"Found it!" Talia exclaimed, walking back into the room the other two were in, a lime in her hand. She smiled, glad she had done something right for once, and placed the lime next to Ash. She sat on the counter now, and shook her head. Some people... She ignored the thought and looked to Ash, "What was the other thing?" She asked, forgetting what it was, and probably because she didn't know what it was to begin with.

Ash reached for the directions on her right, "Hmm, lets see, um, there's three teaspoons of maltose." she said as the house elf heaved the sugar over to her. " Thanks, just leave it there." she smiled at him and patted him on the head. "Er, if it wouldn't be too much trouble could you get some maltose too? Three teaspoons?" she asked. The house elf hurried off with Ash's request.

Drew sat back on the counter, shirt now unbuttoned, but not really caring. He wasn't sure what to do and was just waiting for directions now.
"You know what you can do," Drew told a persistant house elf who was trying to replace his empty dinner plate with a slice of chocolate cake, "Find us a wireless." Drew always worked better with music.

Ash clicked her tongue as she read the instuctions for making the syrup,
1. Cut the lime up in four sections and squeeze in the juice and put in the skin as well. 2.pour in lkg water 5.Put ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil till sugar has dissolved. Lower heat and continue to simmer till thick and syrupy. 4.Switch off the fire and add the maltose. Stir well to dissolve. Leave to cool and keep for use as syrup for the dough (skin).
She found a random pot sitting out, and dumped in all the sugar and water, "Eh, could someone do the lime for me?" she asked as she carried the pot to the stove.

"Ok... What do I do with it?" She asked Ash, seeing as she had no idea what she was talking about. As in, how to cut it, and such. She got out a knife first off, and waited for further instructions, seeing as she wasn't sure whether to peel it, or... not.

" Oh sorry, um, cut it in four sections and squeeze in the juice and put in the skin as well." she read directly from the sheet, " In the pot I mean." The syprup had just begun to boil, ehh, this would take too long. She flicked her wand at the stove and the fire arose violently and died down as quickly as it had come. "Sorry about that." she said, glancing at Talia after backing away from the stove.

Talia began cutting the lime, and squeezed in the juices. She shrugged and threw in the peel aswell. She was a little shocked as Ash turned up the heat on the oven using magic. But Talia seemed to scare easy, so she didn't mind. She smiled, and took a breath, "No problem." She said, looking to Ash. "Anything else I can do?" She asked, wiping her hands on her hands pockets... She wore bad pants for a reason.

"Yeah," Drew answered, hoping down and finally hearing something he could do. He had just been wondering if it were possible to mass produce the cakes magically. Of course, his duplicating spell still needed a bit of work, but it would do.

"Sure." Talia said, as she pulled the paper close to her, and read off all the ingredients, going to fetch them. She came back a few moments later with a bowl and did as the paper/recipe said, mixing the syrup, soda, and oil in the bowl, then added the lye water, then finally slowly adding flour. She folded it in until it was firm enough and then sighed, "We have to let it sit for 5 hours?" She asked, knowing that would be a major bummer in this whole process.

" We're magic, not muggles." Ash smirked flicking her eyes at the sheet, then proceeding to the stove to check on the syrup, almost ready, she thought as most of the sugar had already dissolved. She stuck her finger in the pot stupidly, "OCHH!" she exclaimed, surprised that she was burnt.

Drew was busy trying to find a decent station on the wireless when Ash cried out in pain.
"But we still need hot pads," Drew reminded her, handing her an available towel. "Are you okay?" he asked before looking at a house elf to go get some ice.

She nodded, staring at her finger, happily accepting the pack ice from the house elf. That was stupid. She quickly spoke up, keeping the topic away from her burnt fingers, "The festival is also a sort of a - romantic thing." she said rubbing the ice on the red mark. "Even for a couple who can't be together, they can still enjoy the night by watching the moon at the same time so it seems that they are together at that hour." She wondered if Talia would ever tell her about Jake, it was obvious anyway.

"Nununununuh..." Drew cried out, grabbing the ice away and holding Ash's fingers under a nearby faucet. "If you start with the ice, you just make it worse," he told her before wrapping the ice in the towel and then handing it to her. "An ice burn on top of a heat burn is not pretty. Besides, the blisters tend to stick to the ice and it gets gross."

She glanced up at Drew curiously, and finally smiled. Her fingers didn't feel too bad until they hit the water for the first second, she winced at the stinging pain. She set the ice over her fingers and nodded at what Drew was saying, trying to not imagine the peeling skin of a blister sticking to the ice.
"Oh!" she exclaimed suddenly, she had forgotten about the syrup for a moment. Ash quickly hurried over to the stove and switched it off. She had to often help her mother around in the kitchen when she was a little younger, the kitched wasn't too unfamiliar to her. She was also a muggle-born so Ash was used to muggle equipment.
