Rebecca walked into the greenhouse. She looked at the potted plants. She had absolutely no idea what the plants were but she really hoped that they wouldn't try and bite a chunk out of he. Rebecca took a seat as far away from plants as she could get which was difficult being in a greenhouse.

Verina had spent most of her lunch wandering the grounds munching on a sandwich she'd snagged from the Great Hall. First thing on her imaginary list was meeting people but second to that was getting to know her new home better. She wandered into a Greenhouse since according to her schedule Herbology was after lunch.
"Hey Everyone!" She said upon entering the classroom and spotting people talking here and there. With a smile on her lips she found a seat somewhere in the middle. Her eyes began to rove around the classroom as she took in the different types of plants some she recognized and other's she'd never seen before.

This class was something alright. Although it wasn't his favorite class. As he enterted the classroom, he saw a few classmates of his. He met almost everyone in here, except for one or two people. This was like his first or second month here at Hogwarts, so he had to know atleast 50 - 75% of his classmates. He took a seat and put his head down. He wasn't tired, but he was bored.

Well, he'd waited long enough, in fact, far longer than intended, but it was indeed the most dreaded time of the period for all of them. The moment in which to start class. Admitting the last few stragglers before whisking the door shut with his wand. Robert walked tot he front from the back of the room, not a word spoken. The Ministry, Thorne specifically seemed to have been paying him more vists than what he felt necessary over the past month but he couldn't doa thing about it.
Needless to say his mind was most diverted. "Good day to all of you, Mr. Eden head up, the plant before you should look familiar, can anyone name it?" Robert bwgan, same question as any other, if anyone could name the plant of the day. The problem with today's plant was it was a copycat. The most likely correct answer was in fact, not the correct answer.

Pat smiled at the responses he got from his fellow students, but chose not to answer verbally, giving himself a little opportunity to rest before the start of class. It wasn't long however, before Shaw actually began the lesson.
Pat thought for a while about Shaw's question. What was this plant...? Shaw had mentioned it should look familiar; did that mean they had studied it before? Pat thought back, and one plant in particular came to mind, that they'd studied last year. Raising his hand, Pat asked, "Is it Devil's Snare?" The plant before them did remind him a lot of the Snare, and Pat was fairly certain of his answer.

Verina began to rock slightly in her stool, leaning back she held onto the seat to keep her balance as she looked at the plant they'd be studying today. She could have sworn she'd seen that plant before...... somewhere.
She glanced back as a Huffle boy gave his guess at what the plant might be. She didn't think it was the Devil's Snare but she couldn't think of what it might be called. It was at the tip of her tongue but it kept slipping, "I don't think it's the Devils Snare," Verina said a frown coming to her lips at her inability to come up with an answer.

(Alright, since the rest of them seem to have died...)
Robert nodded to each respectively in the order of their hands, well voices in this case and actually had a small smile on his face at the bewilderment of the both of them. "No Mr. Nollet, I'm afraid your incorrect, 5 points for a close answer however. Miss Alvarez, you're on the right track. Come on, your welcome to give it a go, what say the rest of you, I'm sure one of you has some idea of what we're looking at."
At least he had two of them paying attention. That was a start...perhaps the rest of them needed a wake up call?

After saying a quick hello to Verina as she came in Jack turned his attention back to the front of the class. He wasn't paying the best of attention and was just kind of staring off into space, but he did catch the other students answer to a question that he had obviously missed. Coming back around he figured that they must be trying to guess what the plant was that was in front of them.
OK so it wasn't Devil's Snare, but it did look a lot like it. Trying to remember if he had come across any plants that resembled Devil's Snare or had its characteristics, he racked his brain for the slightest of information that he could remember. Recalling that there was one particular plant that resembled it, but didn't really do anything exciting. He thought that they couldn't possible be studying Flitterbloom, so he tried to think of some other kind of plant that he had read about. Coming up with nothing he raised his hand and said, "It wouldn't be Flitterbloom would it?"

At Jack's words Verina's eyes widen in comprehension, "That's what it is!" she exclaimed jumping up off her seat in her excitement, causing the stool to almost fall over, "I knew i'd recognized it," Verina said after her intial reaction had subsided. It had been right their on the tip of her tongue but she'd been unable to recall its name.
Realizing that a few people had looked at her or had begun to she quickly righted her stool and sat back down. Tugging a lock of hair that'd fallen out of her ponytail behind a ear Verina hoped silently that not that many people had heard her.

