Having already changed into her yellow and black quidditch robes, boots, and weather-appropriate attire, Abby jogged down from the castle towards the pitch and quickly arrived at the Hufflepuff locker room. A good warm-up run was needed after missing the last game. She felt 100% better, however, and was anxious for the game. Brown locks tied back into a ponytail with a yellow and black scrunchy, the second year pushed her way through the tent flaps and into the not-so-filled-up locker room.
She heard the last part of Krissy's speech and grinned; excitement was shining in her eyes. "Hey, we're supposed to be having fun anyway, right?" Abby piped as she shuffled passed Krissy and towards her own locker. It felt good to be back on the team. The Huffle had heard about the near-fight during the Huffle/Raven game and didn't want to mention it; it was best to stay high-spirited and in a good mood during and before the match. She didn't need to be adding more tension to the atmosphere.
Abigail opened her locker and pulled her broom from it. She had polished it the night before and stored it carefully away in her locker, and her brown eyes looked it over admiringly. It was smooth and glistening, and Abby set it down on one of the benches. She than took her black gloves from the shelf in her locker and strapped them on her hands. She was ready to go.

His locker door slammed, shutting with a forced 'click' of distaste as he pulled on the leather grip gloves. "No...I don't." Corey stated simply to the Ravenclaw's words. He didn't have to, there was nothingt hat said one couldn't judge aloud, and opinions were also aloud to change. The boy had been an alternate for a reason, he had to earn his keep like the rest of them. Not that there really was a keep to earn except for brief bragging rights.
His locker still had a dent in it, one he planned on not repairing, it was there as a reminder to him that anger did damage. And damage got one in more trouble than it did feel good to give. The Gryffindor Keeper let out a small grumble of undeterminable emotion before leaving the locker room.
Oh yes he was ticked, yes he wanted to win, and yes he knew he couldn't do much fromt he hoops except block the quaffle if it ever made it down to his end. He didn't know who Huffle's keeper would be, nor the chaser rotation and in all actuality those were the only people he had to focus on. The ref wasn't even on the field yet, but the crate of quidditch balls sat in the middle of the field in anticiaption.
Game on already.

Stepping into the locker room, apparently on time this day, Keagan was able to witness Brittany's demeanor before and after the wave of relief flowed through her. She could also feel the tension in the room between Corey, one of the new chasers, and a Ravenclaw girl. As she walked further into the locker room, trying to figure out what she should do first, Corey walked past her and out to the field. It looked like the team's struggle last game had got to him. If today didn't go better, a team meeting might be in order.
She nodded to Deryn and Brittany, not sure if either girl saw it or not - though she was sure Brittany would notice her arrival - and then stopped next to Noah and the Ravenclaw girl. "Please don't take this the wrong way," she began, looking to Ash with a sheepish look. She felt she was only doing what was necessary. "But I think I have to ask you to leave the locker room so we can finish getting ready for the game. Everybody should be here soon, and Britt always gives a pep talk."

Noah, deciding that Keag was probably right, shooed Ash away. "I'll see you after the game, wish me luck." he said to her as he gently pushed her out of the locker room. He sat down on the wooden bench, reached up for a pair of Quidditch gloves and started putting them on.
It seemed that the team wasn't of the best spirits, so he decided to just keep quiet. He gave Corey a sideglance as he left for the field and shook his head. "Hey Gerislynn," he greeted the co-captain finally, giving her a small smile as he put on his left glove on.

"Hey Noah," Keagan greeted in reply as she headed to her locker to retrieve her Quidditch robes. Once again, the robes were the only thing she hadn't put on yet. Pulling the robes on, she turned back to her teammates who were in the locker room. "That wasn't rude of me, was it Tuesday?" she asked, adding a sarcastic tone to his last name as she was only using it to imitate what seemed to be the fifth years habit.
It was now that she headed over to the bench where Britt sat and took a seat on the end of the bench across from the seventh year.

Ash nodded to Keagan -she should probably leave- but was surprised when Noah was pushing her out. She growled and attempted to shove him off, she could very well walk by herself, thank you. Ash huffed, it wasn't as if she was going to say 'no' and run around the locker room with frustrated Gryffindors chasing her, she wasn't that stupid or stubborn. Ash trudged back to the Ravenclaw stands, without saying a word to anyone.
It didn't seem as if many of the Ravenclaws had arrived yet. She sat down stiffly on one of the chairs- waiting for the game to begin.

If anyone was in a bad mood today, no one could top the referee's. Among other things going on lately, he'd been stood up last night and felt, quite plainly, humiliated and angry. As he stormed down to the pitch ten minutes late, the man muttered and cursed under his breath. His day wasn't starting out well and he doubted it would get any better.
"Out on the pitch. Now," he slammed the door to the Gryffindor's locker room open and accosted the team, as though it was their fault the game was running late. "Game starts in one minute."
Ryder then turned tail and headed to the Hufflepuff locker room, greeting them in similar fashion.

Ash watched as Ryder stormed in and out of the Gryffindor Locker room. What got that man's panties in a bunch? It seemed that everyone was in a bad mood today (not excluding our dear Noah). Ash sighed to herself, tapping her foot on the stands. Why weren't there any Ravenclaws here yet? She felt so stupid sitting alone especially after being kicked out of the Gryffindor Locker room by her own friend.
Aih, she wished that Talia was here-- it was so strange not to have her here at Hogwarts. Truely, she missed her friend a lot. Afterall, she had been the only one to really accept Ash for who she was when she arrived at Hogwarts and be there when Ash needed her the most. She had even managed to open up to Talia, to tell her about them and to of course just be herself without much of a care. Ash sighed, looking down at her lap- it saddened her to think about Talia.

