I love my 'gift'. There's a few people that i've got in mind to give a good scare. Seems that I have good memory, eh, Mr. Orange Boxers? Tell me about it. Work is so annoying. Well, school is annoying, I can only imagine that work would be worse. I promise to go polar swimming with you the next time I see you, okay? - Tianne. Fast asleep in his not so comfortable couch of a bed, Guy was unknowning of the reply. That morning he woke with a start, feeling the claws of a disgruntled owl diggign into his arm. " Gerrof meh! " He rubbed the spot where the owl had tried to claw him, swearing under his breath. Finally connecting the dots and realizing that he must have a letter or something waiting for him. He rolled off of the cough with an ' oomph ' and grabbed the letter, leaning up against the couch in a sitting position as he read. He grinned, already able to recognize the script of the sixteen year old girl, he was a bit saddened that she was still in school but there wasn't much he could do about it. Girl in Blue, They're wearing clothes? REALLLY? The nerve... kids these days just need to wizen up and stop wearing pants. They'll feel great, I swear... You should scare a friend... I've found that strangers are not so cool with being scared. Especially by random fireworks. And you're welcome. Good memory, sure. I seem to recall you blushing up a storm while in the presence of my magnificent orange boxers. ; ) haha yeah. once you get school over and done with you start work. It's not that bad, though... I work at the Weasley place in Diagon and do my music when I'm not working, so all in all it's a nice existence. You pinky promise? What if I see you in Diagon randomly? Then what? Regardless, I look forward to polar bear swimming. : ) - Music Man
Was he... flirting? Via LETTER? He was a mad man. Oh, well... He folded the letter and put it in an envelope, sealing it and sent it off.

Entering the common room, Tianne flopped down on one of the many chairs that surrounded the fire. It had been a long day, one without too much laughter, smiles and fun. She felt like she needed something to make her feel better, something to brighten her day. Smiling at the people that walked past to the common room, she let her eyes close, before shaking her head and sitting up properly. "Tianne...? Tianne." A young second said, prodding her on the shoulder. "...Yeah?" Tianne said, startled by the girl, though there was a smile on her face. As she follwed the girl upstairs, she saw that there was an owl sitting on her bed. Immediately she jumped at it, and took the letter, knowing full well that there was only one person that this could be from. The boy that used to wear red. I was thinking about scaring Matty. I'm pretty sure that she'd get surprised by it. Maybe Jeremy, but he's new, and I'm all he's got, so I don't him to get moody. Who would have thought that pants would make a comeback into the fashion stakes? Personally, there's only a couple of guys that I'd tolerate seeing without pants. ;] I was fifteen. I was immature. Of course i'd blush! It seems that you've got the job of jobs. Working at the Weasley place is like everyones dream. And you play music on the side. My parents are trying to get me into a summer internship at the ministry. Personally, ew. I pinky promise, as long as you do. - Ms. Webster Barrett. [/blockquote][/i]

Upon entering the living room he looked around, his hands in his pockets. The only thing he could see was walls and boxes. Neither of which were very interesting, the walls a plain shade of white, and the boxes sort of sad looking stacked up randomly with where they belonged written in black sharpie. It was getting late already and really he just wanted to sleep... it was a shame that he hadn't started unpacking sooner from the afternoon of moving. Guy slid down on the futon - his one and only piece of sitting furniture - and let his eyes fall shut. Tap, tap, tap. Guy thought it was someone knocking at the door, so he immediately jumped up and walked the short distance to the entryway, opening the door once he reached it. Of course there was nothing, which just confused him. He turned around and noticed a fluttering thing outside of his window. Huh? " Oh! " He had forgotten about the letter he was expecting from Tianne due to all the packing, repacking and moving business. Once he read the letter he pulled over a bar stool to the counter and wrote back. T, Matty would be a good person to scare... I imagine you'd get a good reaction from her. Maybe in a group setting so you can get matty and this jeremy fellow? oh yeah? I guess they'd have to be pretty special and or wear orange boxers with snitches on them, eh? ; ) you was immature? meaning you're not now? - snicker - just kidding. I'm sure you're immature and responsible. sortof. oh yeah.. it's great. like playing in a toy factory all the time. sometimes I test out the products for fun. it's not always as good of an idea as it sounds. The ministry? that sounds terrible. Tell them you're running away to the circus, that'll put them in their place. hey, guess what! I'm writing this from my own apartment. My very own apartment. cool, eh? I don't know if you know how sacred a pinky promise is, but yes, I pinky promise. - guy