Grinding her teeth, Malanda Walmsley, Head of the Department of Magical Education, pulled open the door of the Herbology classroom with more force than was required. Oh, she would have Thorne's head one of these days. Have it served on a nice platter with a side of hors d'oeuvres. Try as she might, she could not hinder this. The nerve of the man!
To think that he had actually wanted to come after Shaw himself. Oh ho. Walmsley had not been about to let that happen. No one but a member of the Department of Education was going to stick so much as a pinky toe in business such as this. And as the lot of her Department seemed at loss of backbones, here she was.
Letting the door slam shut, her nostrils flexed at the feel of the presence of that very annoying man looming at her back. An auror 'for her protection', that old halfwit had called it. More like Mr.-High-And-Mighty finding a little spy to send with her and get his fat greasy nose into this. If indirectly. But no doubt the lapdog following her would report every little detail to his head honcho. Pets were good at obeying their masters.
Shaw was standing in front of his class talking when she entered. Robes fluttering about her legs as she halted suddenly, not giving a bloody damn if she brought the auror up short, she took a moment to glance over the students before latching her gaze on the Professor. Malanda looked like the living breathing image of a Ministry Official, right down to the silk of the official robes and the golden patch that showed her as a Head of a Department.
"Mr. Robert Leekal Shaw," She said clearly, in a very emotionless tone, "I apologize for this intrusion. But by Degree of the Minister of Magic and my authority as Malanda Walmsley, Head of the Department of Magical Education, I must ask you you to cease your current activity and come with me."
Oh, she would boil Thorne. The man probably had chosen this time to recommend to the Minister knowing Shaw would be removed from a classroom. In front of students. It took every effort of self-control to keep that diplomatic mask.

Ash turned around from her short day dream to find a Ministry worker behind them. They were everywhere these days. Ash tilted her head a little bit, wondering why this woman needed Shaw. She glanced around the classroom to catch the other's expressions, most of them matched her own.
What would happen to the class if Shaw had to leave. There was no appointed substitute so... what would that mean?

As the door slammed shut to the classroom Jack spun around in his seat to see what student would dare to make such a disturbance. It wasn't a student but two Ministry of Magic workers that looked like they were there on official business. What the... he thought to himself as he watched them walk further into the classroom and then finally as the lady in the lead spoke his glance never faltering the whole time.
So Shaw was going to have to leave his class. Did this mean that they wouldn't have to sit through the whole lesson after all. No they weren't possibly that lucky, surely there would be a replacement or Shaw would be back in a few minutes. He mustn't get his hopes up.

(Miss Xin, Mr. Roarbitz you may edit accordingly, as I had hoped to post right after Madame Walmsley, pardon my additiopn)
There was a moment of eerie silence, that in reality wasn't silent at all. Silence was merely the noise of thinking. And after a moment the breif answer fromt he ravenclaw came forward. A correct answer at that. "And Mr. Roarbitz has it ladies and gents, Flitterbloom, looks dangerous, really isn't. As a matter of fact, in most botanical gardens, any tag that reads Devil's Snare, and isn't enclose, is probably this thing." Robert paused, allowing the commendation and words of lecture to sink in.
The intrusion however was most, surprising, unwelcome, and confirming of the morning long fear in his stomach. No one ever used a middle name, or even middle initial for anything good. Never, not on a child, and certainly not on an adult.
"Quite, well, since I knwo not how long this will take, anyone wishing more information on today's topic may stop by my office at anytime. Class dismissed." Robert voiced, a slight tinge of what could perhaps be noted as fear, or at least concern etched into the corners and crevices of his face. Ministry, and him. What in the name of Merlin was going on?
And to create a scene like this as well. Oh the rumors would fly, and on top of that, if they were creating a scene, that meant whatever it was was an immediate issue. Procrastination was certainly in order. and thus he began making his front desk tidy, or atleast orderly looking, as well as pulling out the lesson plans for the rest oft he day's classes.
"Pardon the delay, I just need to make sure everyhting his here for the rest of the day's classes."

Yes! There it was. His hopes confirmed. Shaw had dismissed class and they had a fair amount of free time on their hands. He didn't know what he was going to do with it, but he certainly wasn't going to wait around and give the man a chance at second guessing himself. He quickly packed his things, throwing his bag over his shoulder, and bolted for the greenhouse door as fast as he could manage.

Eh, so his guess had turned out wrong. It wasn't Devil's Snare, but at least he'd gotten some points for effort. Verina and Jack seemed to think differently of the identity of the plant. Flitterbloom? Pat vaugely remembered glancing at the name before somehwere, but he couldn't remember anything at all about it. Well, he'd know soon enough; or at least, so he thought before the door opened, then slammed shut.
Pat's attention shifted immediately toward the door, where two people were standing. Pat could tell immediately that they weren't teachers, but Ministry officials. His face set into a slight frown as the woman, name given by herself as Malanda Walmsley, Head of the Department of Education, called for Shaw to come with her. The way she said it, the fact that a Ministry official had interrupted their class at all, gave Pat a bad feeling.
At Shaw's response, Pat frown became a little more pronounced. The professor's voice had sounded a little tense; perhaps he had the same sense of forboding Pat had at the moment. Unlike Jack though, Pat didn't leave immediately. He rose to his feet, hands on the desk in front of him. "What's goin' on?" he asked, directing it at anyone who bothered to answer him.
