Ty had arrived at the platform with his mom, dad, and twin sister. He had been having a blast over the break hanging out with all of his friends back home as well as his family. He had even managed to meet up with a couple of his friends from school as well. Pulling his trunk along he noticed that a little girl, firstie by the looks of it, was having problems determining how to get her luggage on the train. "I'll be back," he said to his family as he set his trunk down beside them. Walking over to were Trixi was he said, "Want me to help you with that?" He wasn't usually this nice, but he was in an extremely good mood and it did look like she needed the help.
After helping Trixi with whatever she needed help with he returned to where his family was. Then spotting his friends he smiled. "Well I guess I am off to get a seat," he said as he turned his attention back to his parents and sister. Once the goodbyes were said and his family had turned to leave he walked casually over to where Jynx was at. "Hey guys," he said with a smile to all three of them. "Don't you think we should find a compartment before all of the firsties take them all?" he asked with a small laugh.

Corey wasn't gernerally one for omens, but after recalling what the weather had been at the end of the year prior, the beginning of this one wasn't looking all too bright either. The ominously dark sky moaned with another low rumble of thunder as bolt and flash seemed to arch through the air. So much for a quick trip to the pitch on arrival...oh...that's right...he couldn't do that normally...
His right hand ran over the silver colored badge attached to his robes once again. It seemed unblieveable, that he of all people would get the honor of Head Boy. Merlin knew he didn't deserve it, and just like his Prefecthsip, he really didn't want it. But, it was given to him, and there's no sense in getting out of the pool before you're even past the shallow end now is there?
As everyone was boarding the train, Corey was walking off, not completely per say but at least to the edge of the car he was currently reesiding. First years were scurrying, older students were...also scurrying, the countdown clock to Hogwarts was nearing it's peak....which, meant he had to get forward to the Head's compartment...presuming, it was still where it had been last year.
On with the show... Corey thought to himself as he decided to use the platform, rather than the cars themselves to get forward. Less traffic to worry about.
(At this point I'm not sure who's on the Platform anymore, so if anyone wants to hold me up, be my guest.)

The hustle and bustle of departure day seemed to increase tenfold this year as the Thornton party seemed to be on edge. Drew and his cousin Jeremy pushed the trunk laden trolly through the barrier with Ari close behind with the pets. The parents followed soon after, still having the same discussion they had been having all summer.
Drew's mother had a tendancy to speak in low tones and added with the noise on the platform, it was rather difficult to hear her, but Drew knew exactly what she was saying to his father. Even as they stood there in front of the bright red steam engine, she wanted him to go back home.
They had asked him and he had considered staying in California for a while, but after thinking it over long and hard, he had decided he wanted to go back... he had to go back. His parents hadn't been thrilled, but his dad at least had backed him up.
"He's not a boy anymore, Lolly," he heard his father say and Drew turned away, pretending he hadn't heard it, poking Jeremy in the side. "Check it out. Pretty cool, huh?" he asked, nodding to the train.

Art smirked as he walked over to Nico, It was good to see him, Art DID manage to get eh Broom and wanted to tell Nico 'bout it cause noci was cool, and with a little bit'o luck Nico might become like an older brother, he was one of Art's favorite people. he Approached Nico and said "'Ello Nico" With a soft smile, it was going to be a good year, No Devil... or at least not much of one.... Anita stepped through the barrier after her son beaming with pride he was a wizard and he was a seeker, Art had scrounged up som pictures of him flying with a snitch in his and and other memorobililia of Quidditch so she finally caved in and got her son the Thunder Phoenix broom he wanted, She e ven got him more magic Hair dye in all kinds of colors who knows what he would do with it though.... " Honey! Who is your friend here?" She asked Eyeing Nico like one would eye a peice of rotten meat. Unfortunately Nic was used to only one person calling him Nico and it was the annoying devil girl. Nic turned and when he realized it was Arti he smiled. "Yo, don't scare a nig like that. Calling me her nickname." Nic visibly shuddered. "Ya, it's gonna be da bestest year wid her bein gone." Nic looked at what he assumed was Arti's mom and he cocked an eyebrow. He was used to gettin that look from either the rich folks or folks you didn't like the color of his skin. "Yo, ma. My name is Nicolae Torque. But you can call me your sweet thang." Nic gave her his most adulterous look. It was his half cocky half innocent look. He couldn't help himself. He automatically felt defensive. He also didn't stop himself from looking Arti's mom up and down like she was also a kind of meat. Nic smiled at Arti and hoped he got the look in his face that was supposed to be 'no offense dawg.'

