Eaden shook her head. "Only child. My parents didn't have time to have any more little Valo's running around. They both work full time. Aurors," She said pleasantly. You could tell Eaden was happy about this. Eaden wasn't spoiled or anything, she just wouldn't want to share her parents with any other children her age. She stopped rocking her chair back and forth, now staying in a stationary position. "Do you? Have any siblings I mean."
" Ouch. Bet tha' was a bit of a blow to the ego. "
She nodded, playing along with him. "My ego is in the hospital wing with extensive bruising." She snickered lightly, covering her mouth with a pale hand. Her eyes were alight with playfulness. After a few more seconds of laughing she sighed, giggling a few more times as she tried to regain composure. "But I got to class without being late. I didn't want Professor Griffths to get mad at me. He seems....weird." When she said the word weird it was hushed, making sure no one she didn't want to hear her say that didn't.
"It took about for sessions to get it done entirely. Think was I couldn't put a numbing charm on meself. Once I turn seventeen I'm never getting a tattoo without it!" Her laugh was clear, yet quiet as she stifled it so they wouldn't get in trouble. "When you finally find something you want as a tattoo everything will fall in place. When I was looking for an idea for my lower back tattoo I spent six months looking for the perfect idea. When I found it everything just felt right."
She blushed a little when he spoke about a monroe looking good on her. Eaden looked away for a second, grinning. As she looked back she grinned even wider. "Thanks. Maybe I'll come back next year with one."

Despite the fact that Connor's sister was four years his senior he couldn't imagine growing up with her, or without a sibling at all. Sure, in the younger years they had been annoying as anything to one another, but he couldn't think of how he would have turned out differently if he had been an only child. " Aurors? that's pretty cool. My mum's a writer and my dad works at the Ministry as well. Couldn't tell ya what he does, though. " He said with a laugh. His dad had, in Connor's opinion, the longest and most complicated job title in the world, so when anyone asked or inquired about the man's job, Connor always answered the same thing ' ministry worker. ' It covered a lot in just two words.
" Oh yeah, I have an older sister Bella. She's four years older than me and currently in muggle college. " He commented, reminding himself that he had to send her a letter soon, asking how she was. He grinned widely, though as she joked along. " Well at least it was just extensive bruising and nothing more. " He gave a joking wink, but regarded what she said next in a more serious manner. " He can be wierd. Jus' a word to the wise, don't walk out of his class, not matter how much of a brute he seems to be. More trouble than it's worth, speaking from experience. " He muttered, wishing that he wasn't speaking from experience at all. But then again, if he hadn't walked out of class the first time around he wouldn't have apologized and been able to get on the man's good side. Still though, he didn't reccomend it at all.
Their conversations about tattoos and piercings was refreshing, it had been a long time since he had talked about something such as body mods to anyone at Hogwarts. He laughed at the mention of never getting another tattoo without a numbing charm, and he had to agree. Why go through the pain when it could be silenced? " Really? Guess I'll have to start looking. That is... if my parents will let me. " That was still all up in the air at the moment, as he hadn't asked recently. The last time he had, though, the answer had been a flat out no. Maybe things changed, he could only guess right now.
' Maybe I'll come back next year with one. '
He nodded, answering as he did so. " Ha, and who knows maybe I'll come back with a tattoo. " He guessed it would be more likely that Eaden's parents let her get the monroe than his parents would let him get a tattoo.

" Aurors? that's pretty cool. My mum's a writer and my dad works at the Ministry as well. Couldn't tell ya what he does, though. "
"Ooooh! Secretive! Maybe he's a top secret agent that goes on only the highest priority missions for the Ministry," She said with a laugh. She shifted her weight yet again so she was sitting more comfortably in the chair. She couldn't believe how relaxed she was with Connor. Not that she was the jittery type, but she'd just met him. The thought of being so at ease with someone and had just met then seemed a bit foreign to the Gryffindor.
Muggle collage? She shrugged and stretched out her hands. "Really? Muggle collage? Thats so cool. Always wanted to go to muggle school. And learn how a bus goes..but going to a muggle school must be wicked." Her first reaction to him saying his sister went to muggle collage was surprise. Connor was in Slytherin, the house known for their pure blood mania. She didn't care about blood. We all have it and everyone's is the same. What did it matter if yours war purer then hers? Eaden knew blood status and beliefs were a touchy subject. She hoped she didn't freak him out about her love for all this Muggle.
"Yeah, thanks for the tip. Still don't like him." Eaden laughed a cold laugh as she spoke about the History of Magic teacher. "It seems like something happened before in the class and everyone is on edge from it still." Shrugging slightly she started rocking again. It gave her something to do with her legs. "Or he doesn't like kids and should really pick out a different career."
She grinned at the boys comment about asking his parents. Most weren't like hers. They let Eaden pretty much do anything she wanted (within reason). They never told her no when she wanted pink hair or when she decided to dress in all black. The thought of it as their daughter finally making choices for herself and not latching onto other peoples. Tattooing wasn't a yes at first, but after a while she wore them down to finally give in. Now they love them and couldn't imagine their daughter without them. "Make sure they're sitting down and comfortable. Thats how I did it. Made them a cake too. In retrospect the cake was overkill but I did get to get a tattoo."
"Maybe you will! We can then compare ours and talk about the best places to go." This was thinking a bit too far into the future but it was nice to think about something that could happen. "Lets cross our fingers that your parents say yes!"

Connor feigned scoffing at the girl's comment, pretending that his dad could never to anything secretive. He was his dad, reliable, fun, and a little crazy at times. But he meant well of course. The Slytherin smiled slightly all the same though at her jokings. " I hope not. I mean, there's got to be a certain amount of risk in being a top secret agent. " He said honestly, touching all four legs of the chair down on the ground so he was no longer tipping the chair back and forth. " I think he just does something so boring that the title is so long I've forgotten it. " He said, scrunching up his nose as he said ' I've forgotten it. '
He was used to people saying things that tested how touchy the subject of blood was to a person. He was also used to hearing things like that just because he was in Slytherin. He didn't let on that it bugged him, because he had grown used to it since coming to the school. " Yeah, she's going for... psychology I believe. " He mentioned, once again finding himself tapping ever so lightly on the chair. He stood and turned the chair so that as he sat down again his arm was hung over the back of it which was pressed against his side.
When it came to muggles, Connor was indifferent to them. They were as ignorant of us as we were of them was his way of thinking. Muggle borns and half bloods didn't make too much of a difference to him either. If you were magic, that was it - you were magic, no matter how you got the ability or where you got it from.
The Slytherin really did scoff slightly at what she said about something happening before. " I'll let you in on what happened, " He said with a slight smile. It didn't serve him any good to boast about what he had done, walking out on the first lesson, and he was refraining from doing just that. She wanted to know, and he knew already. It was simple, really. " First class of the year, Griffths wants us to change our robes ' set the tone ' for the class, as we were learning about some ancient civilization. Some students didn't like it, so they left. Perfectly reasonable. " It wasn't perfectly reasonable on all accounts, but for the sake of telling Eaden, it would be. " The same lesson, after two have walked out already, Griffths put me into the group that offended him despite the fact that I had done nothing. So I left, leaving one student in the room. " A pang of guilt still chimed in the Slytherin as he said the last sentence.
" Hm, I'll keep that one in mind too, " He said, acknowledging her advice with a polite nod and his same smile that he always seemed to have. His luck he would burn the cake. He chuckled at this thought, then said, " Who knows. Maybe... you never know. " He said, cracking a small grin. She was so enthusiastic about it, it began to rub off slightly on the Slytherin.
