Marvin had been looking foreward to this lesson with his new fourth years he wanted to test just how much these students knew and perhaps teach them something new. Marvin sat calmly upon his desk at the front of his classroom. A university student type hat positioned upon his head.
The classroom, looked alot different to what it used to. A large black cutain was draped accross the back wall, blocking off a section of the classroom and hiding all of Marvins costumes and artifacts in which he used to help teach his lessons. The curtain was closed, leaving what was behind the curtain a mystery to the students for now. But, they would find out soon enough. The chairs for todays lesson had been replaced instead with large coloured bean bags which were positioned all around the room. He didn't want his class writing anything today he had decided upon a discussion.
With a quick wave of his wand Marvin opened the classroom door, opening the room for the admittance of his 4th year students.

Jack walked up to the first floor corridor heading to his History of Magic classroom. The subject was his least favorite and as such he wasn't looking that forward to it, if fact he didn't want to go at all. But it was a required class so he didn't have much choice other than to just skive it off, which he wasn't going to do. So he made his way inside the door of the classroom and was surprised to see that all of the desks had been replaced by bean bag chairs of all colors. This was interesting to him. He hadn't ever seen a professor use bean bag chairs instead of desks, maybe, this lesson would be as boring as he had thought that it would. He said a quick hello to the professor and then took a seat in one of the blue beanbag chairs.

Pat strode into the classroom only about a minute after Jack. It seemed that Gracen, their former History of Magic teacher had taken leave of them already. Well, at least the school had aqcuired a new professor for the job quite quickly. A professor who had taken over the Hufflepuff Head of House job no less, after Ashford had left.
Even though he was his HoH, Pat didn't know too much about Atwood. Enough became apparent upon entering the classroom though. It seemed Atwood had replaced any desks in the room with beanbag chairs of assorted colors. The professor himself was wearing an odd hat upon his head, and he looked a bit quirky. Pat smiled slightly to himself. It seemed the new Huffle HoH had a sense of humor; that could only be a good thing. "Hey, Professor," Pat said to him before plopping down on an orange beanbag next to Jack's. "Goin' strong, dude?" he asked Jack. May as well talk a little before class, right? After all, Pat had no idea what kind of teacher Atwood was; best talk while they were on their own time, just in case.

History of Magic class...what a drag. Anna wasn't really in the mood for listening lectures on goblin revolution or anything that had do do with history. In fact, she wasn't even sure how she left Gryffindor Tower to come here in the first place. Walking down the first floor corridor, still thinking about how boring this was going to be, Anna saw that the classroom door was open. Allowing herself to just waltz or in this case stagger inside. Once inside, Anna really didn't expect to see what she did. There was a new professor, which was not too surprising, but the colorful bean bags around the room were. "Is this guy really a professor?" she thought to herself. She had yet to attend a class where there were bean bags instead of desks. Quickly waving a hello to the professor, she found a seat and sat down on a purple beanbag chair. Now to find out wether this class was going to be boring or not.

Ash stepped into the History of Magic classroom, her eyes drooping in exhaustion. Heh, was this a dream? There were bean bags in the classroom, yeah this was a dream, she shrugged and went in anyway. Looking around the 'classroom' she decided to take a seat, "We are in History of Magic... right?" she asked Pat, seriously.
This looked kind of like a play house with all the different colors, spread around. It wasn't a bad thing or anything, just different. Ash was still extremely confused and surprised, though.

Before Jack could answer his greeting though, Pat heard, to his side, another voice asking him... were they really in the History classroom? Pat smirked slightly, turning his head to look directly at Ash. "Well, assuming all four of us haven't all gone crazy or lost all at the exact same time, yes, I'd say we're in History of Magic," he said, still smiling. Pat could see why this classroom just... didn't have the feel of a classroom. If Professor Atwood was truly imposing his personality on the room, oh, how amusing this class would be this term...

