(Semi closed, I need Abi first ) As the year progressed the work kept piling up on the second year's shoulders but Lianna was somehow, through distractions and all managing to get it done and turned in on time. She didn't know how but she was, mind you this disbelief was only heightened within herself seeing as a certain Slytherin happened to be in all the same classes as she. Completing work, yet alone even paying attention was proving more and more difficult. Now most would see no problem in this actually no one would because this, was not the problem, this was normal. The problem, was Abigail had noticed and wouldn't stop prying about it, or rather prying about her suspicions. She had managed to avoid the issue and dodge away for most of the past week but not only was she running out of excuses, she was also running out of time. The Hallows Eve ball was a mere week and a half away and she had yet to obtain a decent amount of courage, or a reasonable moment to ask. So for now, instead of hunting for such a moment or courage, she was fretting over exactly what to do if the courage or moment never arrived. After all she had told Abi she had planned on going. Blah, it was too much for her to try and tackle at once. Getting ready for the ball, plus school work, plus her now constantly against her emotions? It just wasn't working. So, head in her arms over a black dress on the table asleep the girl lay, asleep for the moment as a cat-nap never hurt anyone. But like every other moment of sleep it wouldn't last very long in the slightest. They never did, for a moment later the portrait opened.

Yes indeedy, the portrait swung open, and in walked the aforementioned Abigail Bennett. She dropped her schoolbag on a nearby table and strutted further into the common room before realizing her BFFTTM and all those other letters which go along with it was asleep in one of the chairs, her head resting on her arms and a rather blank expression on her face.
This was the perfect time to finish her prying once and for all. Abby could finally get a straight answer out of the other second year because Lianna would be too sleepy/confused to make up a lie once she woke her up, or so Abigail assumed.
"Li-aaaaaana," she sang softly as she made her way towards the girl. Putting a hand on the girl's shoulder, she leaned close to her head so that she was right next to her ear. "Wake uuuuuuuuuup." Abigail grinned and pulled back, covering her mouth to stifle the giggling.

To anyone observing the moment it would probably prove most amusing as the girl slowly stirred from her rather unintended slumber. "Hmm? Bu' I wnta sleep..." She murmured into her arm as her eyes flickered open for a small moment. She had registered abi's voice and presence, but aside from that honestly figured the girl would leave her alone. If there was a way to be both awake and asleep, she would have thought otherwise.
As her eyes opened once more and her friendc ame more into focus, the girl gave a small yawn and managed a half smile/half frown. It was clear what she'd rather be doing, that being still sleeping.

Abigail removed her hand from her mouth and smiled. "Wakie wakie," she said (apparantly in a good mood). "We need to talk." Abby grabbed Lianna's hand and practically dragged her over to the couch which was situated before the roaring fire. She sat down on one end and waited for the other Huffle to sit down beside her, her eyes alive with who-knows-what and her smile widening with each passing second.

"But I wanna sleeep!" The girl whined in protest as she was dragged from the chair, ball garment left to sit. Having just received it in the mail she had to take her own time to admire the thing before stowing it away for a week or so until it was actually needed, well, after she made sure it fit of course.
Sighing in defeat the youngling collapsed onto the couch next to her friend and finally gave in. "Alright....what...is it so important you have to ruin my sleep?" She questioned crankily (?) while her eyes focused in on the fire light. In the back of her mind there was a feeling she wouldn't like this, but she wasn't awake enough to realize just how right that little voice was.

"You like him, don't you?" Abby asked immediately while completely ignoring her plea for sleep. "That Slytherin bloke, Ty." The second year stared directly at Lianna and tried to get her groggy attention for at the present moment she was staring at the fire, her eyes still half closed. Abigail figured the sooner she asked, the sooner she'd get a truthful response from the still-awakening girl.

