Taking a sip of her butterbeer, thining about everything that was currently worrying the girl; her future career, not staying in touch with her family as much as before, her OWLs, and whether or not she'd lose contact with the friends of hers that were seventh years. Tianne was, is, and always will be a worrier, there isn't anything that will change that. She had gotten a lot of reassurance form her friends that were older and had already dealt with all of these problems, but she was still nervous.
"Yeah, I have my OWLs coming up." Tianne nodded with a half-smile. "I actually don't mind tests, but I hate the lead up. I'm looking forward to doing them, I'm going to be so nervous when I have to get the results though!" The younger girl laughed uneasily. There was pressure on her to perform, something that she resented an incredible amount. Swallowing deeply as she took another sip of her drink; Tianne was so nervous just thinking about it!
"I have um, a deal, with my parents. If I don't get a certain amount of OWLs, I have to leave Hogwarts and push my luck with muggle schooling. So, yeah, I'm just a little nervous about that." Tianne said, before letting go of the bottle in front of her and grinning. Holding her hands up and crossing her middle finger and her index finger, Tianne gave a light giggle. "Fingers crossed though!" She smiled. "So, you'd be a seventh year next term... What do you plan on doing after graduation?"

"More school." said Henry with a wry smile as he considered the lip of his butter-beer bottle. "Auror Academy and all that, you know."
Like almost all Lordings, he had a great love of learning new things, and the prospect of more education was, if anything, a comfort. There were times when he had considered what his ideal job would be, and he had always come to the conclusion that he would have wanted to try his hand at some sort of craft above all else. His family were, traditionally, inventors, and he had always kind of fancied being a wand-maker, but his desire to be an Auror had overridden this craving, and he instead changed his course toward the learning of the ways of the Aurors.
For the most part, he looked forward to the extra learning, and, for their part, his mother and father encouraged him whole heartedly in that at least; Even if he didn't approve of fighting, Henry's father would never deny that learning more was no bad thing. He sat there in consideration for a moment, then said.
"The O.W.L.s are easy; Their real evil comes in the nerves that they induce, nothing more. Unless I am much mistaken, I'll be seeing you in your sixth year next term with all the O.W.L.s you need to keep going in your magical education, eh?"
He had been leaning back in his seat so that the chair's front legs were no longer in contact with the floor, but at this let them fall back to the ground with a clunk. He leaned forward, and continued.
"You know, I always kind of thought that it might be fun, if I don't get into the Academy that is, to resurrect an old tradition. My mother calls it the inaugural globe trot, as a joke, you know; In olden times, people used to tour the world with a friend after they graduated. I thought, if I couldn't do anything else, I would do that."

Nodding at the mention of the Auror Academy, Tianne couldn't help but stare off into space. That would be the dream of many, a dream that not everyone could carry out and fulfill, but a dream that they would imagine nonetheless. It sounded so exciting to Tianne, she couldn't help but be one of those people that could imagine themselves doing so, but she felt that life had other things in mind for her. She wasn't trying to break fate, but simply follow the path that it was choosing for her to take.
Suddenly being brought back down to Earth in such a hurry as the boy had started talking again, Tianne found it rather hard to tune back into what the boy was saying. Having missed the first two words of what the boy was saying, Tianne smiled as she blushed a pale pink, but quickly realized what the boy must have said.
" So I'm hoping anyways. I'd like to think that I'm preparing myself well, but I know that the day before I'll probably panic. " Tianne said, giving a laugh at what she had just said. Tianne wasn't good under pressure, she never seemed to be able to cope, but with something that would mean so much, as to continue her schooling at Hogwarts, hopefully her sub-conscious would see that the conscious was making a huge mistake and take over.
Again listening in to what the boy was saying, although Tianne was actually swinging back on her chair, Tianne took a sip of her butterbeer and smiled. "That would be so much fun!" She grinned, placing her drink back onto the table. "You know, for a career, you know, I'd love to do something that would take me around the world. Of course, with magic and all, I think it would take a little bit away. I'd love to go on an aeroplane. But I think I'd be scared of it crashing, all those stories that my mother has told me.