Jeremy Taylor was less than thrilled to be going to Hogwarts. He knew of the successes of his older cousins (heck, even their failures sounded pertty cool): Allegra making Head Girl in her sixth year, Drew as prefect, top in their classes, quidditch champions four years running. It was a lot to live up to.
And here he was. Mr. Nobody. He had been pulled out of his last school two years ago because of problems in and out of the classroom. How was he supposed to do anything in a brand new school thousands of miles away from his home?
And then there were the problems of saftey to deal with now. His mother seemed on edge, going back and forth between saying Jeremy wouldn't go to Hogwarts and telling him all of the things he needed to do to keep safe there. His dad was concerned, but kept quiet and Jeremy knew that it was because his father felt as alien here as he did. The thougth wasn't very comforting to Jeremy.
Drew poked him and Jeremy complained, but didn't strike back. "Pretty cool, huh?" his older cousin said with a grin. Jeremy had to agree that it was.
"So now what do we do?" he asked Drew, sticking close to his cousin.

Normally, Drew would have been running around the platform, finding excitement, catching up with friends, making plans. Jeremy had mentioned that he already knew a couple of people (a claim supported by both of Jeremy's parents and Allegra as well), but Drew didnt' think the kid was ready to go off exploring on his own yet. Besides, leaving their parents' sights would probably freak out some of them at this point.
"We wait for them to release us," Drew answered with a smirk, nodding towards the adults as they continued their discusions.

"You stay close to Drew while you're there!" his mother was demanding for the millionth time and Jeremy, sick and tired of hearing it, just slumped on a nearby bench waiting for it all to be over. In another ten minutes, she be insisting that they all go home.
"Jeannie, we don't even know what house Jeremy will be in," Drew's mom interupted, also pointing out that they would be in totally different classes to boot.
"Then you better ask for Ravenclaw!" Jeremy's mother continued. When someone pointed out it didn't work that way, his mother threw her hands up in the air and insisted they just go back home to the states.

“Wow, that’s cool.” He grinned. “Well, I best go and find my seat…I’ll see you around school, then? Bye.” He waved and then grabbed the handle of his suitcase and hurried off towards the train.
With only a little bit of difficulty he got himself and all his trunk on the train in one piece. At first it seemed all the compartment were full. He didn’t really want to go looking for a compartment that was empty because the halls were packed and hard to maneuver through so he just set about finding a rather empty one.

"I'll watch out for him, whatever house he gets into," Drew interjected, swooping in on the parents to steal away his baby cousin Sarah from her father's arms. It was true that the Sorting Hat made the decision, but Drew had a feeling that your house selection was something you could negotiate. The hat had thought about putting Drew in Slytherin six years ago, but Drew, in a bout of nervousness about being alone in a new school, had thought about joining his sister in Ravenclaw. In the end, Drew thought it had been the better match.
"Drew! Be careful!" his aunt worried as Drew airplaned the four year old towards the Express.
"I'm right here. I just want to show her the train, okay?" he asked, kicking himself for not being mindful of his aunt's worry. If she really got nervous, Drew would return the little girl to her father's arms.

"Hopefully," she replied to Matty with a smile before the girl hurried off to find her mates. The hurrying of all the students told her it was getting closer to the time of the scarlet train's departure, her excitement intensified within her stomach; at least she was only excited and not feeling ill. Turning her light brown eyes upward, toward the dark sky, she couldn't help but smile, even with the bits of lightening and thunder. Felicity didn't see the weather as a forewarning, instead she found it to merely be the weather.
"Let's go find one then," she smiled at Michael. Taking a last glance around the platform, she spotted a few others she'd met by chance over the summer; immediately she felt a bit of relief flood over her, at least she recognized a few familiar faces, and didn't feel extremely alone in the sea all around. The blond's eyes landed on the other boy she'd met by chance at the quidditch shoppe. Before boarding the train with Michael, she grinned slightly and waved. "Hello Corey!" she shouted just loud enough for him to hear her.

