"It wasn't that frequent when I was here," Penelope somehow tried to defend her own clueless-ness about the subject. "It's not like you can't have friends from the opposite gender and they are in the same house and year after all."
She would never admit that she had felt, to certain level, jealous of Allegra back then. Just because it was in her own nature and, well, they seemed to understand each other too well sometimes and Penelope had disliked that, felt slightly left apart.
"Besides, I wouldn't ever leave for such a silly reason. For what I care, at the present time, they can be whatever they wish. Allegra is my friend and I wouldn't get in her way to being happy for someone I don't care in that way anymore."
Why was she giving this explanations to Reina? She had no obligations whatsoever towards the girl. Still it was too late to change what she had said. Besides, it was better for everyone to know if that was the present situation. She didn't wanted rumors to arouse out of things that weren't that way.

Reina raised an eyebrow. She nodded her head and she had a stupid little grin on her face. She didn't even try and hide it.
"Suuuure whatever you say. Well in any case we're glad you're back, chica. So I assumed you knew Jack and Cross. They're both gone. I think Cross is in Azkaban for some heinous crime and Jack is dead. I'm the prefect and so is a fourthie name Charlie."
Reina leaned close as though she was giving Penelope important information.
"Don't get all sappy thought Charlie's a dude. Though I think she secretly wishes to be a boy. Also I'm your quidditch Captain and Charlie's the co-captain. Hey didn't you play quiddtich."
Reina wasn't sure, but she though it sounded kinda familliar.

Penelope felt somehow relived as Reina dropped the subject. The exact reason she didn't know.
"I could tell that Jack was no longer here only by the scent in the air," she commented on the go with a smirk.
At the mention of quidditch Penelope realized they had Sora, more or less, completely out of the conversation. Feeling slightly, very slightly, bad about this she turned to look at him when she replied.
"No, I don't play quidditch nor ever have," she stated as a fact. "Never appealed to me... at all."

Reina was done. She hated Quidditch. Reina would never know why and now that she was staring at Sora like he was suddenly a nice big juicy steak and she was a hungry lioness Reina wanted no part of that.
"You don't like quidditch. That's it. I'm out."
Reina walked over to the couch. She was far enough away to not be a part of the convo so Sora and Penelope could discuss their new bidding love, but close enough to eaves drop.

Sora watched Reina silently as she stalked over to the couch, for some reason probably annoyed. Reina had such dire mood swings; From chatting idly with the new girl to now moodily sitting on the couch. He ran a tanned hand through his auburn hair, wondering if it was a girl thing or it was just Reina's function. He looked back to Penelope, wondering what to talk to her about. Quidditch was unfortunately put out of the list due to her last comment,
"So...um...what classes are you taking?" he asked, wondering what else he should probably talk about.

Penelope arched an eyebrow and followed Reina with her eyes till the girl sat down. Was not liking quidditch such an important matter as to walk out of an conversation? Penelope most certainly didn't think so.
"If my memory isn't failing on me," she started replying as her memory focused back on Sora. "I'm taking history, dada, transfiguration, charms, muggle studies and care of magical creatures. Yes, I think that's it. Are you taking any of those?"

Sora watched as Penelope did the same action he did by watching Reina go over to the couch. He scoffed slightly, looking back at Penelope but keeping Reina in his peripheral vision,
"Don't mind her...her mood swings a whole lot more than that of a pregnant woman's..." he said snorting slightly, knowing that she could probably hear him say that, "And yeah, I got those classes as well, though I dropped Magical Creatures, History of Magic, and Muggle Studies..."

Penelope couldn't do other thing but chuckle softly at Sora's comment. If Reina acted that way all the time the comparison had been very accurate in her opinion.
"Which others are you taking instead?" she asked as to say something else she would have to find a different topic of conversation and her creativity wasn't at her best right now (nor her writer's).

Sora shrugged, "That's basically it...I'm just taking the core curriculum classes..." he said, wracking his mind for something to talk about. The topic of schoolwork wasn't really much of a topic and he could probably tell that he was boring the socks out of the girl.

Reina scoffed to herself. Sora wa acting like a pregnant man then. He going on weird on her and what not. Reina shook her head and reached under the couch for magazines that she took from someone and hid there. Reina opened one and started to flip through.
"You know you can't graduate unless you take two electives, Sora Dear." Reina said in a slight sing song voice. It was the main reason she was taking CoMC as a fifth year instead of her sixth.

Sora scoffed at Reina's voice, knowing that he shouldn't trust whatever that spurted out from her mouth. He whirled around to Reina, an amused smirk on his face, one that may have been interpreted as friendlyness,
"My dear Reina, one must keep in mind that those electives aren't mandatory for us sixth years. We only need to take two if we are fifth years and below. I'm not sure about you but I'm not a fifth year. Plus, I would've been informed if I had to take another elective in order to pass..."

While Penelope could have added something about the matter, she had after all been more the less forced to re-read all the rules regarding almost everything in the school to come back, but didn't felt like contributing to the 'argument' right now.
Instead of paying close attention to what was said she leaned against the bookshelf and begun to inspect her fingernails. Which, to her own delight, were still in the same impeccable state than when she had manicure done before coming.

Reina stood up and groaned at Sora.
"You're so stupid. We have to take 2 electives to graduate or else I wouldn't be rataking ComC."
Reina blanched. She didn't just spit that out. Why was she even trying to help him and he hated her so much.
"Whatever, I didn't say anything. I hate you both."
Reina sat back down and went back to her magazine.

Sora smirked, wondering why Reina cared so much about the electives he chose not to take. As she revealed that bit of information to them, she turned back away from them. He looked over to Penelope and, when he was sure that Reina wasn't watching, mouthed the words 'pregnant woman' to her,
"So...I'm sensing that you were getting that 'I remember...' feeling when I came down and saw you..." he commented, remembering that she was looking around the common room as he entered.

"Why you hate me is really beyond my comprehension," Penelope commented side glancing at Reina for a couple of seconds. It wasn't like she cared too much about the girl hating her or not, but she would like to know the reasons for it.
Her eyes went back to Sora the exact moment he was mouthing the word to her and she had to put a hand over her mouth to not let any inopportune giggle escape.
"More the less," she replied once composure was regained and any kind of giggle locked safely inside of her. "Was trying to see if I could discover what had stayed the same and what had changed."