Henry laughed at the comments, not mocking them, but enjoying the humor of them. "They're not bad, really, planes." said Henry, taking a swig of his drink "I've taken a few in my time; Had to take a 7-4-7 out of New York to London when we moved to the Kingdom, you know. Dead slow, but they usually show movies and serve food on the longer flights." He remembered the anxiousness before they had boarded the massive plane back in New York; There had been snow, and it was early in the morning. He had taken plane rides before that day, but never one so long. His father, of course, had insisted upon trying to find a magical means of getting there, but his mother had put her foot down. Strictly speaking, the further you were from your destination, the more difficult it was to summon the magical power to complete the trip. A trans-Atlantic flight on broomsticks was as likely to freeze them to death in the middle of winter as it was to deliver them to safety; The floo-network was, according to Henry's mother, strictly for transportation within a single country, though she may have just said this because she didn't like floo travel. After the rather obvious methods were discussed, Henry's father had, owing, no doubt, to his desire to experience it, suggested that Henry's mother transport the three of them via side-along apparition. Allison Lordings wouldn't hear of it. Are you insane? she had said to her husband I wouldn't try to apparate across an ocean by myself let alone with two passengers! Anything over a thousand miles is near impossible at the best of times. And so (To Henry Sr.'s great disappointment) they had chartered a flight to the United Kingdom out of LaGuardia airport in New York. Henry had been positively terrified about the flight; He didn't like planes much, and the idea of being on one for almost half a day was nothing short of a nightmare. Though he had been happy when he finally stepped out at Hethrow airport in London, he had enjoyed the ride quite a bit. His father hadn't shared the information ahead of time, but he had gotten the tickets from the plane's captain, who was an old friend, and who allowed Henry to get a peek at the crew compartment, and out of the front window at a marvelous sunrise. "Course, you could probably charm the engines so that they won't break down." said Henry with a laugh "I'm sure you could find a spell to do it somewhere." (Lol, accidentally posted this with the wrong char a second ago )

[ Haha, I do it all the time >.< ]
Tianne nodded at Henry's explanation of the planes; she couldn't help but long to be on one. She would find the experience so excting, and right now,Tianne wanted nothing more than to go flying. It wouldn't be the same thing as flying on a broom; that had become second nature to the girl; and Tianne believed that the thrill of flying in a machine with such a high level of danger would last forever. But Tianne had never experienced that feeling, she couldn't never afford to before, and now she was at Hogwarts, and well, she couldn't take time off school before her OWLs.
She couldn't really imagine Henry flying, he just seemed so.. Magically oriented. She just couldn't picture the boy in something that was Muggle Dominated, for some reason Tianne thought that Henry was a pureblood; not that it mattered to the girl anyways.
"I think I'd have to keep my broom handy if I did so. I've heard you can take carry-on luggage, do you think they'd notice a big, long broom?" She laughed, hoping that the boy knew she was joking. However, the broom would have made her feel a lot safer... "But yes, I'd love to try it some time. I'm not sure where I would like to go, mayeb Australia. I have a few friends that moved there a couple of months ago." She said, referring to Seth, her ex-boyfriend and Ryan, her best buddie.
"Do you think reparo would work on something that big?" She asked jokingly, giving the boy a smile and taking another sip of her butterbeer.

"Do you think reparo would work on something that big?"
"Whew...I hope I never have to find out." said Henry with a dramatic look, he knew she was joking, of course, but he liked to play jokes for all they were worth. "Poor lookout it would be if you botched the spell, eh?"
He suddenly had the strangely comical vision of a large jumbo-jet flying through the air and suddenly it's wings snapped off, and it just fell vertically downward like some sort of bizarre cartoon. Of course, this image was made that much funnier by the fact that the stewardess was sweeping the isle between the seats with a Firebolt Mk. II.
"The only thing I would worry about with the broom." said Henry with a chuckle "Is the stewardess using it to clean something up thinking it belonged to the airlines."
He continued to laugh to himself while he took a deep swig of his butter-beer, which was beginning to dwindle.

Laughing at the boy's comment about her own, Tianne couldn't not imagine having to do so at that time. She wasn't actually sure if it would work, but she figured that if you were about to be involved in a plane crash, there would be desperate need for something to happen, and something would go right, eventually. But then again, the girl hadn't thought of the actual chances of being in a plane crash, as infrequent as they were, as when most planes were suffering difficulties, they made emergency landings.
Again letting a sweet giggle escape her lips at the boys comment, Tianne took another sip of her butterbeer, this time draining the last drops out of the bottle. She was overcome with gratitude from the boy's nice initiative the the boy had come up with, she was so thankful. "Well, I think that would be a good way to sneak it onto the plane." She smiled, giving the boy a wink.
"But, I think it would be awesome to fly. I'd probably do that if I went somewhere over seas, I mean, I can't apparate yet, but I still don't think I'd feel safe going overseas." She said, with a grin on her face.

