Devin was not liking the way the conversation was going. Before the Minister even spoke he knew who the other man was. He finally recognized where the man was from, and placed a name on him. He was a prominent pureblood, Gerard Waine, a family his father had never liked. He kept his composure not allowing his face to contort, and definitely not looking back at the man. His now cold blue eyes stayed trained on the Minister, not even allowing him to acknowledge the offer of tea.
His blood began to boil as he watched the man in front of him. He was stretching this out, he knew this. Brady was a good auror, he liked his answers straight to the point and it was hard to keep his mouth shut as he knew what was to come next. He knew as soon as the man started mentioning the events that had happened with that disrespectful little quidditch player, that he was done here. His perfect record otherwise really didn't matter to the Minister or his lackeys, no Devin was disposable. It wasn't till the old man actually said it however that the auror snapped. He didn't even look as he said it, no he turned his back on the man then said it, that made him mad."
He burst out into yelling as he looked at the man before him. He couldn't do a thing to hurt him, and in this situation he was still likely to be removed by aurors, who dare try him he wasn't sure, but he would have to restrain at least a little. "You have to be kidding me! I put in over 15 years of service to this country and the Ministry, and you are going to throw me out, because of one mistake! You must be joking to think that this won't come back to bite you!" He held his breath allowing it to finally be released out his nose, as he found himself fists clenched, staring bullets at the Minister.
He composed himself straightening his cloak as he growled the words out of clenched teeth, "This has to be a joke, because the boy is a pureblood? Your going to through me out because I don't play these pureblood games. You will regret this Minister I promise you that much." Before the Minister could even think a response, the much younger man had stormed out of the room, glaring at Waine as he passed. That man would pay too, yes he would pay.
