"Oh, please. That was the least of it," Allegra groaned. Nana had gone off in a Spanish tirade on how the whole day had been ruined. The worst was she had barely focused on the go-cart or the smashed door. "Did I ever tell you my grandmother hates Drew?" she asked as if it were hardly worth mentioning. It was rarely talked about at home, but everyone knew. Nana was not crazy about having a grandson.
"As soon as I saw Drew crash, I tried to pull him free, hoping to make it look like I had been driving, but she still got mad at him, saying it was all his fault... saying boys were nothing but trouble."

Kellen furrowed his brows a little, and frowned. "That's got to be pretty rough for Drew," he said sympathetically. "It's not like he was having an easy time of it either, I'm sure," he said.

"It's usually not so bad," Allegra answered with a shrug. "I mean, we can cut our visits short or avoid going all together... but with Papi... it was kind of impossible. We were over there all the time and it was pretty hard on all of us."
She gave a deep sigh, tired of talking about her family. "So besides your license, what else did you do over the hols? How's your brother doing?"

"He's doing really well. He's in great spirits, you know? It's making it a lot easier for him," Kellen commented, with a smile coming over his face. It was such a relief that Kearney was actually better that he couldn't help it. "He took me to all the touristy places in London. Especially Baker Street, he loves it there, he read Sherlock Holmes all the time when he was younger. My brother's a bit of a dork, you see."

"Aren't most brothers?" Allegra asked innocently before giving a wide smile. It actually sounded like a lot of fun to her. "So he likes living in London? Is he still seeing that nurse?"

"Well, no, because if most brothers are dorks that means I'm a dork too. Er, wait...man, that may not be the best argument," Kellen joked. "He loves it in London," he added, changing tracks. "Kearney was really made for big cities, you know? And yeah, he's still seeing Magda. They're getting pretty serious, I think."

"You may be an exception to the dorkiness rule," Allegra told him with a small smile. "Or maybe with you it just seems... " Charming was what she wanted to say, but she thought that sounded kind of dorky herself. Instead she just shrugged. "... Less dorky."

"Less dorky, huh?" Kellen asked, raising an eyebrow. "Man, Allegra, you really know how to sell that point," he said with a playful sarcasm in his voice. "Of course...I really can't complain. After all, no matter if I try to deny it, I am actually a bit of a dork."

"I didn't mean it like that..." Allegra said quietly, rolling her eyes slightly and doing her best not to look at him. "I don't think you're dorky at all... or maybe... I'm just a dork too?"

"Well, we are Ravenclaws," Kellen mused. "I'll wager a fair bet that the rest of the school? Probably thinks we're dorks." He said everything in a lighthearted tone, but he knew it was probably true. "But I don't think you're a dork."

Allegra gave him a light nudge in the side. "You better not," she told them. "I don't know too many dorks who break a whole bathroom full of mirrors..." She gave a small laugh. "On the otherhand, it was pretty dorky to repair them afterwards, wasn't it?"

Kellen shrugged and gave a small smile. "Maybe a little," he admitted. "But hey, I bet even, like, star Quidditch players have dorky moments. Personally? I think Merlin was a bit of a dork, too."

"Yeah... Quidditch players can be dorky too," Allegra agreed with a long sigh, knowing from first hand experience the level of dorkiness they could reach. "So what's the lesson learned? Dorkiness is relative, or is it everyone has a level of dorkiness no matter how hard they try to hide it?"

Kellen thought for a moment. "Yes," he responded with a voice of authority. He grinned then, adding, "And I should know. I really don't know anything dorkier than accidentally turning yourself into a statue. So I must be an expert."

"Nope, that was an accident," Allegra answered with a small smile. "A dorky accident... but still, an accident. I still say fixing all of those mirrors after breaking them gets the dorky prize."