"I was..."
But what exactly he was, he couldn't finish; Somewhere to his right, there was a loud scuffling and shouting. Henry looked around, and found himself laughing; A trio of very inebriated wizards were fighting with each other, one had a cut on his forehead where he had obviously been hit with something, and another looked as though he had had his head slammed on the table. The last wizard seemed to be the one who had started it, and all three of them appeared to be way too drunk to realize they had wands.
It didn't take long for Madam Rosmerta to bustle over, brandishing her wand, and obviously warning them to cut it out, or she'd kick them out the hard way. The wizards immediately started accusing each other like kids, visibly pointing fingers, and there was now starting to be a fair amount of appreciative chuckling from the crowd in the bar. According to Henry's mother, Madam Rosmerta had never really minded people having words with each other (She had hinted that Rosmerta might have enjoyed the drama of it, but it was just her opinion), but as soon as you start with the muggle dueling, party's over. That much, at least, was indeed true; Very friendly on normal terms, Madam Rosmerta would sooner toss you out than let you fight in her pub. After a few minutes of her wand and narrowed eyes at the three men, she summoned what were likely three cups of coffee, and left the wizards behind with glowing red faces, and not just because of the blood.
"As I was saying..." said Henry through a laugh; He was constantly surprised there wasn't more fighting in the pub, drunks, after all, aren't the most sensible people. "I was thinking it might be fun to go to Greece if I was going to travel; The ancient Greeks had some incredible knowledge. Most of the ancient world, really, is where I would go."

Tianne had not been prepared for what was about to happen. She didn't really think that a brawl would come about in the Three Broomsticks, of all places. The Hogs Head, maybe yeah, but not the happy pub. Before it had truly broken out, Tianne had been intently waiting on what the boy sitting opposite her was about to say; Henry proved to be quite good conversation. The two hadn't known each other for long, but they were getting along fantastically, in fact, better than Tianne got along with some people that she had known for much longer.
Turning herself around in her chair, as the fight built up, Tianne felt rather immature. Sure, she wasn't banging her hands on the table, chorusing to the fight! Fight! Fight!, but she was involving herself in something that most would consider to be stupid. Tianne didn't exactly mind, this didn't really cross her thoughts until afterward, but Tianne couldn't help being amused at the sights that she was seeing. Grown men, acting like children, basically humiliating each other by being that petty.
Shaking her head, Tianne couldn't help but giggle. Covering her mouth with her hands, as to drown the giggles that had taken residence in her throat, the muffled laughs were still quite audible. Breathing deeply, turning around to face Henry again, Tianne listening in on what the boy was saying. "Ah, that's a little more reason than I have to go there. I really want to go to the Islands, they look so... nice. If i had the money, I'd probably go and see the seven wonders of the world, but I don't think I'd be able to afford to go to even half of them." She said with a smirk, shrugging her shoulders, the events that had just occurred still pictured in her mind.

"I'm sure you'll find a way." said Henry, raising his bottle to her with a nod, and noticing that his drink was empty. He peered through the semi-transparent brown glass of the bottle, and shook it once before draining the last few drops, and giving Tianne's bottle a quite size-up before signaling for another round.
Madam Rosmerta was there in a flash with two fresh drinks (which she had forgotten to open, no doubt in her frustration at the trouble-makers who were still drawing laughs).
"You're brew seems to be getting more potent, Rosmerta" said Henry with a pointed glance at the three wizards as he took his new drink.
"Oh, the mead is no stronger than it's ever been." said Rosmerta with a wry smile at his joke "I'm afraid it's the fools who are getting more foolish. Of course, anyone's a fool after seven pints; I told them they better cut it out four pints ago."
"Ha!" Henry laughed and offered up a large gold galleon for the new pair of drinks "Here you are then."
"Oh, don't be silly dear, it's just four sickles for the two of them." said Rosmerta, offering him back his galleon.
"Oh, that's what it is. Four for the drinks, and ten for the entertainment provided." he said, pointing at the three wizards who looked as though they were now on the verge of starting up their argument again. Madam Rosmerta threw them a glance that Henry was quite sure would have pierced a foot thick plate of steel, and they seemed to quiet down considerably. "And then there's three for the tip." he continued as he leaned back in his seat and caught the rim of the cap on the corner of the wooden table and, with a smart flick, popped the cap off of the bottle.
Madam Rosmerta considered the logic of this, and the gold coin now held loosely in her hand, and then said "God bless you, dear." and she moved off toward her bar with a quick squeeze of Henry's shoulder as she passed, and a worried glance at the wizards. Henry chuckled as she moved away, he took a long draught of his new drink, and then turned back to his present company.
"I hope you don't mind having another round with me?" said Henry, pushing the second bottle across to her "I would have asked before, but we seem to be getting on famously."

