Tianne shook her head as everyone proceeded to announce themselves before her. She had wanted to make herself known by name, but she was just nervous. Just as she was about to stand and say her name, house and year, a boy came in, interrupted the meeting. He looked a lot older than Tianne, but that was normal to her. She was the youngest at the meeting, but she just hoped that eeryone still took her seriously. Who was theother prefect though, was it still Hiro, the same as last year? Or was it someone knew, after all, where was Hiro?
As the boy stood there, Tianne looked up at him. He seemed rude to Tianne, but she wasn't sure whether or not eveyone else took the same impression of him. After all, Tianne has been known to be wrong, she's not perfect. The younger girl knew that someone had to break the silence, so she decided that this was her time to shine. "Uh... um... Tianne Webster-Barrett. I'm in Ravenclaw, fifth year." She said, standing up, and regretting it almost instantly. What would the boy say to the girl for trying to take the soptlight off him? Maybe he was just one of those... one of those types

The other Slytherin Prefect arrived with an attitude, leaving two of Drew's best friends to be the only ones missing from the meeting.
Damian, he recognized from Celina's birthday. It had been an event he wouldn't want to repeat, despite celebrating with the Ravenclaw. Damina had been about as rude as they came and Drew had avoided him at all costs.
"You're excused then," Drew told the boy with a smirk, figuring if he didn't want to be there, he'd just hinder the business they needed to do, and more importantly the topic of discussion he was considering. It would be best all around if the guy left, in Drew's opinion. "Anyone else want to go? Leave." His eyes avoided Felicity, knowing she probably wanted to get out of there as well. If she wanted to jet out, he wouldn't stop her, but he wouldn't be happy.

Charlie figured it was her time now to introduce her name to those who had never even seen her face before. She kept her arms crossed and eyes narrowed, feeling focused-- or at least trying to. Something was always on the mind, and she could barely listen to a prefect's name before she day dreamed. It was hard to resist with the bucolic views outside of the train.
"Name's Charlie Jones, at your service. 'Course, I'd have to be, seein' as I'm your Head Girl and all," The words uttered were both systematic and confident, as if she had been Head Girl for years, but in truth she was shocked with herself as she could announce it to prefects who were now officially beneath her. It was a hard pill to swallow.
Charlie's eyes flickered at Thornton and Piper. No surprise, they had a stinging Slytherin on their staff. Seeing as she could be disagreeable from time to time, Piper's words. "Help yourself, Piper, just don't get too comfortable with your come-n-go attitude. Ain't having none of it." Of course almost no one liked being in the first Prefect meeting. But it was a formality that Charlie was willing to endure, because if anyone had an idea to kick off the year, this would be the perfect place to announce it.

Never before had Seanna Marcellus been to a Prefect meeting. True, she had been a Prefect last year, but she hadn't been there in time for the Prefect meeting and she was kind of panicking about going to this one. One, because she so didn't think deserved being Prefect this year after everything she had done last year. Who in their right mind would put someone as Prefect after they had blown up half off the Quidditch locker's? Not her, that's for sure.
The Number two reason why Seanna was panicking about going to the Prefect meeting, that currently in the carriage she was holding on her own, held Percy, her duck. Fair enough, Percy was in his cage that had plenty of walking space, Seanna was worried about leaving him alone in the carriage by himself. For the reason alone that someone might come into the carriage and see the duck there and decided they wanted one just like him.
"Percy, it'll be okay, okay? I won't be gone for too long" Seanna cooed to her duck, trying to settle him down. Percy was not happy being left alone in a carriage by himself with no one to talk to but himself and the walls. "Anyways, you know how to reach me if you are in trouble" Seanna pointed out to her duck, hoping that this would tide him over and he would behave himself while she was gone.
Percy screwed up his face as much as a duck could screw up his face to his owner, but accepted that she had to leave. "Behave, okay?" Was the final thing that Seanna said to her duck, leaving the carriage with fear and reluctance and made her way down to the first compartment where the Prefect meeting was being held. It was also with reluctance that Seanna entered into the compartment, squeezing herself through the door and trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible in the corner of the compartment near the door for an easy escape once the meeting would be over.

Alexander didn't say a word, though his eyes were asking a blatant 'who-does-this-jerk-think-he-is'. It was more than likely screwing up his face and making it into one of those scowls that Alexander was never really known for. And then he said bluntly that he didn't want to be there? Alexander figured that he could have come up with multiple excuses not to make it there other than ruining the start of what was going pretty well as a meeting. Alexander just looked away from the guy and shook his head, wanting to say something highly rude back, but knowing who's company he was in. It wasn't proper, nor polite to do anything in front of the ladies... though Alexander just really wanted to show the guy out of the door himself.
When he did look back at the guy, however, he saw a sight that threw his scowl into a smile immediately. Seanna, his prefect partner, entered the room and he couldn't be more pleased. He hadn't seen her that day at all and over the summer, their plans of her coming over to his place just had never worked out, so seeing her again was fantastic. As big as he could, he threw his smile in Seanna's direction and coughed slightly to try and get her attention to look his way. Unaware that Seanna was trying to get into the meeting without being noticed, Alexander spoke up right after the Head Girl, his face turning back into its original scowl.
"Quickly now. You're blocking the way for those who actually want to be here," Alexander face was hard and serious, this kid refused to sit or to go, Alexander was sure he'd have probably all the guys on him. There was work to be done...
This Piper guy just seemed to want to prevent that.

He was in for it now! Hiro had spent the majority of his summer working at Hogsmeade, as a matter of fact if it weren't for the prefect meeting he would have just stayed and met up with his friends at Hogwarts. But since that wasn't the case Hiro had to make his way to the front of the train in time for the prefect meeting. That's where the trick came in cause when one is on a time limit and hasn't talked with many people for a few months it was hard not to get stopped and asked what had happened over the summer. Hiro, not being a rude person by nature, didn't try and rush any of these conversations.
Then came the first years and new students who had to ask him about his blindfold. Hiro couldn't even count the number of times someone had stopped him to ask why he wore a blindfold or why he carried a cane like the one he had. It was almost like the young students were shocked at the idea of having a blind student at Hogwarts...one that was late for his prefect meeting.
Finally, after what seemed like every kid in the train had stopped him to talk, Hiro reached his destination. He took a deep breath before opening the door sure that Drew and Charlie would chew him out for being so late. An apologetic smile was all he could muster not wanting to interrupt the meeting more with dumb excuses or apologize.
