He was just about ready to lean her back on the sofa and really get a good snog going, when she pulled away from him. He paused and gave her a puzzled look, wondering if he should go in for another kiss, when he heard the noise too. Someone was coming.
He was sure they would be caught, certain that everyone would know exactly what they had been doing simply by the guilty look on his face. When the intruder finally made himself visible, Drew gave a short laugh and a huge sigh of relief. Now all he had to do was calm his furiously beating heart before anyone else showed up.

While Felicity wasn't very worried, figuring if they weren't caught kissing then nothing could be proved, unless her mum had some stored up truth serum on hand, and sure maybe the way she was sitting on Drew wasn't the best way, her mum hadn't said she couldn't. Besides, she liked being close to Drew, being able to touch her nose to his, and see those pretty blue eyes of his so close to hers.
As her dog sauntered into the room, he stopped, looked around, and then continued his walk toward the two of them, nudging at Felicity for a rub behind his ears. Releasing one arm from around her boyfriend, she gave Pahndah a good scratch and then he continued on his rounds, taking his time to get up the stairs and sliding out of view.
Turning back to Drew, she smiled and giggled nervously. "I guess that'll teach us for doing something we aren't supposed to be, huh?"

Drew scratched the back of his neck nervously and nodded back. "Mm-hmm," he answered, not really liking the idea that kissing his girlfriend was something he wasn't supposed to do. He prefered to think of it as being an inappropriate place and time, but it was still something he could do.
But either way, she was right. They shouldn't have been kissing in her parents' house. He was just glad it had been Pahndah who had caught them and not anyone else.
"So, what can we do?" he asked, grinning at her. She had already given him an ittinerary, but honestly, nothing sounded as good as kissing her anymore.

Whenever he looked nervous, she thought he looked awfully cute. And with him scratching his neck, and the look on his face, it made her smile with glee. However, their session had been interrupted and put to an end, which meant they had to find something else, though the dessert she had set out was still relatively untouched, she wasn't hungry anymore.
"Movie?" she questioned. Her family had a number and one in specific she wouldn't mind watching with him again. The offer was available, and though they'd watched a few before at her home, she knew she should show him what they could watch, but she didn't move. There was still too much temptation to force her body parts to move away from him, even if she had plans to snuggle close on the sofa.

Drew nodded eagerly, thinking that a movie would give him the opportunity to sit close to her, put his arm around her, and hold her close. And maybe... maybe they'd watch something scary and suspenseful so she'd feel the need to cling onto him or bury her eyes against his chest. He could definitely go for that. Okay, so he probably wouldn't get another kiss in, but he could still be next to her without worrying too much about what her mum might think if she came downstairs. And if they ended up watching a movie they had already seen before? Well then he wouldn't have to worry about paying attention to the film so much. He found it a little difficult to keep his mind on anything else when she was next to him.
'So what have we got?" he asked, deciding that even a light, romantic comedy would work for him as well. There might be a greater temptation to kiss her if they went that way, but then, he could hardly be blamed for his actions, could he?

"Lots of choices," she told him, touching the end of her nose to his and rubbing them together for a moment. "Come on, you can choose." Sliding off of him, she stood and held her hand out to him so she could show the selection. There was everything from animations to drama, to horror, to fantasy, and everything in between. Ever since Lindsay and Cherry had learned how to purchase movies online, they'd gone a little crazy, and they weren't the only ones. The two girls though had a fascination with American films that contained romance and particular actors, though Felicity had no real preference.
"We can watch any of these," she told him, opening the cabinet door to their collection. "Except those," she continued, pointing at a small section that were all marked as home videos. They weren't of the best quality, and she didn't really like them too much, considering most of them focused on her when she was younger after most of her siblings had moved out and on with their lives and before they'd taken so many back in.

He gave a small, low giggle when she rubbed her nose against his, loving the sensation but remembering how much he wanted to kiss her all over again. He'd resist, but if she kept doing stuff like that, he wasn't sure how long his resolve would last.
She led him to the cabinet though he still wasn't particular about what he wanted to see. Whatever movie they watched he'd be able to sit next to her and put his arm around her.
"Why not those?" he asked, eyeing the home videos. He was pretty sure his parents had their own collection of embarassing moments on film, but they were all in California. Her home videos were right there. "When will I get to see them?"

"Because they're not the kind of movies I'm thinking of," she answered quickly with an embarrassed smile. There were the normal shots, her playing on the field, helping her mum bake cookies, hamming it up, and then there were the really embarrassing ones of her throwing a fit, trying to dance, singing, when she was in a school drama, etc. "When?" she asked, making a move to black off that particular section of the selection. "When you marry me and we have a child and I'm trying to show you why we shouldn't record every moment of our child's life."
Though her parents hadn't recorded every moment, since they hadn't had a recorder her whole life, there were no first steps, first haircut, rocking her to sleep, and so on. They had a number of embarrassing moments though, and while she'd been embarrassed in front of Drew often enough, these were different embarrassments, and if her parents weren't bringing the videos out, she didn't feel the need to make him sit through any of it. "Besides, I'm not ready for you to see me in the tub yet," she told him with a sly smile. "Nor am I ready to share the whole experience of me and my rubber ducky's world with my boyfriend. I don't think he'd quite like it."

