Alex stood up and swept up to the boy and said "Sit down and get ready to be bored" then he took the book and canceled all the spells. He changed his robes and returned the sculptures in the crate, he then sealed the crate and added "If I wasn't so merciful I would have deducted points from your houses, and it would have been 50 points each" he then opened his book and said "Ancient Rome, the first civilization where wizards, witches and druids hid from the muggles. Druids tried to...what the heck, I know my own cultures history" he then threw the book down and looked at his class. He then looked at the girl that stood up and tried to opent the door "Get out and it's detention for one month" he said, looking back at his class, he started.
"Roman wizards were never emperors, none of them ever wanted to be emperors. The highest a Roman wizard has for a title in the palace is the captain of the guards, the strategists, and the Emperors most trusted right hand, as it is known today like a vice president. Druids were the enemy for Roman wizards and witches, these Druids openly use magic and it is against what the Romans believe in. All the Roman Gods as they say were magical people as well, Romans and Druids were in a never ending battle. It only ended by the time that all the druids were gone and only some were left, those are the celtics." he then looked at his students, still annoyed.
"If you didn't write that down, it's not in any of your textbooks because that is an additional information. Now it's too bad for you who didn't copy it down. I'll be walking around and looking at your notes, no one look at your classmates notes or I will take that" he said. Alex then straightened up and started walking around, eyes open for any sort of movement other then the scratching of quills.

It had all gone so fast Celina, nor her writer, even could fathom what had just happened. Her eyes grew wide, however, with all of the back and forth and Celina could feel herself growing nervous. She hadn’t wanted to change either, but why were they insistent about fighting with professors? But, this was not the time to ask that of her friends, nor did she feel it appropriate to say anything to the professor. It was his classroom just as he had said and for some odd reason, he made her nervous as well. Celina buried her face in her legs hoping and begging for the fighting to stop in her head. If she wanted this…she’d sit in a room with her father and her brother.
As the professor started speaking about the stuff that they needed to know, Celina’s eyes opened wide as her face was still buried in her face. She didn’t move, however, until he had said that he hoped that had written everything down. Gasping out loud, she quickly put her legs down and scrambled to get her stuff out of her bags. Quills, ink, parchment all came rushing out of her bag and onto the desk, however, it was much too late before the professor started walking around to make sure they weren’t copying off of each other’s notes.
Celina had missed everything the man had said in her frozen state of….well, whatever it was, it hadn’t been productive. Raising her hand slowly, and shakily, she stuttered. “P..pro…professor?” she questioned, looking down at her blank parchment paper, and avoiding all eye contact with the man. “I…I’m sorry…” she paused. “Could you…you repeat that?” Celina gulped hard, not even able to look at anything but the parchment.

Alex passed the only Ravenclaw there and noticed that she got scared of his sudden outburst, he stopped as she asked a question and sat down next to her. "Well...may I know your name my dear?" he asked, but not waiting for her answer he added "since your the only one here who didn't seem to be opposing me, I'll help you with that." Alex summoned a parchment, quill and ink from his desk. Alex then started writing down what he had just said and gave her the parchment, "Don't let anyone see that, they should have been listening since they were the one's who made me give you lectures" he raised his voice a bit and then stood up.
"Don't question me, because I know she has an excuse. You three don't, now I expect my exact words in the lecture in your notes" he said, walking around again and keeping a close eye on the Ravenclaw incase the three students asked her for the parchment, it was charmed to burn as soon as the girl finished or when someone else took it. "If any of you wanted some good treatment from me, then you better behave. I'm not a professor who you should be taking lightly" he said, then he looked at the door. A student had walked out, he didn't care.

