July 1st 2009 Jason found himself in a harness high above his uncles boat in Seattle harbor. He was replacing the giant deck lights the lit up the deck surface at night. Jason had just gotten done replacing the second bulb on the first mast when his Uncle walked out onto the deck.
"Hows it coming" his uncle asked in a loud voice
"this would be alot easier if I could use magic" he yelled
"well you cant and until then"
Jason shook his head "yeah yeah, damned rule" Jason went back to work moving to the third light. I was a abnormally sunny for Seattle. Jason wasn't going to be able to find out anything about the stone that mac left him till he got home so he figured he might as well go about life normally, for now. Jason popped the cover off the third light. He was kinda disappointed that he had not herd form Delilah all summer, he had planned to write her himself but kept getting side tracked for some reason. Well if worse came to worse he would see her on the train back to school in September. He took a deep breath and took the large bulb out. He looked down and saw his uncle waiting for the bulb to be lowered down to him by rope, but a person caught his eye looking up at him from the dock....

Delilah had kept low during the summer. Not really hearing word from her friends, nor was she sending letters to any of them. The summer had been relaxing, and although it was a drastic change from Hogwarts, she was actually enjoying herself.
She had brought up Jason with her parents, and how if they would let her, she'd like to go to Seattle and visit him for perhaps a week or two. Her mother had frowned and disapproved, but her father discussed it with her further and decided she could go. Her dad even helped her pack, and brought her to their fireplace. Her father placed a loving hand on her shoulder and told her to have fun. She hugged him, and smiled, "Thanks dad, and I hope mum doesn't give you too much of a hard time for this." She said, grinning. He smiled back and shook his head, "Oh hon, you're able to make your own decisions, keep out of trouble though..." He said, giving her his best fatherly look.
Delilah smiled as she stood in the fireplace, and waved a last good bye at her father. She let go of the flu powder and said where she wished to go. The vision of her father soon turned to engulfing green flames and she was shot out of another fire place. She stood up quickly and walked out of the building, and out into the open. Where she'd find Jason, she hadn't the slightest idea, but she was up for adventure.
Seattle was a lot prettier than Delilah expected. She was wearing grey runners, and blue over-alls, hair down past her shoulders. Delilah had done a lot of growing up already, she was becoming a young lady. She walked onto a dock and was staring into the sky, her luggage with her. She missed being able to use magic, but didn't mind it as much as she thought she would. Delilah looked up, spotting a familiar face. She smiled and offered a small wave at Jason. Would he be surprised and happy to see her? Or surprised and disappointed... He seemed pretty pre-occupied.

Jason looked closer, was it... no it couldn't be. When she waved at him he smiled, "Delilah?!" he said loudly. He he laughed and unhooked the clip then lowered himself down to the deck of the boat. "I don't believe it" he said as he unhooked himself from the rope. He almost couldn't believe his eyes. Jason walked over and crossed the wooden plank that led from the boat deck to the dock. He smiled warmly and walked over to Delilah. "you have know idea how happy I am to see you, I thought I was gonna die of boredom"

Delilah's smile brightened at how Jason responded. His whole face lit up, he left his post immediately, and he approached her with ease. She had forgot how nice it felt to see a familiar face. With all the thoughts going through her head, she gave him a small hug, reaching her arms around his neck and pulling him a little bit closer. Yes, he is indeed real. She sighed and pulled away from him, offering a grin, "Oh, so now I'm just a distraction eh?" She said, looking from her luggage back to him, looping her thumbs through her over-all straps, "I'm happy to see you too Jas." She said, trying a new nick name.

When Delilah gave Jason a small hug he hugged her back. He still couldn't believe it was her. He was really happy now. It was a complete surprise for Jason. Did she write him and Jason did not get the letter, or had Kaylee been intercepting his mail again? whatever he didn't care, she was here and that all that matted.
Jason laughed "no no I'm really happy that you are here, welcome to Seattle" he said with a big grin
Out of nowhere a loud voice came over the intercom on the boat. "hey lover boy, when your face returns to normal color, put her stuff in the back of the truck and replace that last bulb" Jason's uncle said from the wheel house.
Jason turned around and looked up at the wheel house where his uncle was laughing. he turned back to Delilah "Meet my uncle wash... he is his own biggest fan" Jason said sarcastically. "here let me take that for you" he said nodding toward her luggage.

Delilah grinned, looking at Jason, who had indeed turned a tad pinker. She didn't mind, it was adorable. Delilah nodded and laughed lightly, "Quite a welcome indeed, lover boy." She said, winking. Maybe her summer would turn up with a few memories afterall. Delilah looked at where the voice was coming from and caught sight of the so-called Uncle Wash. She waved at him, and smiled back at Jason, "You sure it's ok I stay with you?" She asked, hoping she could. She'd brought enough stuff for a couple weeks. She looked to Jason, who was admirably taking her things for her, and smiled at him her approval.

