Krissy grinned. She moved accross Abi's room and reached just insdie Abi's cupboard door. They had strategically placed it there earlier that week so that they knew where it was. It was also tied up with a pretty pink bow, just to add effect. Krissy picked up the 'present' and held it behind her back, keeping it well out of site of Pat and went to stand beside Abi in the door way. She giggeled at abi's sing-song voice to Pat, watching the stairs awaiting his arrival up them. "Come on Patty boy" Krissy grinned down the stairs.

Pat was a little confused when Abby suddenly jumped to her feet, remarking that she and Krissy had forgotten to give him a present, both of them then running out of the room. Had the two of them gotten him something? Pat hadn't expected anything like that, he considered traveling with Krissy and visiting Abby as more than enough of a present.
When Pat heard Abby call "Ooooh Paaaaat, we have something for you" from upstairs, he stood up, butterbeer still in one hand. He didn't know what they had planned; he hadn't thought to bring them presents, so he hoped whatever they had for him wasn't to fancy or anything.
As he reached the base of the stairs, Pat heard Krissy call for him this time. He could see from the bottom of the stairs that they were in Abby's doorway. Pat climbed the stairs, stopping once he reached the top. "Just what did you guys get me?" he asked, his voice showing a little of his curiousity. He noticed that Krissy was holding something behind her back; he wondered if that's what they had for him as he took another sip at the butterbeer.

Krissy grinned. He had made his way to the top of the stairs. Though she kept a calm little smile on the outside on the inside she was rolling on the ground in fits of laughter, she was also having a hard time keeping her outside from doing this. This was just going to be too funny. Really truely. He knew nothing of their plans or what they had done and so it made it all the more appealing to Krissy.
Krissy grinned at his question, she wasn't just going to tell him what they got him. "Ya gotta close your eyes and hold out your hands" Krissy said with a smile. Yeah she was being cheeky and a ratbag but it was fun, she liked being mischievious and she knew Abi was enjoying this too.

Abby grinned, surpressing her laughter despite the pain it was causing her sides. "Ooh yes, close them tight," she added with a side glance at the girl beside her. "No peeking." The second year figured Pat didn't even know the girls had cut off a lock of his hair, let alone know they still had it, and that made it all the more enjoyable.

Pat had a quizzical look on his face for a second, but only for a second. It seemed to him that they had a plan of some kind. What that plan was, he had no idea, although it probably had to do with whatever "present" they had planned. He definitely wouldn't put it past Krissy to do something like that, and Abby seemed like practically her protégé.
Still, Pat extended his free hand, the other still hlding his half-full butterbeer bottle, and he closed his eyes, smiling slightly. "Yeah, I know, no peekin'," he said. "So what is it?" Maybe he was just being suspicious of them, maybe they had nothing planned...

Krissy loved Abi's obvious excitement and could tell the younger girl was trying to surpress her laughter, much like Krissy was doing. When Pat closed his eyes she smiled wider, deciding that he had infact closed his eyes properly she pulled the present out from behind her back with a grin. She gave a wink to Abi and placed to lock of silver hair which was tied up with a pretty pink bow into Pats hand. She then took a large step backwards away from him indicating for Abi to do the same. He knew nothing of the girls late night expedition into the boys dorm. Nor of what they had done up there, so his 'present' would be quite a surprise.
"Your present..." Krissy said, the humour and joking obvious in her voice. Yeah she was about to burst from laughter but was still with-holding it. Though.. not for much longer. Her sides felt like they were about to split in two.

Abby stepped back the same amount of distance as Krissy, a small fit of giggling now springing from her mouth and her eyes shining with glee as they fell on the silver lock of hair now placed gently in Pat's hand. "Yes, your present. Don't expect anything for your birthday now," she grinned, her giggling changing into laughter as she held her sides to keep them from splitting. What was Patty boy's reaction going to be?

Oh yes, just what was Patty boy's reaction going to be? That was the twenty-Galleon question at the moment. Abby and Krissy were correct in their belief that Pat knew nothing of their late-night foray into the guys' dorm the previous year, the night of the lockdown. Of the only three who knew about that, two were standing before him, and the third was likely to take the secret to her grave. Therefore, Pat's reaction was fairly predictable, although with an added twist. Feeling the (albeit light) weight of something fall into his free, outstretched hand, Pat opened his eyes, taking only a moment for his eyes to focus on the object in question. However, it took a second or two longer for his brain to register and believe what he was seeing: that his "present" was nothing other than a lock of his own hair, tied in a ribbon. Predictably, he gave a slight start, being quite surprised to be facing a lock of his own hair. "How-" he started to articulate, but the rest of the sentence failed to extract itself from Pat's throat, as with his start, he'd shifted his feet slightly. Had he been paying any attention to where his feet were, he might have been able to stop himself. However, his positioning right at the edge of the stairs, the distraction of the girls' "present", and the unlucky fact that his author is feeling slightly sadistic at the moment meant that before Pat could even utter the second word of his sentence, he went tumbling down the stairs, losing grip on his now-thankfully-empty butterbeer bottle, which went rolling down with him, although his hold on the lock of hair remained good enough to keep it in his hand. Pat landed at the foot of the stairs, a little dazed, having landed hitting his head, but for the most part alright. Sure, he'd have a bump on his head for a few days, but he'd had worse falls before (several of them caused by cousins who couldn't resist the urge to tackle him ). Soon enough, he'd gotten to his feet, a little slowly, but he swiftly returned his gaze toward the top of the stairs. "How'd you guys get your hands on this?" he half-shouted toward the Huffle ladies, still very much wanting to know how they had come by the silver strands he currently had clenched in his hand. He wasn't angry, but still, he wanted an explanation. ((Haha, couldn't resist a fall down the stairs. ))
