So the many nights and days in which Beni had longed to have Ben's arms around her came to an end, when she could honestly feel his embrace. And at that moment when she met him at the train station, she had the happiest feeling in her, with a love that reminded her of the one mistake of why she left England.
She didn't feel quite like going home yet, because she had to prepare herself for the hoards of messages from her mothers to come visit them. That would come in due time. But she wanted to wait and have Ben to herself. So instead she lead him into a little cafe in Diagon Alley, explaining that she dying to have a turkey croissant sandwich that she knew this cafe would have. And so she made sure that her luggage were the size of figurines and packed them in her pocket as she led him in there. Even as they were seated, she never let go of his hand. Beni knew it was only about a month and a half since she last saw him, when he came to visit for Christmas, but it still feeling like an eternity.
She sat across from him and smiled for a little, unsure with what to say. Instead, her eye drew right up to the top of his head. She leaned over and mussed it up a little. "I can barely tell where your eyes are," she said with a grin.

"It's all part of my plan, love," Ben told his wife with a silly grin, striking a pose like he was undercover, "Helps me be all incognito." He chuckled softly, shaking his head and pushing the hair out of his eyes so Beni could see his eyes. He knew she was going to tie him to a chair and cut it all off very soon, so he figured he might as well enjoy the length now while he had a chance. Or maybe Beni would learn to live with it, but that was very doubtful. Ben always liked what she did with his hair anyways, so it wasn't like it was a big deal. And he was glad he had his personal stylist back home too; he'd let her do whatever she wanted.
With the hand that wasn't holding hers on the table, Ben reached out to his wife and stroked her cheek lightly, he eyes shining with the extreme happiness he couldn't help but feel when their eyes met. Ben leaned over the table, placing a soft kiss on her lips and not caring about people staring. "Mmmm," he moaned happily, tasting that sweet taste he missed so much, "I love you."

"More like blind," Beni said, but didn't mean it in a mean way. She was just glad to be able to feel the tufts of his thick hair, and devilishly imagine him in outrageous cuts. One day she was determined to make that a reality.
The waiter came around and Beni barely gave him a moment. She let go of Ben's hands to take a look at the menu. "Good evening! I'm ready, are you, Ben? Okay, I'll go first. Well, I'd love to have your turkey croissant, some minestrone soup.... oh wait, can I have an appetizer? Alright, some dip with chips. To drink? Hmm, iced tea. No, hot chocolate. You know what? Both! Oh, and may I keep this menu? I may want some dessert." She went through it quickly, but then slowed down when her orders were met. She looked over at her husband. "Hon, what would you like?"

Ben just kind of sat there. He looked at his wife in awe as she ordered half the menu like it was nothing. She had said she was dying for the turkey croissant, and then ended up ordering 14 other things. Ben gave her a strange look, glancing down at the menu slightly, but still watching his wife out of the corner of his eye. "Um...sorry, mate. Give me a sec," Ben apologized, reading the menu over. He hadn't had a chance to look at it before the waiter came over, so he took a minute to skim.
"I'll have the turkey croissant too," the Auror-in-training finally ordered, "and just water is fine, thanks." Ben usually ate a lot more, but he'd lost his appetite slightly when the concern for Beni had set in. He handed his own menu to the waiter who took it and left the other before walking back to the kitchen. Ben turned his full attention to his wife again. Taking both of her hands in his, Ben made sure their eyes were locked before he spoke. "Are you alright?" he asked her.

"What do you mean? I'm fine... really fine!" She grinned happily when they immediately had the appetizer. She moved it from the center towards her, and furiously ate the chips. "It's just that lately if I don't eat enough I sort of get tired, so I'm happy to have as much as I can." She took another handful and crunched them in her mouth, slowing down eventually.
Beni wasn't sure how to angle this information to him. She could imagine him being really excited, but she still wasn't sure how to tell him. She had gone on so long without telling him, opting to wait until she was back home, and tell him right away. But it was just so inappropiate at the train station, and she was just dying of hunger then. "I have a lot of space to fill, you know... I'm feeding more than just myself." She wasn't sure how if that was the right way to tell it to him.

"Alright, babe," Ben told her, letting go of her hands as her appetizers were brought out, "I believe you." He didn't really, but Ben knew better than to press when Beni said she was okay. He didn't want to upset her, so he let it slide. He would, of course, be keeping and extra close eye on her now that he knew something was wrong but would do his best to keep her from knowing he was being all paranoid again. Lately, Ben had been getting overprotective and paranoid of her. If he sense something was wrong, he wrote to her feverishly and then spent the next couple days watching around him intently for a return owl, not paying attention to much else. He knew he needed to cool it, but he just couldn't.
Taking a sip of his drink, Ben had kind of zoned out while Beni was talking. That was until she said something. It was just a little comment, a subtle one, like it wasn't a big deal. She hadn't emphasized anything or made a production. She'd just said it. And when it floated into Ben's ears, his water shot out of almost every hole in his head. His nose and eyes burned as he choked. "What?!" he questioned rather loudly, and then realize the volume of his voice and lowered it, "What? What are you talking about?"

Her eyes widened and lifted from the appetizer to him, who was a bomb next to her nonchalant gaze. "I'm telling you what I'm telling you..." Beni said as she politely took the napkin from her lap and wiped off her face. She smiled at him coyly. "There's another being in me, and it just so happens to be a baby." She leaned on her hand and looked at him at an angle. He wasn't taking it the way she expected him to. The smile was there, but she was trying not to break her calm exterior herself. She had known for at least two weeks, and she wasn't even sure if she was handling it all too well yet.