"No, thank you," Drew answered, not flinching as the man came up to him. The Ravenclaw wasn't intimidated easily and at six foot four, the man wasn't any taller than the he was. Besides, Drew had faced guys a lot scarier than the History Professor.
Reminicent of a temper tantrum, the man switched up the class to a proper classroom and actually starrted the lecture, but Drew had no intention of staying. He didn't care if the man was giving extra information. Even if he needed the NEWT in the class, the test would only cover things that were found in a book somewhere and Drew was an excellent researcher. Drew threw his things back into his bag and followed Felicity out. It wasn't like it was the first class he had ever walked out of. He actually thought it was kind of funny that the guy was throwing Felicity out when she was obviously leaving.
And someone would definitely be hearing about the new teacher who threatened students.

Hand on the doorknob, Felicity stopped for only a moment, snorting at his threat of fifty points. She'd had one hundred and fifty points taken from her that spring, fifty was nothing compared to it. He thought he was so tough, he was nothing compared to van Aller; she was the one who took the points all in one go. Besides, the man wasn't even taking the points, just threatening too and giving her a month's worth of detentions. Why couldn't he be threatening to take her Prefects badge too? That would at least be helpful. Probably not a smart idea though, the blonde would've gladly handed it over to him before walking out. The idea of even still carrying the thing on her bag was bad enough, but to really have it there? Even worse.
Following orders, Felicity gladly opened the door and stalked out. She didn't need to sit in a class like that, and that was something her dad wouldn't yell at her for either. So, no disappointment from her parents with that one.

Why oh why did this teacher have to be an arse? He started out well enough, the classroom in theme with the lesson. But it seemed to have spiraled down. Connor watched, anger growing up inside of him, as Professor Griffiths threw Felicity out of the class. It was actually a little humorous, he was throwing her out when clearly she was leaving. He didn't write down a word the man said, but looked over to Celina as she desperately tried to recall what the man had just told them. ' You three don't, now I expect my exact words in the lecture in your notes. '
You three? So that meant he was referring to Connor as well, because there were only four students in the room, and he clearly wasn't addressing Celina. Connor's anger grew more as he heard this. He hadn't opposed the Professor at all, hadn't said a word about him or to him except ' hello. '
Apparently walking out of class was becoming a habit amongst the upperclassmen, and Connor decided he was done with this. He stood up, lifted his bag from where he had set it and said, " Sorry, Celina. But this is bollucks... I'll talk to you later. " He shook his head, trying to calm down as he walked out of the class. He didn't care if the professor yelled at him for talking when he was still trying to lecture them. He felt bad for leaving Celina, but this Professor wasn't being fair to them. He threw Felicity out of class for asking a few questions, ones that made sense. Drew walked out, Connor was sure, because he was done with putting up with the teacher as well. And Connor? He couldn't stand being called out for something he didn't do.

Alex sighed in exasperation, "N.E.W.T.S. class just got worse" he muttered after the slytherin left. "Note to self talk to someone and try to relax" he added. Alex then walked over to his desk and summoned the book to his hands, Alex then put it down on his desk and bent down to the crate. He then took out an ancient set of mirrors and a small staff, he then set the mirrors down on the table and took the staff. "Druid staff, part of Roman history. I'll explain the mirror in a minute, since your my only student what I show you is something your classmates would have liked if they werent so annoying" he said, Alex walked over to the table infront of the girl and tapped it, it turned to gold and then went silver and red and so on.
"Amazing magic, but was a threat to Roman wizards. The Druids thought magic was better off known that hidden, it turned out to be the reason Roman wizards hid from muggles" he said, looking at the girl. "Remind me to give you something after this class, it was supposed to be for everyone, but now your the everyone. So it will all yours to keep" he said, Alex then set the staff beside her. "Hold the staff, tap it anywhere and think of anything. It can make illusions, make things change like what I did with the table infront of you. I'm not a bad guy, just don't go to ym bad side. I apologize for scaring you" he said, smiling apologetically at her,