At any moment, Charlotte anticipated the possibility of just jumping in the train and being away from the ruckus that accumulated as more people piled onto the platform. She brushed a hand through her new blonde hair and swished it to one side of her head. She didn't remember ever having this much of a lack of focus on her goals. Maybe it was the teenage hormones or such, but she just felt like enjoying herself. Obviously no enjoyment would come from the throng of little kids and their parents.
At last, though, her prayers were answered. To her avail, the compartments were now open for use. Standing up from the bench, she adjusted her bag and straightened her black skirt, admiring it a bit more before she would have to change into the horrid school colors of Hogwarts. Why anyone would want to represent such a school muddled with mudbloods was beyond her.
With a sigh, she headed straight into the Express, not before having some underclassmen bump into her, their eyes obvious fixated on the workings of the magical world. Muggleborn, she concluded in one breathing thought that resulted outwardly in a scowl. "Watch it--!" She called out, applauding herself for not throwing in a derogatory name before she was even inside the train. Grabbing hold of the bars before piling into the train, she caught a small sight of one her targets. Andrew.. Drew... she thought, but for only a moment. She would have to catch up on her good friend later on. For now, she would search for an open compartment, and try to keep it to herself as much as possible.

"Save me from the horror that is David Kendrick," Finn hissed in response, groaning as he hauled his trunk up with him and set off to find a compartment for the two of them. He would have preferred to sit near the back but he was sure most of those compartments would be taken already.
"He just doesn't need to be like that," Finn continued to complain to Keagan, "Deryn puts up with it, but I don't want you to have to as well. He's so weird."

"AHHH!!" yelled Tristan.
Tristan was riding his trolley and then ended up crashing into the wall. Causing him to fall and all his luggage to fall out of his trolley. Even the trolley fell. "Ow," he yelped. He then rose from the ground painfully.
"Man that was fun! I'm going to do it again!" he yelled.
"No your not, young man. I can't honestly believe. Samuel, you do not learn from that," said Grandma Celly.
"I'm just glad Aaron wasn't on the trolley," Tristan chuckled. "Just this once?"
"No"
"Why?"
"Tristan...."
"Fine!"
He said slowly picking up the luggage and placing it all on the trolley again. Looking at his Grandmother to see any last words. Just hopefully she doesn't ask...
"Write every week," said Grandma Celly.
Tristan groaned. "Why! I get bored doing it. There's nothing to even write about!"
"Tristan how on earth did Hogwarts make you prefect?" asked Grandma Celly.
"Because they know I'm worthy," Tristan said joking. Before Grandma Celly said anywords Tristan already made inside the Express.

"I thought he left," Keagan answered, poking her tongue out at Finn as he dragged his trunk along the corridor. "Hey, Mr. Mad? Where are you going? Compartment is this way." Keagan's things, after all, were already stashed on the train. The comment to Mr. Kendrick was only meant to help Finn get him to go away.
"If I'm around for as long as I would like to be around, don't you think I should get to know your father for who he really is? Besides, I like him; he reminds me of someone very dear to my heart," Keagan said, stopping a moment to smile at Finn, then walking again. "And I think there are more embarassing things he could have said, anyway."

Finally! After spending a year away from the country, Jason was going back to Hogwarts. But he couldn't really get onto the Hogwarts Express without faceing a truck load of questions from his aunt. "Jason, did you remember to back all of you school supplies? Because I did not go through all the trouble of buying new school robes just so you would lose them again."
"Yes Miranda, I have my robes, books and anything else you want to think of." Jason said for the millionth time. The woman wouldn't stop asking him the same question throughout the taxi ride there. That and always wispering to him how in the world could muggles even live with the way they do things. "I'll see you for Christmas possibly alright? Let me know if my mum will be in town and give her my best."
"Will do, and Jason-" his aunt continued but Jason was already on the train. If his mind wasn't playing tricks on him, he could have sworn that he saw the face of Tristan Howard for a few seconds. Well, time to pay Mr. Howard a little surprise... he thought.