Ben went to put his glass down, knocking it sideways but catching it quickly before it spilled everywhere. He set it upright, wiping his mouth off as he tried to find words. For a moment, all he could do was stare at Beni in disbelief. Had she really said that? Was she really...pregnant? Pregnant, with his kid. They were so young. They'd just gotten married. He didn't even have a real job yet, he was still in training and now another London was on the way. Oh no...
"I...you...you're...what?" Ben asked, trying to figure out if she was toying with him or being serious. But when he saw the way she was looking him and that grin on her face, Ben knew this wasn't a joke. "I...Beni...I can't even...are you sure?" the man stuttered, trying to form sentences and speak them. It was a difficult task, considering he was being told his entire life was about to change completely.

Beni furrowed her brow. She dropped the chip and her smile. His reaction was not the right expression she wanted to encounter right now. The morning sickness was hours gone, but she was still holding on tightly to what her emotions should and shouldn't be. Yet when she watched him scatter his words, making them into fragments, she didn't like his reaction. Not one bit. "What do you mean you 'can't even'?" She sniffed indignantly. "Of course I'm sure! I was sure when I went to the doctor in Italy! I'm damn sure now!"

"No, no, no, baby," Ben stuttered quickly, sliding himself over to her side of the table, "Beni, I just..." He took her hands again, feeling his voice getting caught in his throat. The man held her hands up to his lips and he kissed them softly, the smile finally making its way onto his lips. Ben blinked furiously, not wanting to cry, but still wanting to show her how happy he was about it. The idea of being a father freaked him out, he couldn't deny that. But he couldn't be happier to start his own family with the person he loved more than anything else.
"We're....we're gonna have a baby," he whispered softly, "We're gonna start a family." A single tear squeezed itself out of the corner of Ben's eye, but he didn't care. He took one of her hands in his and placed them both on her stomach. Ben let out a soft chuckle and another couple tears trickled down. "Baby, I'm so excited!" Ben told her, unable to speak above a whisper. He pressed his lips hard against hers, smiling as he kissed his wife and rubbed her stomach softly.

Beni had to hide her oncoming tears in her napkin, trying all she could to be rational, but there was this strong feeling in her to feel so... dramatic. "Don't scare me like that!" She harshly whispered over her napkin. "Don't be a wanker, I thought that you were going to leave me all of a sudden." She sighed heavily. There had been a flash in her mind in which she could imagine her leaving her with a child to carry all alone.
Hearing him change around his words, she went along with it as best as she could. "Yeah...." she forced out a bit of a laugh, struggling not to think the worst of Ben. She sighed some more and kissed him back, feeling a bit of happiness as he held a hand over her stomach, protruding out slightly more than normal, but it was usually hard to tell with the robes she had on.

"Oh Beni," he sighed slightly, unable to wipe the grin off his face now, "Beni, this is incredible. I can't believe it...we're gonna have a baby." All he could do was repeat those words over and over in his head. She was going to have a baby. They were going to have a baby. Ben was going to have a little boy or girl. It didn't really matter what the baby's gender was, Ben was going to love it no matter what. But instantly, Ben felt awful. He should have been there. He knew what had happened when he went to see her at Christmas and he knew how big of a possibility it was that this was going to happen. He should have asked, he should have found out sooner. He should have been there with her when she went to the doctor to find out. Ben sighed softly, kissing her hands again, but breaking eye contact and looking down.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Ben questioned quietly, chancing a glance upward in her direction, "I would have been there. I would have gone to the doctor with you. I would have..." he trailed off and sighed slightly, feeling a little dejected. "You didn't have to do all that one your own. I would have come over," Ben finished.

Beni grasped his hands and noted his sadness. She knew it looked a little selfish, if anything even a little sneaky, to find out on her own. But she hadn't been too sure until she started to get sick in the mornings. "I had to find out right away, and when I did... I don't know..." She wiped her tears off of her face and gulped. It was still a bit of a mystery to know why she took two weeks to tell him. "I was still a little afraid to tell you, Ben. I had so much going through my mind those last few weeks, and I wouldn't have felt right making you go out of your training just to go to the healer or anything."
She sighed and said nothing as the waiter placed their dishes in front of them. As he left, she turned back to Ben, "I don't even know how to deal with something so simple like telling you," tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn't turn off these emotions even if she tried.

"Oh come on, love," Ben began when he saw the tears in Beni's eyes. He hadn't meant to make her feel bad, he just wanted to be there for her and the baby. He wanted her to know she wasn't going to do this alone. "I wouldn't have minded taking a few days off, sweetheart," the man told his wife softly, "I'd do anything for you...for the both of you. I want you to know that I'll be here for you, for whatever you need. You won't do this alone, I'll be by your side the whole time." Ben repeated his thoughts out loud so Beni would hear it. He needed her to know.
Ben wiped away the tears that were rolling down Beni's beautiful cheeks. His hand stroked down her cheek, reaching her chin and tilting it up so she would look at him. Ben grinned softly, getting that look in his eye again, that look that shone through when he looked at her and showed how much he was in love. His thumb pressed lightly on her chin as he pulled her close again, ignoring the looks from people close by about their public displays of affection and kissed her softly. "I'm here for you, Beni," he told her, "I'll always be here. No matter what, my love."

Beni put a small smile on her face, glad to hear him say what she wanted to hear. He would be there, he wouldn't leave her, he would love her... She traced her fingers lightly from his hand to his face, and pushed back his hair to look into his eyes. "I dearly hope this child will have your eyes..."
She heard someone clear their voice. Looking over to see it was the waiter, he asked, "Is everything alright here?" Beni laughed.
"Everything is really fine..." She turned to look back at Ben as the waiter started to go away, but she had to call him back really quick. "Oh wait! May I have some ketchup?" It didn't seem right to have ketchup in a turkey sandwich, but her urges were odd and rare now.
