The classroom once more looked different to what the students had ever seen it before. A large heavy looking round table stood in the middle of the room today and all the smaller desks were missing. The regular chairs had been replaced by large wooden chairs which were pushed up against the edge of the round table. It was the same table he had used for the seventh years the previous year when teaching about Merlin, however the room was decorated very differently to what it had been for them. At the front of the room, standing on a stone podium was a large rock. Sticking out of this rock was the hilt of what looked like a rather extravagant sword. The sword had been enchanted, much like one in the histories had been, so that it was embedded in the rock. None but the true teacher of the classroom could remove it. In the 4 corners of the room stood suits of armour, much like the ones that stood all around the castle and along the walls were different tables filled with trinkets and treasures. Some had old fasioned shields, and parts of armour on them. Others held fancy looking necklaces and types of jewlery. On some of the other tables stood old looking books and scattered pieces of parchment, all written on in a curly old fasioned type of writing, depicting scenes from battles, or general idle mentionings of the lifes of phesants. Hanging on the walls in some places were a few kinds or armour, chain mail, and gloves. On the round table were a couple jugs of pumpkin juice and butterbeer, along with plates of cookies. He figured seeing as they were sitting at a large table they might as well get something to eat. Plus he trusted his sixth and seventh years not to get into a massive food fight or anything of the sort. Marvin himself sat in a large chair at the round table, bigger then most of them. Upon his head stood a large helmet, that came down low at the back of the head and had a nose piece that came down the ridge of his nose. (Click me for image). His eyes surveyed the helmet, waiting for his sixth and seventh year students to arrive.

Drew hated... hated History class with a passion. He found the subject matter boring no matter what craziness the professor tried and he thought that Atwood was a complete loon. As he sauntered into the classroom, his assesment was not disproven. Once again the Professor had some crazy head gear sitting on top of his noggin.
The only reason Drew even bothered with it was for the extra NEWT and the fact that he thought... hoped... one day they might discuss something he actually was interested in. He gave a small smirk as he greeted Professor Atwood and then took his seat, prepearing himself for another intollerable class.

Bronwyn had made sure that she wasn't late for this class. Her mind had been in a million other places recently and her tardiness was becoming something of a regularity. But not today, Ron had promised herself she would not be late for another class any more. A wonderful resolution, she mused to herself as she made her way down the corridor, if only a few months late. She laughed at herself, her red curls bouncing as she rounded the corner and entered the classroom.
Bron had to stop at the sight which greeted her as she gazed in the class and she gasped in wonder. It was the most fascinating sight she had seen in a long time, not since Fern had gotten that carrot stuck up her nose. Her shocked pale face broke into a radiant smile as she walked deeper into the class. It looked like a medieval meeting hall like in the books Ron always read. The round table, the armour statues, the shields. It had sprung out of one of her books and was shouting in her face.
Then Ron saw the professor. Bron couldn't help but laugh. 'I'm sorry, Prof,' Ron said jovially, 'that's a very impressive looking helmet!' She walked over to where the professor was sitting and tapped on the helmet with her knuckles. It rang like a bell that wasn't quite hollow. She whistled, obviously impressed. 'Wicked!' she said. 'Where'd you get it, Professor?' Ron stood back and noticed a Ravenclaw, Drew she believed his name was, and she shot him a radiant smile.

Granted, the things around the room were interesting, but Drew had seen quite enough of them earlier in the year and wasn't all that thrilled to spend the hour with the battle gear.
He was impressed when the Gryffidnor girl came in and knocked on Atwood's head. The ravenclaw was pretty bold, but even he would have never done something like that. Another smirk crossed his face which turned into a friendly grin when the redhead smiled at him.

Oh great.. Great, great. History Class. One of the most spontaneous classes, very, very random. Why did he thought it was random? Don't ask. Tristan is very weird, as everyone can see. But he took the class for a extra NEWT as well. Entering the class, the professor still was crazy.
He chuckled and sat. He then looked down at the desk just waiting for class to start. He didn't bother to say hi to anyone. Was he sick, mad, or...... tired? Nah, he was bored. He was ready to do the lesson and leave.

It was quite the struggle for Vanessa to maker herself go to History. Nobody liked it and Nessa wasn't any different. It was boring, long and pointless in her opinion. And upon entering the room, it seemed like today wouldn't change her opinion. Not only was she the only seventh year so far, she was also going to be forced to actually sit beside someone at this round table...thing. Sighing, Vanessa dropped her bag on the floor and her body in a seat, putting her head down and just waiting.

Ron was moving towards a seat when Tristan entered the class. She stopped in her tracks and smiled widely at him. "Hey Tris," she said and moved to sit next to him. She was glad to see she had someone that she knew in this class. She put her ruck sack on the floor next to her and smiled widely at her fellow Gryffindor. It wasn't everyday that she was able to have class with someone she knew so this may just make the class a little more fun.
A Hufflepuff soon entered and took a seat near to where she was. The girl was older then Ron, she decided, but she thought she would extend a friendly hand towards her just the same. Holding out a hand, Bron stretched towards the Hufflepuff and smiled. "Hi," she said, "I'm Bronwyn, nice to meet you." She wasn't being impertinent, or at least she wasn't trying to. Bron was simply friendly by nature and out going.

