Franco did not noticed he still had his hand on hers till Hikaru came back and she offered the other hand to the boy. His first thought was took his hand back a little bit worried that she would take his action in a bad way, but then he changed his mind. If that had bothered her he should have been slapped straight away or she would have pulled her hand, which she didn't... and to be honest it really feels good, have her and on his.
He just smiled as looked at her attempts to speak with Hikaru, which was one of the many things he liked of her, and though give her a little of a help.
He pressed her hand soflty as leaned closer and whispered.
"A loly, a jelly, another jelly, another jelly, anoter jelly" he said smirking finding the kid's antics just funny. He had noticed that they weren't jellies in any case he did not thought in correct the kid just yet.
"And there is no more" he translated finally though it was obvious what the boy was saying just looking at his doings, but translating it anyway. Thinking it betther perhaps there was no need of any translation but for some reason he could not help but do it, help her understand the boy. Perhaps because it was hard for him when he first had to get use of the english, he knew perfectly how annoying could be have people talking another language, even when it was so basic like the spanish Hikaru handled.

Feeling the slight pressure as Franco gently squeezed her hand, Rael's face grew warm, but that was nothing to the glow when he whispered in her ear. It was nothing romantic, merely a translation, but it still felt oddly nice, hearing his voice so softly and so close. And though she'd held her hand out to Hikaru, and he was filling it with the sweets he'd obtained from the lady, she couldn't help but smile. Spanish was not her language, and she didn't mind Franco helping, especially in the way he currently was.
"But Hikaru, there's lots more still. Look at all of those houses," she pointed with her hand holding the candies. "They all have sweets just for you, so let's put these back in here..." she told him, dropping the five pieces in his pumpkin bucket, "and go see what they have to give you, hmmm?"
Once more, she held her hand out to the child, wondering if he'd actually prefer to hold his father's hand. She knew she liked it...

Franco just listened Rael talking with Hikaru the way she was doing and could not help feel a little sad. In all this time he did not remember his ex-wife talking like that with the baby, and still there was this woman that treated his boy as his own mother never did. But this feeling did not last much as he did not want to ruin the day for the baby.
"Oh oh! And don't forget to say 'Trick or treat!' OK?... I mean..." he corrected himself just then realizing the kid might not understand him at all "Di 'Trick or treat'. Anda alla..." he said pointing the next house "y di 'trick or treat!!!' OK?" he instructed the boy hurrying him and encouraging him to fill his bucket of candies.

Hikaru felt even more excited at the idea of get more candies, and he was almost to run off them when suddenly daddy reminded him about the the 'trick or treat' part. Of course! He had totally forgot of that.
The boy nodded vigorously and rushed to the next house, the bucket balancing on his hand, giggling already as he could not hold the excitment down.
"Tick ooo.. ooo.. teetee! Tick oo Teetee!" he called out as hard as he could, his face turning slihgtly pink for the effort. He had not idea of what on earth he was saying but if daddy was telling him to do so, then it was for something.

Trick-or-treat wasn't something Rael would've thought to say either. Why muggles would ask, or claim it, she wasn't sure because she knew that of course if someone didn't get a treat, they'd like be tricked, right? Was that the point? To say it and see what they'd be given? It was odd, at least to the brunette, considering she'd grown up in a magical world, no muggle artifacts unless it was necessary. And even then, her mother often complained if her father had anything anti-magical. But one thing about this experience, it made her wonder if Franco had grown up with a muggle background, or if he'd just had more muggle friends than she had. It was likely.
There were few friends Rael had made in her lifespan, and even most of them she'd lost touch with. Beni was due soon, she knew, if the girl hadn't already had her child, and other than she, Rael hadn't kept up with anyone. Corey was out of her apartment by now, and so her contact with Hogwarts students had fallen through the floor.
As Hikaru ran to the house, she had to giggle at how he said the words. The child sounded like a bird rather than a bat. Maybe they could say he was a cuckoo clock, but with a bat instead of a bird.
"I think he's enjoying himself," she commented to the person holding her hand. "And I am too..."