Looking at the parchment and writing everything down on it that she could, she paid little mind to Felicity and Drew walking out. She heard them do so, but feared that if she paid any mind, she would have crumpled under the pressure and begged them to stay. Celina couldn’t leave. She had passed the OWLs fair and squared and she wasn’t about to disappoint her father by allowing him to hear that she followed suit with classmates to walk out. Not only that, but her body just wouldn’t allow her to move anywhere else. Frozen in a robotic sort of fear she looked over to where Connor sat and was glad that at least he was still there with…
Sorry, Celina. But this is bollucks… I’ll talk to you later
Celina was utterly shocked. Speechless to do anything but watch as the Slytherin followed suit to her friends and she choked up a bit. Had they really all just left her there…? The professor was obviously mad, or deranged or something, and they just left her? She looked away from the three, unable to believe that those were the schools role models. They were Prefects? Head Boy? Her eyes burned as moisture built up within them. She was so frustrated with losing Prefect to a younger student to begin with…but now, Connor had done exactly what she couldn’t expect… maybe she expected too much?
Celina cleared her throat and rubbed her eyes from tears that threatened to fall. She didn’t want to be in the classroom any more than obviously any of them did, but she was not about to ditch class because she didn’t agree with something the professor said. There were different ways of going about things than that…weren’t there?
Professor Griffiths began to teach the class still and Celina just wrote everything down he said, the paper he had given her burning on the desk sitting next to her. It didn’t even phase Celina, for she was too upset to realize anything that was going on. The guy was quick to anger, and she wasn’t about to have him throw another book or yell at her or anything of the sort….Where was Alfonz when she needed him the most? He wouldn’t have left her…or at least, he would have taken her with him…
She watched closely as the demonstration was done and nodded her head in response, not saying anything unnecessary to participate. As he told her to remind him to give her something, her insides shuttered as she looked up at him through the tops of her eyes. What did he have for her, or rather the class that had just taken their leave?
Griffiths set the staff down beside her for her to try and she looked at him again nervously, wondering what would happen if she refused to pick it up and try. Would he yell at her, too? Celina almost wondered if it was a wise choice not to do anything he wished of her since she was the only one there…her wand lay securely in her pocket and as she put down her quill and grabbed gently to the staff, her other hand lay peacefully on her leg nearest her wand pocket. She’d do what she had to, to get the grade, pass the class…but there were boundaries even the young Raven wouldn’t cross, and just in case she had to protect herself in self defense…she totally would.
Alfonz was right….there was only one who would truly look after her….and that was herself.
I'm not a bad guy, just don't go to my bad side. I apologize for scaring you
Celina shrugged and picked up the staff, touching with it the chair she sat next to and watched the colors it changed. The man had scared her, and even with his attempts to try and heal the open wound, he still did. But Celina couldn’t decipher what was worse….
…the feeling of utter fear from the vibes the man gave her, or the fact that she was just abandoned by all of her friends who should have known she would have….could have never left…
After class, Celina was going to see Alfonz…he’d know what to do.

Alex gave her a small smile, then he went over to his desk and picked up the mirrors. "These are mirrors that once allowed the Druids to communicate with the underworld, some sort of magic or maybe old age canceled the bond and now they are just ordinary mirrors. Good for a collection, and it is a good part of history." he said, then he put them down and took out an egyptian jar. "Now I wasn't supposed to take this out yet and only my O.W.L. class and the third years know about this, but I'll show you about this later" he said, setting it aside and then taking out an old Roman papyrus. He coughed as dust came flying out and said "Excuse me, they must not have cleaned this yet" he then dusted the papyrus and then set it down.
"The staff and every artifact that I will show you and more will be free for you to see and you can borrow some of my books if you ever need them. Now on to history, as you know the Roman wizards hid magic and the druids show magic. Well...Romans can't always hide it, so they use it only when needed. They used it to heal wounds and other severe stuff. They used some sort of box, my colleagues refused to send the box to me though, it was the most precious of discoveries. This box contains all kinds of magical healing materials used by the Romans, clever to hide their magic too" he explained, Alex then summoned his sketch pad. He gave it to Celina and said "There are many sketches of magical Roman artifacts there, ask me about them and I'll explain them to you"