" Oi! Xin! " Dean called out. It seemed that he had been making a tradition out of sitting with Ash on the games that weren't Slytherin ones, so why stop the tradition now? He climbed the stairs to the Ravenclaw stands and took a seat next to Ash. " What's up? I brought some.... food... " He said, and then began to set out a napkins filled with food such as toast, bacon, sausage and... a few other things. Dean had been running a little late that morning and had barely had time to pick up some food. But there was more than enough for Ash, and probably a few other people, too.
" Help your self. " He said with a grin.

Verina had been slightly surprised when she'd been asked to play Beater for their house team. But at the same time she'd been completely excited maybe now she'd be able to prove herself to her own house. That she was an excellent asset to them. She just thanked god that she'd always been really good at sports and not clumsy in the least when it came to them.
She'd picked up Quidditch when she'd started school in Korea but hadn't played very much on the team. But one thing that mattered was that she did have experience mostly from the year before she moved to the U.K.
Jumping in her bones with enthusiam and nerves Verina reached the Gryffindor locker room only a moment before the referee had announced for the game to begin in one minute. She was lucky she'd allready dressed beforehand since she'd been too jumpy to wait around until the game would be starting.
Standing in her robes she looked over at the team, "Sorry 'bout getting here right before the game started. But i won't let you down," She said a slightly apologetic expression touching her face before a determined light filled her eyes at her next words.

Ash looked up, finding Dean standing over her. She smiled at him, she always felt so short next to guys that were in the second year or older. She clapped her hands together at the sight of food. " Aih! Really? Thank you!" she said taking a bacon with her mittens. " I'm with the Huffles on this game-- but I'm rooting for Tuesday," she said beaming.
Ash had been happier lately, figuring that moping wouldn't help her situation nore anyone elses. Besides, she had gotten pretty sick of herself, being all sad and mad all the time. Even though she had to put up a face sometimes it was worth it.

Brittany couldn't help but let a smile come over her face as Corey spoke to Noah about his 'pep talk'. She was thankful for it so that she didn't have to slap him and look like a mean captain. That wouldn't have been very captain-like manners. As Ryder sourly and quite rudely shouted that the game would start in one minute she knew that her pep talk would be a small one. She couldn't hold it off any longer and had no idea how the team would react to her decision. Especially, the one it effected the most-Keagan. Standing up, she gave a sigh and gathered her players attention.
"Alright listen up! There's a major change in this game today that I really didn't have time to even think about. Just this morning I found out that Tristan is out with a bum leg or something. I let him be and didn't ask about it. So for this game, at least, I will be taking the seeker position." Brittany paused breifly letting her words sink in before continueing.
"This is going to be very different for me, since I've been playing chaser since I first started out. But don't worry about me. Tuesday, Morgan-you'll be playing chasers so go on your instincts and make sure you know where the quaffle is at all times. Keag, I want you to lead them in different formations that we were talking about. Verina, Anna- watch them. You know the drill. And Corey, do what you do and don't let them score. Your the best we've got." Brittany smiled encouragingly to all of them.
She knew that they could do this and she was going to have a better view of it all by playing seeker. Maybe she would even be able to control her players this way. Hopefully, a lot better than what she had been doing. "Let's hit it!" Brittany grabbed her broom and made her way out to the center of the field.

"Got it," he said, nodding to Brittany-- glad that she found her voice. He nodded at Deryn and put his broom over his shoulder and smiled at Verina, patting her roughly on the shoulder. "C'mon Alvarez, let's play Quidditch," he said as he smiled at the sun. Today was such a glorious day to play Quidditch, it was a bit cold, but it was almost perfect. He made his way to the pitch and his heart beat a little. There were so many people around him. It looked like nearly the whole school was there.
Tuesday wasn't nervous until now... He tried to look for his friends in the stands but couldn't make out any faces. He thought he saw Ash, but it was just an ugly old man with weird hair. He gulped and muttered under his breath. "No need to get worried right?" He eyed the other players nervously.

Chaser? Really? That perked Deryn up a heck of a lot. At least now she didn't have to worry about the Snitch. Chaser was her position, and she planned on playing it damn well. Nodding back at the boy, she grabbed her broom and headed out of the change room.
On the pitch, Deryn mounted her broom and took off around the field, making two laps before she stopped and hovered in mid-air. It was amazing to be back on a broom finally, and the air blowing in her face felt nice. It cooled her off, outside and in. Today was her day. She wasn't going to let some stupid guy ruin her. At least, not for the match.

((We're just gonna pretend I was here the whole time XD))
Vanessa didn't even know if anyone saw her in the dressing room. She was sort of hidden away in the corner, fully-dressed and waiting for the match to begin. She listened to the conversations going on around her, but said nothing. Krissy's pep talk pumped her up, and she was ready to get out onto the pitch. A few times, she rolled her wrist around to make sure it was OK. It cracked, but didn't hurt. The bandage was still wrapped around it tightly, so it really wouldn't move very much. If she hurt it again, she knew she'd be dead.
Standing up, Nessa finally came out of her hiding spot. "We ready to go?" she said to Krissy, waiting to get onto the pitch and start flying around to warm up.