Ever since she was an eleven year old girl, Tianne had waited and looked forward to her care package from her family. Every fortnight, she would wait for the gift that she would recieve, it was somewhat like clockwork. But ever since she had started recieving these letters from Guy, she had found herself not caring so much about the present, but more what was written in the boys letter. It seemed so much more like a chore to write the thankyou letter back to her parents, as she had grown used to writing to Guy, where she could flirt, she could joke, and she could enjoy writing. Guy - The only problem with scaring Matty is that she would more than likely get me back for it. You know, make me pay. But still the look on her face... I'd just have to make sure I had a camera ready. Pretty much ; ) But hey, ive grown up a lot since you left. Mind you, I'm still 5'1", I haven't actually physically grown. Yet. I'm hoping that I'm going to have a growth spurt or something. That way I can stop looking up to everyone. : P I've always dreamt of being the tightrope walker. :] I'll have to come and visit you in the holidays. You know, check out the homebase. haha, I suck. A pinky promise is the most sacred thing in the world. As long as you stamp it. - Tianne

Due to the fact that Guy was now spending time writing letters to Tianne, he found that he was writing more letters than before. He didn't think of it as a chore so much to have to write to his mom or even his dad. It was a bit of a joke to write letters to his dad seeing as how they saw each other frequently, but it was the premise of the thing. Writing to Tianne made letter not so bland and boring, even if he did have to read his mother's rambling thoughts about whatever her topic of the day was. He didn't mind it, because he would be expecting a letter of different sorts.... you, oh, revenge can be tricky. if the situation does arise, I might be able to help you out in that department... ; ) revenge, while it can be tricky, can also be very very sweet if done properly. you're a grand total of five one? that's... cute. : ) that just means that I would tower over you. sorry, I'll just be one more person you'll have to look up to. haha. good luck on the growth spurt, though... tightrope walker? D'you have a deathwish or something? speaking of death wish... I met Ivy Xin the other day. Made me jump off a building with her. Crazy woman. Yeah, you should, it's a nice place. Uh... it could use a bit of redecoration, though, it's kinda bland... why do you suck? I'm glad you feel the same way in the code of the pinky promise. - me

"Tianne. You got a letter. I left it on your bed, I hope you don't mind." An older boy told the girl, as she smiled with delight. She knew who the letter would be from, and as sad as it was, she really wanted to see what he had written to her. Tianne couldn't believe that she had let it go for so long without getting back in touch with the boy. He wasn't even near her, but he was the only person that could make her laugh lately, the only person that could make her smile, and actually mean it. Mr. Styles Will you now? Let's just hope the teachers dont figure out that you're sending me fireworks. I may have to dob you in, being a goody-goody and all. How tall are you? like, six foot? It's not my fault my mum was short. Lucky me, I got her height. My younger sister is already five six. How is that fair? And I'm a very cute person, lets just face it. Jump off a building? Do I really want to ask about it? Sheesh. when you say bland... is that a euphemism? You are a teenage boy, remember. And I've seen teenage boys rooms, let alone their own house. But thats excellent! Living alone, that must be a lot of fun. :] - Miss Webster-Barrett

Between work, the continued process of unpacking, and the time he spent doing his music and attempting to form up a full band, Guy barely had time for much else. He found that he didn't stop at the pubs for a drink or two after work, but went straight home and got to work. He was thankful that he had remember a silencing charm for walls, that way he wouldn't disturb his neighbor too much with his constant guitar playing, drumming and singing. He found himself writing more music as of late rather than just experimenting with sound as he usually did, a sign that he was getting more serious about things. And he already had someone lined up to come and jam next week, maybe start up this whole band thing he'd been dreaming about. This particularly morning he had off from work, so he spent working out the tabs for a new song he was writing. His owl swooped in from the open window and Guy stopped what he was doing just to read and reply to the letter. Miss Tianne, Oh no, the awful contraband! Just be sneaky about it and you'll have no worries. ; ) that is... if you can be sneaky? haha. Six foot one inch, to be exact. So I'm a whole foot taller than you. wow. maybe you'll have that growth spurt you've been wanting? But you'd be okay without the added height, as you said, you are a very cute person. You might think I'm kidding about the building thing, but really, I'm not. She grabbed on to me and practically made me. It was ridiculous. haha, no... bland as in like, ' I've got three pieces of furniture and the walls need painting. ' and I don't know anything about colors, just that they're there. it's sort of fun. weird to get used to. : ) so any major events happening up at Hogwarts soon? - Guy

