Megara smirked as Shaw granted her the permission she'd never bothered to ask for in the first place. It was nice that at least one other person in the room realized she was worth something, and that it was Shaw was even better. Shaw's authority was quiet, secure. He didn't walk with the same air of arrogance and need to enforce his superiority this other man seemed to possess. For that reason, Shaw earned Megara's respect to a much greater degree.
"Thank you," she said haughtily as she turned back to the potions cabinet. All she needed now was some aconite. Without looking back to the men, she continued. "I'll let you all get on with your intensive planning session. Hope something comes out of this one."

Well spoken...did Sloan really think him some bumbling sod who stuttered and slurred his way through a conversation? Robert listened as the man danced around with what had to be the most drawn out and yet most equally vague explanation he had ever heard uttered. Really while it did catch his interest to an extent the speech set off more warning fires than comforting rains. However it was Schmidt with his edginess and irritability who now commanded the attention of his gray eyes.
"If you're tired of - standing idle as you put it - Mr. Schmidt, come up with something that's not recklessly brash but still remotely useful and we'll see." Robert retorted before shifting his attention back to Sloan's babbling of an ego trip. If he wanted a cookie for his trouble he'd have to ask. "As for you Verum, either get to the bloody details or tell me it can wait and move along. I don't humor banter and have less patience with each second you waste boring me with longevity."
Apparently sometime during the musings of the other two men; Candlebright had turned back to the cabinet satisfied by his acknowledgment...or perhaps it was his distracting the other two off of her case. Either way, the fact that she had the initiative to not hang around for his orders made him both admirable of her sense of duty, and yet worried about her reckless regard. He doubted highly that she would have ran her itinerary by him in the end, and could only wonder the damage done if she were caught before hand. She had a task...a motive, but no apparent plan to support it's chances of success. And since revenge was only good if it worked, and right now it was the only option on his table to consider...it took present priority whether either of these two liked it or not.
"In fact Verum, let us discuss this information of yours at a later time. Perhaps over a cuppa if you don't mind since I presume it will take at least that long?"

"Very well." said Verum with a nod toward Shaw as he slipped his wand away into his robes, and standing. "Best not to tarry for too long; I am afraid that there is a rather restricted window of opportunity where this is concerned, and I believe we should not let slip a this chance."
He examined shaw for a moment, then cast around the room a long look. He thought these people had a rather weak resolution on their point; Surely they could do better than taking children hostages and poisoning a bunch of writers who insulted them. He drew up his hood, and made for the door, pausing only for a moment in the very portal itself.
"I await your owl concerning time and place, Shaw." said Verum over his left shoulder "I cannot wait forever, and neither can this."
And he swept from the room without further addressing any of them, and with a swish of his black cloak's hem.