If she wasn't three quarters of the way asleep, she would have found a way to dodge it, or some sort of escape door like the past week. But, she wasn't awake nor was she thinking. So, the result of this poor combination but at the same time perfect one would probably leave her humiliated for quite awhile. "Mmm...what?" She questioned blankly, a small yawn escaping her again.
Her lack of sleep wasn't due to nightmares, or the fact that she still feared the dark, though that was a small portion of it. No, her lack of sleep that stemmed to this moment came from her thinking about the exact same thing Abi wanted to know, and that was a problem. For who, was open to debate.

"I said, you like that Slytherin, Ty Calister, don't you?" Abby snapped her fingers in Lianna's ear, trying to wake her up just a tad more so that the Hufflepuff would understand her question (but not enough to give the girl a chance to lie or avoid the question altogether).
She leaned against the back of the couch and turned so that she was facing Lianna, one leg bent and on the couch and the other dangling over the side. Abby felt the warmth of the fire on her cheek and it hit her: she was having a girly chat with Lianna. Or, she would soon be at least. Something she never expected to happen. Maybe Li-Li had a soft, emotional side after all?

Her eyes felt weighted, her body felt tired and all she wanted was sleep. But, apparently sleep was to much to be asking for as Abi persisted with whatever question it was she was asking. Perhaps a third of the way awake now, the girl spoke an answer, or what was presumed one.
"Fly?" She stated in question, rubbing at her eyes, still not comprehending very well. "We flew...last year..." She murmured inbetween her eyes flickering between closed and open. She was tired. What more could she say?

Abigail released a groan that was probably more dramatic than what was called for. "No, not fly," she said with exasperation. "TY! Ty Calister!" She gave the girl a slight shake of the shoulder and a tiny shove so that she would face her. "I've seen you in class and in the Great Hall, staring at him all nervous-like. Just admit it already!"
If Lianna was stalling, Abby would most definitely pay her back; however, maybe the Huffle really was dead tired. Either way Abigail was going to get an answer out of her.

OK, so it wasn't about flying...Eye...Vye? Ty. She was asking about that? Finally comprehending the question she mumbled something in response, a few of the words becoming legible, or at least partially understandable. "...Ye-eh....he's....a-alright..." She mumbled as her eyes closed again. It was the closest to a 'yes' the Hufflepuff would probably get out from her in this state.
Although now with this assumption out she wouldn't be able to avoid an awoken conversation about it. Ignorance was bliss, if you didn't realize you were spilling about something you were trying to ignore.

Abigail almost squealed, but instead a high-pitched giggle came forth from her mouth. "Li-Li!" she nearly screeched while shaking the girl some more. "Wake up! Wakeupwakeupwakeup!" This was exciting, Lianna's first crush. "We need to figure out how you can ask him to the Hallo-Ball!" Okay, so it wasn't like Abby to play match-maker, but she wanted to do it for Lianna and hopefully her best friend wouldn't be so unemotional and might actually enjoy herself at the dance. If all of that could come from one date, the second year Puff would be thrilled.

High pitched laughter to the ears hurt, it was quite tolerable when one did it themselves but when you were pretty much asleep and its that close... Needless to say the girl's eyes flew open at the sudden enthusiasm. And of all the words that were said only three caught. Ask. Him. Ball. But even after those words clicked she realized they could have been meant for anyone, including Abi herself.
"What...?" She questioned, blinking twice as a confused expression took over her face. Everything she had muttered or murmured was gone from her memory. Awake and now thoroughly confused, the Hufflepuff was now officially worried.

"Uuugh," Abby groaned. This was going to be an impossible conversation to get through. "I said, we need to figure out a way for you to ask Ty to the Halloween Dance!" Her eyes were looking at Lianna expectantly and a huge smile lit up her face. Now that Li-Li was awake, the real convincing could begin.

And internally Lianna had done the same. What had she said, how much and how badly would she regret it? "What?! B-but...I didn-don't..." She was cornered and she knew it, but she still had to try and evade it. After all, it wouldn't be fitting if she simply gave up. The girl's words were tripping over themselves trying tnot o contradict eachother, and she was failing miserably.
"I mean...he's a friend, I don't....Abi, don't look at me like that...."