Something that Tianne found to always kill time was running. She liked running, she liked to stay fit, and it made the time pass quicker. As she reached the rocks next to the lake, Tianne decided that it was time to go back to her common room; if she had worked it out correctly, and Guy was keeping the pattern that he had made, she should be getting a letter sometime that day. Besides, it was starting to get chilly, as the sun began to set, and Tianne was set on not getting bitten by mosquitoes. As she ran up the many stairs to her dormitory, Tianne sat down on her bed and untied her shoes. As she reached for the box that she kept all of her letters in, she heard a rap on the windows. She had been right about the whole pattern thing, as she opened her window to let the owl in, opened the letter, and began to write her reply. Guy - I can't promise anying, but I can try Okay, um, wow. You're a whole foot taller. I feel really really small. There's a couple of second years that are my height. And that sucks. My mums short, and i take after her, so i very much doubt it. She's still an inch taller than me though, so i guess there's still hope. Thats crazy. Seriously. Haha, did you die? : P Aww, okay. Maybe i'll have to help you with your color schemes. Though I'm a ravenclaw, and we're not really creative at all. But two brains is better than one, ehh? Hogwarts is really quite boring nowadays. People don't really like to talk much, like they used to. Nothing's happen at the moment, everyones afk, all the people that organise the stuff. how's your music/band? - Tee

Guy, whether he had acknowledged it or not, was looking forward to the letters more than he had originally thought he would. He was always excited to read the next one, then to sit down and think about what to write back. Writing back was always a bit difficult for him, he didn't know what was too much to say or what was okay and what wasn't. He always figured it out on his own, but he couldn't help but wonder about the whole correspondence. Nevertheless, his pondering thoughts didn't stop him from enjoying it. Tianne, A whole foot, yup. I'm sure you're not as small as five one sounds. ouch, second years? That has to be a blow to the ole ego. ; ) an inch? Well growing one more inch would be better than... not growing one more inch? Sorry I can't relate, I've always been the tall gangly one. I thought I was going to die. luckily, I didn't. Close call though... and even for a thrill seaker like myself I don't think it'll be a repeat experience. haha. would you ever do something that crazy? you don't have to be creative, you just have to be a girl, and luckily you are. : P I don't know what would go with what... it's too complicated for my male brain to think about. boring, no way? It must be because I left. ha, just kidding... seriously though you should have a party or something. Make 'em socialize with you. or else. ; ) music / band = goodness. I'm supposed to jam with a guy next week to see if he wants to join my one man band. ha, it sounds pathetic, and it sortof is, but I'm hoping expansion will happen soon. best, - guy

Guy, I don't really care if the top half of my body is little, I just want long legs. Not these short little stocky things that I've got. One more inch would mean the world to me ;] haha. I don't think I could ever do something like that, no. I mean, it took me ages to go polar swimming, i seriously don't think i could do anything like that. You know, unless I was standing up on the building for five years, or if I was pushed. If I was pushed, I don't think I really have a choice, ehh? oh yeah, luckily I'm a girl. whoa, if I wasn't, there would be something seriously wrong. grey goes with most colors, like light grey and blue, or something. I don't know. haha of course. Hogwarts misses the company of Mr. Styles. that must be it! : P me and Matty are hoping to organize a camp out for the whole senior school. we don't really want the juniors there, but i bet you there will be the minority that show up anyway. good luck, i hope he's good. being in a band would be so fun. you know, if you weren't like me and actually had some talent. haha. - Tianne.

Tee, Well hey, an inch could be easily gained. Eat your fruits and veggies and you'll be good to go. ; ) honestly being tall isn't all that great. you hit your head a lot. And short people -coughYOUcough- always ask you to get things on tall shelves for them. I don't think anyone would push you off a building. But maybe polar bear swimming was the first step? haha, yeah, Hogwarts is all sad and whatnot without me... that's a pretty good idea... any reason in a good excuse to get the troops together for a party. Drew's were always the best though, I remember that much. I'm sure you have some musical talent... how about singing? : ) Oh hey I was thinking that we should try and hang out or something... maybe meet up at Hogsmeade on the next trip? Let me know if you want to. - Guy
He wasn't really sure if she'd be interested in hanging out or something like that, but he hoped she would. Guy tried not to stress about the whole thing, but truth be told he was a bit nervous about her response... he sent off the letter with hopeful thoughts.