Celina placed the staff back down on the desk and wrote every word down as the Professor had instructed that the class do before they had all left. She was unsure if she still was supposed to do that, but she wasn’t taking any chances, nor did she feel comfortable to ask the man. She nodded, and slightly smirked as the man coughed when he blew the dust from the papyrus. Celina would have giggled, but she was hoping to hard that he was in fact deathly allergic to the dust so class would end quicker. Unfortunately, it seemed as if he was not and the class progressed.
Again, she nodded as he spoke about the artifacts and different kinds of ways the Romans hid their magic, and what kinds they seemed to specialize in. Healing? Her mother would have liked to know that, for she being a Head Healer at St Mungo’s would probably have been very interested indeed. Celina made a mental note to owl her mother about it later.
Handing over a sketch pad of sorts, Celina took the pad and hesitantly opened it to look at what was being shown, almost wondering if there was anything graphic that she would have rather not seen. However, as she opened the book, she saw nothing of the sort. Just old pieces of paper with drawings on them of pottery, things that looked like cauldrons and some pointed glass thing…
“Professor,” Celina said sheepishly, looking up at the man just briefly feeling as if being the only one in the room made her obligated to speak any ways (not only for the fact that he told her she had to). “What is this one?” Celina gestured to the glass object engraved with gold lettering.

Alex sat down next to celina as she started looking at the sketches, he was kinda happy that atleast he still had one student here. He didn't need his other students if they were that infuriating, he looked at Celina as she studied the sketches he made. As she pointed out one of his sketches he smiled, "Very clever invention, magical Roman record tablet. They keep mgical records of all events that happened during the roman war here, it is controlled by thought and it contains many information" he explained.
"You don't have to take note of everything, just important points, take a look more and then let me see your notes" he said, leaning on the chair and sighing. "And I also want you to speak, your my only student and it's silent. You have freedom of speech, and I'll dismiss you early after I finish my lecture, which is really short. I'll have to look at your notes first before you go though and give you something" he said, looking at her. I messed up real bad this time he thought, still looking at his one student.

As he sat down next to Celina, she tried her hardest not to move away from him. The professor made her nervous. Maybe it was because his first impression was yelling and screaming and fighting with the students, and as much as Celina knew that it wasn't all the man, she couldn't condone in herself the fighting. It was his fault, Felicity's fault, and Drew's fault. Celina just couldn't understand what happened, nor what went wrong so quickly. Felicity had just asked a question out loud that everyone was thinking; Drew had backed her up. Celina was definitely taking her friend's side over the new Professor's, but it still didn't comfort her that everyone thought that leaving was the best option. She too, wanted to leave...but fear that her father would actually make an appearance at the school stopped her from doing so.
Listening to what the Professor had to say about the object, however, she could not say that she wasn't interested. For now, her nerves were calm enough to go on, but speaking was never one of her forte's with new people. Especially, new professors. Connor hadn't believed her when she told him at the cafe, but then again, she was comfortable with him at the cafe. Her mother was there, just in case things went bad, and he was a student in her class. So, in Celina's mind, that was a completely different scenario. And frankly, it really was.
She exclaimed a shaky breath and wondered why he had to check over her notes to make sure everything was in order. They were her notes, weren't they? They were what she was going to have to study off of. So, what was the big deal about him seeing them? Celina furrowed her brow slightly, but said nothing against the man's ways...look at what happened when Felicity had tried to even ask about them. Freedom of speech? Celina wished she was comfortable enough to laugh. "Yes, sir," was all she could manage to squeak out.
"Controlled by thoughts?" Celina asked softly, barely finding the voice to speak with. "How?"