Franco smiled pleased to hear she was having a good time too, even when they were holding hands now that seemed not to bother her at all and probably she actually liked it as much as he did.
"This is the first time for you, uh? Halloween in the muggle world?" he asked just to start some sort of conversation with her. Part of him was not sure of what he was doing, all this time he had avoided get too personal with her afraid to be asked for his past, just contenting himself with the information she provided about herself on her own accord. But he could not resist but ask and know more about her any longer, he wanted to know about her, he needed to.

"Mmhmm," Rael hummed. "Both of my parents were from magic-based families, and we don't really celebrate Halloween like this. Before I started attending school we used to go to formal dances held by family friends, and there'd be music and dancing and food, but nothing like this." This was something she could see her father enjoying, despite the fact her mother would've been dead-set against it. Being able to dress up in a silly costume, hand out candy to children dressed in the same way, and decorate with such oddities, it was up her father's ally.
"I take it you've done this before?" she asked in return, wondering a little about himself. While she hardly pried, she was curious. She saw very little chance of him being from the social circles her mother was in, meaning he likely was at least half-blood, but maybe things were different in Peru? Perhaps the worlds were more integrated, unlike in Europe.

"When I was little..." Franco answered chuckling slightly "like 3 or 4 years probably. Mom used to take me mostly, dad travelled a lot. But then she started working too and all this was forgotten." he just said sighing not really aware that probably he was saying too much already. He had been very careful in the past not to take subjects about his family or his past, however after so many time sharing so nice moments with Rael had just made him forgot this little rule he had imposed to himself.
It was surely the combination of things, his boy doing this funny muggle custom and sharing this moment with a woman like Rael, he felt so in confidence that it felt like be at home for the first time since he had settle in Europe.

Forgotten? Perhaps in a muggle world, even something like this could be left out of a life due to prior engagements and busy schedules? Hearing him finally talk of something about himself made her feel good, he often was very guarded about the information he told her, which she'd never known how to take. Did he avoid it because he didn't trust her? Because it didn't feel right to speak of it? Because it didn't seem important? Did it matter since he was currently speaking of a little? Not really, and Rael rather enjoyed hearing him speak. His voice was tainted with an accent she found interesting as she didn't encounter such often, and sometimes it was difficult to understand him, but she didn't mind.
Knowing Hikaru wasn't very old, she doubted Franco had taken his son out for such a thing before, and didn't feel the need to ask if they (he and Hikaru's mother) had done this before. Actually, that was something she had sort of wished Franco would talk about. She knew nothing of his relationship with his child's mother. Had she passed? Was she alive? And if so, why weren't she and Franco together? Why was it Franco took care of their son? The questions were never ending, but she didn't want to push him on the subject either. After all, Rael had never known what to think of her relationship with the man either.
"I'm curious about something," the brunette started, taking a side-long glance at him. "I don't care either way, but I'm just wondering; and you don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable doing so, but... Did you grow up with a muggle background?" Her words were hushed, hidden from passersby, and if he chose not to answer, she wouldn't ask again. She'd be curious, but he'd tell her in time she supposed.

"Not really." Franco answered with a smile not yet aware of how open he was now being with her but enjoying the conversation, he had not talked so frankly with someone since long time and she was making him feel so relaxed and comfortable that he was not finding any wrong in the conversation.
"Most things I know about muggles, I learned it after I came on age. My family is... not too open with muggle culture. My mom and dad were... but no the rest of my family." he just said trying not to go deep into that though not losing his good mood yet. There still were wizards families that felt that way anyway, and even when there were wizards claiming not to have any problems with muggle ways they hardly had ever tried or met with one.

"Papa papa!!" Hikaru returned all excited with more candies on his pumpkin "Mama... mm... Dael" he corrected himself remembering daddy had taught him her name, though he forgot to say aunt... dad did never call her aunt he jus called her Rael.
"Ete pa ti! mm... Ete pa ti!" he said just sharing one candy with each of them... the smaller ones "Ete miooo!" he said at once showing them a big lolli just to state to the records that THAT CANDY WAS HIS.
