Matty couldn't let herself look at the boy. How could she have let this happen? The girl couldn't put Leto through what she put Jynx through. 'Look Matty. For the record, I like you. A lot. And I know that you think I'm stupid right now, you have to know that from the first time I saw you, I knew that I would have a crush, or more, on you. You're just so calm, serene, beautiful.' Ryan's words seems to drag out the time into many minutes, each of this words so sincere, so sure. The Hufflepuff nodded slowly. "Ry, Ryan, look at me." Matty pulled her legs from his knees, crossed them, making it easier for her to lift his head up. The teenager leaned forward, the impulse to kiss the Gryffindor becoming stronger. Her lips merely brushed over his before Matty's hand dropped from his soft cheek, and both hands went to the aid of her head.
"Oh my god..." she said, shaking her head. "No... no, no, no, no. Ryan I'm sorry, it's just," Matty turned, pushed back her chair and stood up. She sighed, before sitting on the edge. "I have a boyfriend, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you... it's just the opportunity never arised and... god, Leto..." Matty bit back her lip, and hugged her chest. This was definitely not good.

Ryan honestly felt sick. His head was throbbing, his stomach turning and his thoughts racing. He knew that whatever was to ahppen next wasn't going to be good, there was just something in the air. He thought about all of his past relationships, trying to find one that he could relate to for this. He wanted Matty to speak, to say anything, and break this horrible awkward silence. But what she said next, let's just say, that's not quite what Ryan was expecting. Oh my god..." she said, shaking her head. No... no, no, no, no. Ryan I'm sorry, it's just... I have a boyfriend, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you... it's just the opportunity never arised and... god, Leto.... Ryan heart stopped. Seconds became minutes, minutes seemed to go on forever.
"I can't believe this. I can't believe I did that. I can't believe you." Ryan was so angry. He was frustrated at both himself and Matty, and upset. That's when he realised. Ryan had changed so much. He had never ever kissed a girl before that was already in a relationship, he had always thought was that as rank. Ryan only wished he could turn back the clock, and stop what had happened happening. "Matty. Don't call me Ry." He said, standing up. He didn't know how the girl would react. In fact, the only thing the boy had on his mind was whether he'd be able to make it back up to the seventh floor.

The girl couldn't bring herself to look at Ryan. She knew he would be hurt by this... but it honestly wasn't as if she had lied to him. The Gryffindor hadn't asked. The Hufflepuff hadn't made it obvious. 'I can't believe this. I can't believe I did that. I can't believe you.' She let out sigh. His next comment however, only made Matty angry and upset more so. Matty looked up at the boy, her eye brows raised. "So you just assumed I was free, then? Just one of those easy girls who couldn't hold down a boyfriend and went to the next guy that took a fancy to her?" the Hufflepuff asked him... only it was more of a rhetorical question. "I'm sorry I gave you that impression, Ryan." the girl stressed his full name.

Matty. I'm sorry. Can we just put all this behind us? Well, that was what Ryan wanted to say. There was nothing really he could do now, he had ruined both his friendship, and any possible relationship with the teen, something that Ryan found almost depressing. "Leto. The slytherin? Cool." Ryan quietly spoke. He wasn't sure whether the girl would have heard him, but Ryan wasn't in the mood to care anyways. The gryffindor was trying to plan the way he would exit the room, but nothing was making any sense. "Have fun. See ya." Ryan hastily said, before turning in the direction of the door and wandering out of it. All too soon it had happened, and before Ryan knew it, he had blown every single stinking chance he had. "Damnit!" The boy yelled at th top of his lungs. He face flushed a bright red color, and he punched on of the walls. "What have I done? Oh merlin. I've ruined everything. EVERYTHING!" Ryan yelled the last word. He was so mad at himself, at 'Leto' and Matty, although this was all Ryan's fault.