Jason's face turned a brighter shade of red and smiled "yes and he had to say that over the boats intercom so it would echo through the whole boat yard" he said picking up her luggage.
"Yeah its fine my aunt and uncle don't care, for them its more the marry, and me, you can stay as long as you want" Jason said putting Delilah's luggage into the back of his uncles truck. He saw her smile at him. he turned fully around and leaned his back against the truck. "what?" he said half laughing with a grin

Delilah grinned, glad that she wasn't the one being embarassed for once. Delilah nodded, walking around to other side of the truck. She hadn't ever been in a car before, and she wasn't sure if she was looking forward to riding in one either. "Awesome, then I'll stay as along as you'll have me." Delilah said with a small grin, happy to be welcome and finally see a friend. Delilah laughed lightly and let herself blush a little, he had caught her staring at him. "Oh nothing, just happy to be here with you." She said, offering a quick smile, before looking over at the water surrounding her.

Jason smiled and walked up beside her the boat yard wasn't much to look at but as soon as the boat was ready to go Jason was planning to take Delilah out on the water. he gave her a small playful bump "hey I'm gonna finish this light then we'll head to the house" Jason said.
Jason walked back to the boat and crossed the wooden bridge that lead to the deck. He turned around "you can come aboard just watch you step" Jason said leaning against the rail waiting for her to com aboard. He held out his hand to help her across

Delilah grinned, and did her best not to trip and fall flat on her face as she took a few steps on board. Delilah took Jason's hand and eased herself next to him. Judging by his grip, he was a pretty strong, yet, gentle man. She held onto his hand just a moment past what was necessary before letting go. "So," she started, taking a look around, "anything I can do to help?" She asked. This place was pretty shabby, and she was eager to do things... She did come from an all wizarding family, but she did want to try at the very least.

Jason smiled when she hoped on board. He looked around when he asked if she could do anything. "no not really, I just have to change this last bulb and I'm done for the day" Jason said walking over to the mast. He re-hooked his harness to the rope. He pulled him self up to the three lights. He popped the cover off and switched out the bulbs.
As soon as he replaced the cover the clip on his harness snapped. "o sh..." Jason yelled as he was sent falling into the water barley missing the rail. He popped back up and took a deep breath. "aww damn it" he said swilling to the side of the large crab boat.
His uncle ran out to the deck and looked over the side of the boat "you okay" he asked looking at Jason in the water
Jason nodded "yeah I'm fine throw me the ladder" he yelled back

Delilah nodded, "Well alright, can't say I tried..." She said, crossing her arms as he ascended the rope up to where the light must've been. "I'll wait for you." She said, smiling up at him, admiring him from every angle as he worked his way up. She really was happy to be here, he made her smile without even trying... Maybe she'd share with him what had all happened over the summer for her, but that wouldn't happen for a while, she still had trust issues.
Delilah sucked in a deep breath as she watched Jason plummet into the water, and rushed to the railing, which he had barely managed to miss. Her small pale hands gripped the railing with force, and she bit her bottom lip, knowing it wouldn't be appropriate to yell for him. Delilah looked at Jason's uncle and watched as he threw down the ladder to him. Delilah looked around for blankets or something, but if there was any, she couldn't see them. She just hoped he would be ok once he got out of the water, and she was so glad he was a strong swimmer.

Jason swan over to the ladder. He grabbed on and climbed up it and climbed up on the deck, He stood up straight and shook the water out of his hair then looked over to Delilah "you okay you look a little pale" he said smiling
"are you okay" Jason's uncle asked him
Jason nodded his head "yeah I'm fine" he said looking at his busted clip.
"Check your gear next time" Jason's uncle said walking back to the wheel house
Jason rolled his eyes "i did" he muttered taking off the harness. he looked over to Delilah "I give my self 8 for the fall a 2 for the landing" he said grinning

Delilah nodded a response, she was fine, just worried about Jason of course, but before she could say anything, his uncle had asked if he was ok for her. She watched the men bicker and such and grinned, boys will be boys. After his uncle left, Delilah laughed at what Jason said next. She looked over the railing and back at him with a sly grin, "How about 10 for the look on your face, 1 for the splash you made, honestly, that was pathetic." She said, obviously joking, but she honestly just couldn't help herself. Delilah walked over to Jason, and stuck her hands in her pockets, "So, are we all done over here?" She asked, smiling up at him. Sometimes, she didn't like being reminded of the fact that she was so much shorter than everyone else, but for once, she didn't mind Jason towering over her. She felt... protected almost.

Jason laughed "what did you want me to do?! A cannon ball!" Jason said hanging the body harness on the railing. Jason looked up at the wheel house. His uncle was still working, and the house was only about 5 minuets away from the docks. He smiled when she got close to him "wanna a hug" he said still dripping wet.
"yeah I'm done, looks like hes not though, I'll go see if I can take the truck" Jason said walking into the house of the large boat. He came back out a few seconds with a smile on his face "were good you ready" Jason said with a grin.
