It was a warm Saturday morning, warmer than it was usually this time of the year. It was sunny too, which made the day the perfect day to go out and have fun.
But one needed energy to go out and have fun. The first year Ravenclaw slept in and very unfortunately, missed breakfast. Thank every thing thank-able that there was always food in the kitchen, and the elves were always ready to stuff you silly.
He really was hungry, but his appetite was reduced significantly at the sight before him, after he got inside the kitchen. "What are you doing here?" he asked quizzically, a hint of annoyance showing in his voice. He really didn't need to deal with him on a weekend.

Hunger had been clawing unmercifully at Haru this particular morning. He had found himself eating two rounds of breakfast and coming into the kitchens for more, afterwards. Though, getting fat had never crossed Haru's mind because he was Haru and he could never get fat- ever.
Of course, the house elves had crowded around him, offering treats and sweets like they always did, but he didn't quite feel like eating treats or sweets this morning. Instead, he made his way over to the counter, stuffing his face with cake batter. He didn't understand why they cooked this stuff, it was so good the way it was and they just had to go and ruin it.
It wasn't until Kyle arrived that Haru had snapped his head up and looked over. He gave a grin, his face dabbed with chocolate batter. "Kyle! I didn't know that you knew how to get into the kitchens!" he smiled, "You're learning well, Mate-- in just a few years you'll know your way around Hogwarts as well as I do."
(Sorry.. ugh- writer's block xD)

Jyle realized Maru looked a lot better with his face covered with chocolate batter, because then he pretty much couldn't see his face. But he had an involuntary shiver when the Slytherin addressed him as "Mate".
"If I can survive seeing you for a few years that is," he rolled his eyes. His stomach grumbled loudly to remind him that he was too hungry to just turn around and leave. Waving the elves off and made his way to the counter, he helped himself to the cup cakes.
"Honestly Maru, you need to work on your over size ego," he commented, halfway through his cup cake.

Well this was definately a strange place for her to end up. Sarsha had been doing well at not getting lost but she had been half asleep when she left hufflepuff common room and she was almost sure she had slept through breakfast and was hurrying to make her way to the great hall, unfortunately she had taken a wrong turn and was now completely lost somewhere in the dungeons. Sarsha stopped outside the kitchens, completely unaware of their existance and of the fact that her two best friends were in there. She rubbed her eyes sleepily trying to wake up a little. Being half asleep and lost was not good, definately not good and she was sure she had walked past that painting of a bowl of fruit a couple times already.
Sarsha stepped backwards to take a better look at the painting, unfortunetely there was a large urn on a stand behind her. With a loud resounding clang the urn fell off of the stand and collided with the stone floor. This definately did a better job of waking Sarsha up than anything else that morning had. Unfortunetely ot also scared her out of her mind and she screamed suddenly jumping forewards and turning, her back now to the bowl of fruit and her eyes wide stairing at the large urn as it rolled accross the ground. She shook slightly in freight as she watched it, not that she was scared any more just that it had scared her when it crashed.

Kyle's first thought to the crash was that they were busted. He hadn't read any rule saying students could not go into the kitchen, although he had not read any saying they could either. But the girly scream didn't sound like it's from an adult, more like a girl. A young girl.
Creeping to the door and opening it just a little, he peered outside. He couldn't see nobody, only the urn rolling on the floor. "I have no idea urns here scream too," he commented.

Sarsha was still shocked from the fact thatshe had just knocked over an extremely large urn and so was mightily surprised when she heard a nearby voice which resulted in her jumping again. But after the initial shock that someone else was around she realised she wasn't in trouble because the voice belonged to someone young. Sarsha turned her eyes looknig around and the first thing that she noticed was that the bowl of fruit was now missing, wait, no it wasn't missing it was just now opened, hiding her from view from the speaker. "Hello?" Sarsha questioned curiously. She didn't know there was a passage there, then again, there was alot she didn't know about the castle. She took a couple steps beginning to make her way around the painting.

Kyle recognized the voice, and pushed the door open completely. It's a good thing she showed up, since he really was not looking forward to spend any quality time with Maru.
"Sar! So good to see you!" he jumped out and grabbed her by the arm. "Why are here? Did you miss breakfast too?"

The last thing the young girl needed at that moment was someone to jump out of a doorway she didn't even know existed and grab her arm. She squealed, again. Jumping with freight at the grabbing of her arm. It was bad enough she had slept in and missed breakfast, then got lost on the way to find breakfast, but then knocking over a giant urn while still half asleep didn't do well for her in her sleepy state and now to be accusted by someone (even if they are her best friend) out of a doorway she hadn't known existed. Yeah she was slightly shaking from freight again. Luckily she wasn't shaken too much as her eyes (though they took a moment to do so) focused on Kyle and registered him as friend not foe.
"Kyle?" Sarsha questioned slightly confused as to how and why he just jumped out of a painting and grabbed her. But either way hapyness sunk in as she realised it didn't matter if she was lost now because he could help her, and wait, did he say breakfast? "Kyle!" Sarsha said again, this time slightly more excited and very relieved. Sarsha lept foreward and gave her best friend a big hug, extremely relieved to have found him.