Upon entering the classroom and taking in her surroundings her eyes grew slightly with contained mirth she couldn't believe this was her History of Magic classroom because she'd never been in one like this before. She crossed the room to find a seat but all she found where these stuffed bags on the floor, confused she looked around at the other's in the clasroom from what she saw apparantly they were some type of chair.
After putting her books down she attempted to sit at the edge of the stuffed bag only to find that she slid off it and onto the ground causing her to laugh softly to herself knowing she probably looked stupid. She got up and attempted it one more time. This time she actually managed to stay on the thing but found that she sunk into it, "Okay..... this is.... interesting," Verina said to herself as she bounced a little.

Jack, who had just been about to answer Pat when Ash had walked into the classroom and possed a question, he had to laugh at Pat’s response to her. He, like her, had wondered if he was in the right classroom when he had entered the room, until he saw the professor and knew that he hadn’t made a mistake. For one thing the professor didn’t look shocked to see him there and for another it looked like he was waiting for the class to arrive. “Hi Ash.” he said with a laugh and then turning back to Pat, to address the question he was about to when Ash arrived, said, “Ya I’m doing great, how about you?”
He then watched as yet another Gryffindor entered the classroom. He noticed that she was the same Gryffindor that he had met in Care of Magic Creatures and said, "Hi Verina. They take a bit of getting used to don't they?" indicating the bean bag chairs.

Verina was having too much fun bouncing in her stuffed bag that she spun around in her bean bag as someone said her name as she met their eyes she realized it was the boy she'd met earlier, Jack, "Hey right back at you," she grinned, "I've been missing out. What are they called?" Verina asked with curiosity, "I've never seen one of these before."

"I think that they are called Bean bags, but don't hold me to it." Jack said with a grin. He thought that they were called this, but the only time that he had incountered one of them was when he was shopping with his brother and his brother's friend in America. He couldn't wait to see what the rest of the lesson would turn out to be. He had a feeling that the Professor was a bit odd, but in a good way.

"Bean bags...."Verina replied amusement in her voice, "That's an odd name. I just know about the beans you eat," she grinned, "I've never had a History class like this before," she said glancing around again before meeting Jack's eyes once more, "I thinks it will be interesting.... hopefully," she added since History of Magic had never been a subject that interested her overly much.

"To tell you the truth I even haven't had a history class like this in all my four years at Hogwarts." Jack said with a smile, "The professor is new this lesson. The last professor we had wasn't as, what do I want to call it, quarky. But it should make for an interesting lesson if his personality is at all reflected in the room." He was sure that the teacher had to have some kind of a sense of humor or something to make him cover the room in bean bags and not the normal desks. He was also pretty sure that this wouldn't be the last time that they were shocked when they walked into the class.

"That's good to hear thought i was a tad out of the loop figured they might do some things differently here so was expecting to find surprises," Verina said trying to remain still in her bean bag she never could stay still for too long, "I like surprises one of the reasons i was excited to come here. Aww so we share something in common, both newbies. Quarky i take is a nice way of putting it," she grinned, "I hope so. Interesting is good."

"I didn't know how else to describe him. I mean look at him. Don't you think that quarky fits." Jack said with a smile and a quick glance up at the professor. He found the bean bags to be extremely comfortably and given the chance he was sure that he could fall asleep in one if the lesson got to boring. After all it was history so how interesting could it be? He was though going to do his best to stay awake throught the entire class and knew that if he could make it through the last professor's classes then he could make it through this ones. "Ya you two do have being new in common, but at least you don't have to take a class right in the middle of a year." he said thinking that it would be hard to take over someones class, especially in the center of a term.

Verina cocked her head to the side as she glanced at their professsor, "Hmm..... Yeah i suppose quarky would fit usually somebody would say he seems unique and we all know what the underlaying meaning of that is," she replied giving the professor a smile before looking at Jack. She really wanted the lesson to start to see for herself if their new professor actually turned out to be interesting and not one of those people that just lecture on and on.
"True. Didn't think of that," she said leaning forward slightly so her chin rested on her knuckles, "Well i wish him the best," Verina said in a cheerful tone, "I think i'll be extra good..... at least for the first lesson," she said flashing a smile.