Not only was this a book heavy class but also the way the professor set up his teaching really helped Hiro, which is probably why this was one of his best classes. The self-narrated artifacts always were an easy add to the book knowledge. Hiro was well knowledgeable with history and enjoyed the class. Although he couldn't see the sword in the stone Hiro knew what was coming. This time however there wasn't just artifacts around the room, as soon as Hiro entered the room he got the smell of cookies in his nose.

Nessa looked over at the girl who introduced herself. She hadn't seen the Gryffindor girl around before but she smiled politely anyways and shook Bronwyn's hand. "Hi, nice to meet you too," Nessa greeted the girl, sounding oddly cheerful for the rotten mood History always put her in, "I'm Vanessa."

Maybe he was crazy or something, but Lucas was one of the few (or maybe the only) students who actually enjoyed History. Then again, he enjoyed everything. Lucas like to learn, especially about history so he was rather excited to get to the next class that day. With his book bag slung over one shoulder, the blond Ravenclaw entered the room, noticing the set up and raising a curious eyebrow. Off to the side was a helmet that seemed to just be floating there until he realized that someone was actually under it. He couldn't help but chuckle at the site, but turned and found himself a seat at the round table, waiting eagerly for the lesson to begin.

Es walked into the room, not in the mood to be with messed with, by anyone. Truthfully, she just wanted to survive the class, perhaps learn some History, and get classes out of the way so she could go and sulk by herself. Yes, she had gotten what she wanted and she also hadn't gotten what she wanted. She wanted both of them, Dean and Brandon. But she couldn't, and she had chosen Brandon. She knew she couldn't live without him and even though she loved them both, she loved Brandon more.
With a sigh, she sat down near Lucas, figuring he probably wouldn't talk to her, but feeling comfortable sitting next to him since she knew him by name. Es ran her fingers through her long black hair and glanced around the room at her classmates, her eyes lingering on all the ancient artifacts. "Fascinating.." She mouthed, unsarcastically as well. But she groaned, wondering how she'd make it through the day, and took a book out to bury herself in until the class started.

He was a nutter alright, Atwood, but in light of the more recent events Corey was more than willing to overlook this fact for a little while -- at least, he was willing to do so until he entered the room. At the threshold to his higher learning he hesitated a moment before actually entering, you see the sight before him while impressive, again made him wonder about the man's sanity. It was January (?), certainly still right bloody cold to boot, and he expeted them to mess around with metal armor that was quite probably absolutely frigid? Bonkers didn't begin to describe it, not at all.
As his eyes stole a glance at who else was already present and found Tristan, Es and other recognizeable faces. He realized he was quite probably one of the last ones there and that not many of the elder years were pulled form term. Friendly faces but faces who still knew him, this meant slipping away unnoticed was quite likely out of the question without his reasons later being questioned in turn. Bummer.
The Gryffindor entered and offered a brief greeting to Professor Atwood before claiming a chair two over from Es's freeside (that leaves a blank folks). Just how the devil was he expected to get through a class that while it wasn't completely boring, was still about a topic that held no real applicable relevance (in his mind) to his future? It was a mystery to be certain even to him, but he'd try, and int he end he might succeed.
(Ew.)

Seanna was actually looking forward to History of Magic. Not for the class itself, but to see if her Professor was wearing a hat or not. It had nerved Seanna to see her HOH without a hat when she had gone to visit him in his office and since then she had been wondering whether or not if she was ever going to see him with one again. Seanna knew her HOH was crazy... but it just wasn't right not to see him without a hat.
Entering into the room, Seanna let out a sigh of relief to see that her Professor did actually have a hat on his crazy head and Seanna was glad. That meant that that was normal and Seanna liked anything normal, lately. Giving her Professor a small smile, Seanna took a seat near the Slytherin Prefect. "Hi" Seanna said, noticing again that the class was once again intertwined with the sixth and seventh years.
Seanna let her eyes travel around the room and spotted Vanessa sitting there, as well. The girl hadn't seen her around the castle... well, for a long time and she wondered what she had been up too. It was only then that she noticed the cookies, pumpkin juice and butterbeer sitting in the middle of the table. Seanna wrinkled her nose at them and didn't take any of them. Even though the cookies did look really delicious... she just didn't know if they had anything in them and as much she trusted her HOH, she was very wary of food being offered by others... you just never knew what was in them.

It wasn't so much that Deryn despised History, it was just so...boring. Even with Atwood as crazy as he was, the Gryffindor still didn't really find it all that enjoyable. Still, she needed this class because her OWLs hadn't exactly been great and she didn't really have much of a choice now when it came to classes.
Upon entering the room, Deryn first noticed a head of blond hair before anything else. Grinning, she walked over to her Ravenclaw friend, happy to see him after it had been so long. Taking the empty seat beside him, Deryn smiled at him. "Hey stranger," she greeted him.

Lucas smiled back at Deryn as she sat next to him. "Hey stranger to you too," he answered. Looking her over, Lucas raised a curious eyebrow at her oddly chipper mood. The times he'd seen her before, she was something slightly less than chipper but he was glad to see her smile. "What's the occasion?" he questioned regarding her good mood.