"That sounds like a long way away," he said with a wide grin, noticing the use of the M word and though it made him servous, he couldn't help playing off of it. "And I think I'll definitely need to see them before that."
He was pretty sure there couldn't be anything too embarassing on the tapes and of course her refusal only made him want to see them more. Why wouldn't he want to get a glimpse into the life of the little girl who grew up to be the girl he loved? He wanted to know everything about her and this was part of all that.
"What if we skip the tub shots?" he asked starting up a small little dance. "So the ducky won't get embarassed..."

"I hope it really isn't that long away," she answered honestly with a smile. Though, it really did sound like a long ways away before they'd be able to be together without a long distance or school being in the way. First her in school and him in London, then him in London and her at the research facility in Kenya. That was it, three long years, then they could be together, hopefully. No one else really crossed her mind of who she wanted to be with him, and definitely no one more than Drew. "I don't really think you need to see those... I mean, they're just of me being a show-off, or throwing a fit, and just stuff like that, and the tub."
"Mr Quackers wouldn't ever be embarrassed," she answered snubbly in play. "He just wouldn't like to share our time with anyone else just yet." She knew that Drew knew she didn't want him to see such things, but she didn't mind playing with him for a bit, at least. "Besides, if we watch those how can I possibly put my arms around you when I'm holding my face?" Embarrassment, fear, whatever you wanted to call it, she'd be burying that lovely face of hers in her hands and not coming out for anything.

It was at least three years by his plan, and while he knew that Felicity might have her own thoughts on the matter, he didn't think any plan she had would be any sooner than that. They had discussed three years, with the distinct possibility to be rediscussed after that. Maybe it didn't sound that far off, but considering it would be three years spent mostly apart, it sounded like an eternity to him.
"Sounds like Mr. Quackers is afraid of some competition," he answered, dancing a little more before poking her in the side playfully. "And I want to see them. You really wouldn't be that embarassed, would you?" If she wanted to see embarassing, he'd show her his Teddy, the little stuffed bear he had packed in his trunk every year he had gone to Hogwarts.

"Competition?" she asked suddenly, eyes wide, wondering if she'd given him the wrong impression. "N-no," she said quickly, shaking her head. "I-I mean, I'm not...there's no way, I can't." Competition? Between Mr Quackers and Drew? There couldn't be, not for a very, very long time. Sure, swimming with Drew was fun, but she definitely wasn't ready to climb into a bath tub with him either. That was a level they hadn't nearly gotten close enough to, and she didn't plan on until at least marriage, and that was a number of years away at least.
The fact he was still trying to get her to let him see the tapes had flitted from her mind, she was too focused on the fact she thought he thought she was offering to share such a time with him. And that was the furthest from her mind.

He really wasn't sure why she had gotten so flustered suddenly over competing for her affection with a rubber duck. He had only been teasing, pretty sure he held her affection more than a plastic toy.
Then again...
Maybe there was more to her embarassment than just what was first thought. Was she hiding some footage of an old boyfriend? If so, why? It wasn't like she didn't know about his past and he thought he had been pretty clear and open if she had any questions or concerns about Alhana. Would she really hide something like that from him.
"Uh... Okay..." he answered just a little nervously. Whatever it was she was hiding, he wasn't sure he should push it. "Uh... We can... uh... watch The Princess Bride then. I was... I was just... teasing about the home movies... "

Controlling her breathing was a little difficult, considering what was now on her mind. It had been the furthest thing, but now the topic had been brought up, well, she needed something else to focus on. Unfortunately, she wasn't sure what to think about what Drew thought. He obviously thought she'd been offering something, but at the same time it didn't sound right, considering she knew Drew knew she wasn't ready for anything like that. and the fact he hadn't mentioned being ready either, then, hopefully he still wasn't ready for that.
"I'm sorry," she apologized quickly, more than willing to just watch their favourite movie, but feeling the need to tell him. "I'm just...I'm not...not for a while, because...well, I'm not ready for that. I mean, we're not ready, are we? I know I'm not so we can't be, but are you?"
It was a worry she had, that he'd be ready some day, and she wouldn't be, or she wouldn't be around to be and something else would happen. Of course, deeper she knew he wouldn't do something like that, but it was a fear she had.

Now he was REALLY confused.
"I... but... I thought... I thought it was your favorite..." he stuttered out, knowing he couldn't have misinterpreted that. He really hadn't expected her to say no to that particular movie. She had flat out told him that she loved The Princess Bride and they had teased each other often using lines from the film. In fact, calling her Buttercup was just about the only pet name he ever used for her. How had he gotten that wrong?