"Poor Sarsha, you must be really hungry," Kyle said, patting her head sympathetically. He thought the girl was so happy to see him because she's very hungry, and she had finally found the kitchen. A feeling he understood all too well.
"No worries, you can stuff yourself silly here," he said, pointing to the counter behind him. "Cupcakes as starter?"

Welll she was definately confused. Mighty confused infact. She was relieved because he wasn't going to yell about knocking over an urn and the fact that she was no longer lost and. He just offered her cupcakes. Sarsha stopped, that room there had food? Hold on, she just hugged Kyle. Sarsha let got of the boy suddenly, realising exactely what she had done. "I'm sorry.."she muttered quickly, her face turning a pretty shade of red.
Trying to divert the boys thoughts from the fact she had just hugged him, as he was probably very scared Sarsha then said. "Cupcakes aren't a breakfast thing..." She had never really had the option to eat whatever she wanted for breakfast, wether it be cupcakes or chocolate. There had always been someone who served her breakfast. It didn't occur to her that it didn't realy matter what you ate for breakfast.

(( I'm so sorry! I've been so busy lately.. my post might be a little 'bleh'..))
Kyle's comment about Haru's ego had struck him hard although he wasn't quite sure what an ego was, he was almost positive that it wasn't a good thing. He opened his mouth to retort when the sudden crash interrupted his train of words. Although Kyle seemed to have taken it seriously, Haru passed it off as one of the elves being clumsy again.
Sar! So good to see you!
You may have guessed that he was quite surprised to find out it wasn't a house elf causing the ruckus but actually Sarsha. Haru smiled and made his way to greet her. "Why, what a nice surprise to find you here, this morning! And you are absolutely right-- how could Kyle be so absurd as to suggest cupcakes as a breakfast food? No, no, cake batter is the way to go."

(I think your post is fine, and no worries, we all have those times ) Sarsha couldn't help it. Cake... batter? Cake would have been almost acceptable, cake batter, that was just plain silly and... disguisting. Of course, having grown up in a rich family she had never had cake batter on its own as the servants made their food and they never saw it made or cleaned up. Either way it was also quite a shock, apart form the comment of cake batter, to see Haru in the kitchens with Kyle. By the looks of it they must have made up from the caterpilla incident. "Cake.. batter?" Sarsha questioned Haru, a very very confused look upon her face. "You boys are weird" She said straightforewardly. Being herself she of course wasn't exactely good as restraining from saying what she was thinking. "I normally have toast or cereal for breakfast" she said happily with a smile. Having moved into the kitchens now Sarsha was suddenly surrounded by house elves offering her al kinds of food. Sarsha, having never actually seen a house elf before suddenly screamed, terrified about what these grimy looking creatures actually were. Sarsha jumped suddenly behind Haru, him being the closest one to her. She grabbed onto his shoudlers attemptoing to hide herself completely behind Haru. Hopefully those creatures would be scared of Haru. She of course was terrified of them.

Kyle didn't see why Sar had to apologize, but didn't think too much about it. He half agreed cupcakes weren't traditional breakfast choices. For starter, his mom wouldn't be too thrilled to see him stuffing his face with all the sweet-ness. But that's what made it great, doing something you normally couldn't.
He snorted when Haru offered Sar cake batter, and glared at the boy for calling him absurd. But all that was put on hold when Sar screamed at the house elves, who were all staring at them with wide eyes and trembling ears.
"It's 'kay," he said to the elves. They probably thought they've done something wrong and that's why the girl screamed at them. And judging from Sar's reaction, she, of course, had never seen a house elf before. "Sar, they are good little helpers. They bring us food."

Sarsha was stil eying the ugly creatures with a look of terror. She decided for the while to stay hiding behind Haru, he at least wasn't conversing with thoses...things, yet. "H..helpers?" she said looking back at Kyle once more. He had shown her somuch, but those, they were hideous and scary looking and they were alive. They scared her almost as much as the giant squid did. Perhaps even more. She had also never seen anything like them ever before. "They don't look very nice..." Sarsha said still eying them with terror. She had absolutely no reason not to trust whatKyle was saying but she just wasn't sure if she wanted to let those things near her. It was sorta like someone telling you to pat a snake because its harmless, snakes look terrifying so you wouldn't suddenly agree to pat it would you?

Kyle managed to shoo some of the elves away, but a good number still heard what Sar said about their appearances and started slapping themselves. Some showed signs of wanting to bang their heads on the counter, or anything bang-able.
"I am hungry and I want food," he said on top of all the squeaking. That simple request made the elves scattered around the kitchen looking for food or cooking. Kyle knew they were going to bring enough food to feed an army with request like that.
"Sar, they may look...different, but they are the ones who cook and make our beds," he told the girl who was still hiding behind Maru. "Perfectly harmless if you just look beyond their greenish brown complexion."