Giving the boy a smile at his encouraging comment, Tianne nervously scratched at the back of her neck. She wasn't sure whether this was the point that the pair said goodbye, to be honest, Tianne was having a lot of fun getting to know the boy. The pair probably would have gotten to know each other at the study sessions, but that, of course, would take a lot longer, and Tianne felt that she knew things now about the boy that she definitely wouldn't ever find out otherwise.
Leaning back, as the boy had his short conversation with Madam Rosmerta, Tianne didn't want to seem like she was being rude, but she wasn't that keen on butting in to a conversation that she wasn't really sure she was welcome in. Instead, whenever Rosmerta looked at her, Tianne merely politely smiled and thanked the lady for the two drinks.
Even though the girl was almost sixteen years old, she still didn't have the confidence to talk to strangers, like Henry was, unless he knew Madam Rosmerta; if Tianne hadn't known Henry from school, she probably wouldn't be sitting here, talking to him, and having a drink. "You're such a gentleman." She said, with a sweet smile, holding the drink that she had just been given in her left hand.
Pulling off the cap of the bottle, Tianne looked back up at Henry. "Thank you. You know, for this, and the last one, and I guess for just saving me from myself and the loneliness." She said, with a light laugh, finishing the sentence with a wink towards the boy. Tianne really was glad that she wasn't by herself, if she had been left alone, she'd probably be up at the castle by now.

"Think nothing more of it." said Henry with a cheerful smile; The whole truth of the matter was that he was quite happy to have some new friends. Henry had spent the last three years avoiding new friendships for loyalty to his old ones from the United States. In the retrospective of it, it seemed foolish to hide himself behind books for friends who hadn't bothered to write him, or to respond to his letters in years.
"To tell the truth, I didn't quite know what I was going to do down here." said Henry "I did have some...projects...but they were all taken care of when I got down here. Hogsmeade is an interesting enough place, but it does run out eventually." he took a swig of butter-beer "I kind of just come out of...I don't know...Habit, I guess."
He had, indeed, taken advantage of every Hogsmeade weekend since he had arrived at Hogwarts early in his third year. He was the kind of student who had every morsel of homework done by the end of the afternoon it was assigned on, and so couldn't often find much to do on weekends. Out of sheer lack of anything to do, he kept going back to into Hogsmeade on every available weekend even though he had the entire town thoroughly explored by his second trip into it.

Giving Henry a happy smile in exchange for his, Tianne looked down at the bottle that sat in front of her. She had never felt that foolish in her life, how, on a trip to hogsmeade, could Tianne forget her money? She had made sure that her money purse was near the bag that she was going to be taking, but she had merely forgot. "I'll make sure I pay next time, okay?" She said with a laugh, taking the time to have a sip of her drink. Ah, the refreshment that butterbeer gave you, well, there was no substitution for it.
"This is only really my second time down here, but I think I did the explorations during my first visit." She said, with a grin. "I was planning on going to the lollyshop, and maybe to the joke shop, but I don't have any money, so it might be considered to be pointless." She said, with a shrug. Her day had been great so far; to be honest, she wouldn't mind if she went home after this, she would have had a great day anyways.
"But yeah, I haven't been down here often. Last time I came down with one of my friends, but before then I hadn't come because there wasn't anyone to go with." Tianne said, taking another sip of her butterbeer. "You like it here?

"Do I like it where?" said Henry politely as he took another sip of his drink "In Hogsmeade?"
Henry pondered the question for a moment; Hogsmeade was interesting enough, it had nothing on Diagon or Alvian Alley, of course, but it had it's charms. He was just about to compile an answer when it occurred to him that she might not have meant Hogsmeade; She might have meant Hogwarts, it wasn't exactly a secret that he was from another country. He thought for a moment; Do you like Hogsmeade? seemed the most likely, but he wasn't entirely sure.
After a moment or two, he opened his mouth to speak, and then closed it again, he found it difficult, for some reason, to answer the question without knowing for sure what the question was. He quickly raised his bottle and took a long drink to give her ample time to answer his question before he answered hers.

"Yeah, in Hogsmeade. Sorry, I should have been more specific." Tianne said, the color in her cheeks raising a little, before falling quite quickly. It was a spur of the moment thing, in fact, Tianne couldn't believe that she had blushed, however subtly it may have been. Henry probably didn't even notice, but here she was, making a big deal out of nothing.
Besides, how could someone not like Hogsmeade, it may not have been the best of places, considering how cool Diagon Alley was, but it was doing nothing wrong. With Madam Puddifoots, Zonkos, The Three Broomsticks, and Honey dukes, plus more? Well, that was enough said.
Following the boy's lead, Tianne took a sip from the bottle, although it was more short lived than the boys. Placing the drink back down on the table with a small clunk, Tianne smiled at the boy.