Alex closed his eyes and sighed "forget letting me see your notes celina, I'll just teach you what I know in ancient Rome. Just ask me if you missed something, I'll write it down for you" he said, rubbing his temples. "I'm sorry again, but I had a bad night" he apologized again. Alex then stood up and took the egyptian jar, "This is the jar that's filled with magic powder, Egyptians use this and also my 3rd year to 5th year class. I allow them to go to my office or meet me here when they have nothing to do, I'll give you a small pouch of this and you can use it anytime your bored. I don't know how the professors will react to this though" he explained.
Alex sat down next to Celina and conjured a small pouch to hold the powder in, then he poured a small amount in. "Will last you a week, and this is how you use it" he said. He took a pinch of powder and tapped it with his wand, the powder glowed in different colors and when Alex threw it in the air it made a trail of a rainbow and then he took another pinch and blew it across the room, this time blue butterflies came out. "Almost real, yet only an illusion. You can make many different things with it" he said.
"Back to history, I'm just giving you the added information. The druids once tried to tell the romans to show their magic, but the romans refused. That angered the Druids and they tried to make the romans use magic for fighting back to them when they attacked Rome. The romans did use magic, but only to make roman muggles believe that they have created an armor that repels the magic of the druids, it was successful and the romans' magic was kept a secret" he said, walking over to the crate and putting the mirror and the staff back in. Alex then returned to get the jar and placed it on the crate as well, then he turned to Celina. "Have anymore questions before I let you do anything you want while waiting for the bell? or I dismiss you an hour early?" he asked, looking at her.

She could see that the man was quick to decipher her body language and Celina saw that as even worse than Brady's mind reading. Had she really looked that opposed for him to read her notes? Celina felt bad, but only slightly, for his classroom was his domain and she knew better than to question the authority of an elder. Her father had taught her many times that that was just not something one did. Whether or not he had a bad night was none of her concerns, and frankly because he was the adult and she the child, she should not have made the man feel as if he needed to give her an excuse. It wasn't warranted for she was not in even the remote position to be in need of it.
Looking at the Professor she slightly objected. "No, I don't mind if you look at my notes." She did mind, but that wasn't the point, and this time she made sure that her body language and everything she did told the man the complete opposite of what she was thinking.
He sat down again, and this time Celina just didn't move. Didn't think. Just looked at the little pouch, her Raven curiosity kicking in tremendously. She bit her lip nervously and looked at the pouch, and then the demonstration of it. As the butterflies flew, she gasped slightly in awe, somewhat cracking the smallest of all smiles. She was still highly upset after all that happened, but her mind was temporarily distracted by the fluttering blue wings.
As he returned to the lecture she progressed to copy her notes down and exhaled a breath, for she had been holding it slightly because of her nerves. When it was finished, and all her notes were taken he gave her a choice of what to do and Celina knew what choice she wanted to take, but felt as if choosing it was inappropriate. "Umm..." she said softly, trying to think of any questions, but none came to her mind. Her eyes caught the seat Connor had sat in and she sighed slightly. She wanted to leave. "No, sir. I have no more questions..." her words trailed off as she made the briefest of eye contact with him.

Alex nodded at Celina and smiled "Alright then, your free to do anything you want. You can practice how to use the egyptian powder or look at my artifacts here or look at more of my sketches, but if you want to go early make sure no professor sees you. We don't want you in trouble now do we?" he said, Alex then added "Don't call me professor anymore Celina, just call me Alex or Xander" he smiled at her again and then he moved to his notes.
"Say...Celina, you could help me plan my next lesson. Like tell me what you think will help the 1st-2nd years, the 3rd-5th year class and what you want to learn next lesson. I really don't mind, and I know you've done good in your notes so there's no reason for me to look at it. That is only if you want, or you can just experiment with that powder. I'd like to see what you can make out of it, and if it runs out before you leave the room, I'll be happy to refill it for you" said Alex, he was trying to break the cold silence that settled in and he was failing miserably. "First Annemarie, then my class and now my only student" he muttered, sighing sadly. "I'm not good at teaching anymore" he concluded, putting his face in his left hand.
"Celina, be frank with me please.... Am I a good teacher to you?" he asked, looking at Celina. He honestly wasn't sure about it anymore, he didn't know what he'd do now. "I need your opinion, not what I want you to say. Please... just be honest with me, I promise I won't do anything" he added, looking down on the table. He felt useless after his three students just walked away, now only one remained. She just stayed out of fear and he knew it, if she had that kind of confidence he'd be alone in the classroom.
